Neither Abby nor Marcus are doing great after the events of Mt. Weather, but Abby especially is weighed down by her daughter's disappearance. Therefore Marcus makes it his personal goal to support her, and help her as much as he can - whatever that may require - and in his endeavours to help her, he comes to realise that she is helping him just as much.
