For prompt 6. Under the Mistletoe of the Holidazes Challenge
The mistletoe was exceptional this year. If you didn’t follow the tradition while under its watchful red eyes, it would whistle, wail, burst in light and throw a tantrum. It’s fun, especially as the crowd cries along and cheers.
It’s fun. Until Johnny and Kerry cross paths again under the mistletoe, something like 60 years after they kissed for the one and only time in the same circumstances.
Life loops are fucking unfair. Or not.

For the prompt: Signs of aging
Kerry doesn’t know what woke him up. It’s so early the sun is barely peeking through the windows, so it’s not sunlight. He can’t hear the cat pawing its way across the bedroom to sing the breakfast plea, and even that gremlin doesn’t bother rising before the sun anymore. Johnny doesn’t snore.
Maybe it’s something above them all, a guardian angel nudging him awake so he can see the moment happening.
There's one silver hair growing on Johnny's temple.

" Johnny doesn’t know how to explain the urge he has to see Kerry wearing his tags again, how right it feels to see them there, harsh silver against delicate gold.
It feels like fire and fuel rejoicing, like gunpowder and bullets. Like it’s meant to be, meant to fit together. He hasn’t planned it, would have prepared some off handed, smart twist of words and sweetened it with a pet name or two but he hasn’t. His tongue is heavy and tied behind his teeth.
“Fuck, Johnny, I swear if this is your fucking version of a rebound because V decided she didn’t wanna keep you after all, I’m kicking you out too”.
"The story of how someone who's shit at feelings can learn to make amends, and some brainrot about that little scene in the game where Kerry is wearing dogtags with Johnny's name on it, and what happens if dog tags are used like flowers in a Victorian era courtship.

Summary
Johnny's alive, back in his own body. Arasaka didn't take the best care of it, so he's a bit weak at the moment.
Luckily, he has a few pairs of willing hands to help him get clean, and some more. Kerry's villa has unlimited hot water supplies and V might decide they all live in the shower until Kerry gets a big bathtub installed.
This is the self indulgent, fluff-smut follow up to "A balm to his heart" and I tried to make it so you didn't need to read it first, but it's better if you do so. The angst makes the sweetness better.

He decides to sit at Kerry's feet when he finds him playing in the living room in the morning sunlight. Grew fluff and smut, then feelings, a lot, and some real grown adult conversation about said feelings. Then more smut and fluff. V really wants to get Kerry to keep using his lovely voice of his.
Also, the fancy white couch does not survive.
