背景：
在生态系统崩溃，陆地尽数荒漠化的末世废土中，巨头公司RDA为了延续人类火种推行了“阿凡达计划”，旨在通过基因工程而制造出能够适应如今恶劣环境的生物躯体作为媒介。
当时初代阿凡达尚未成熟，导致早期使用者全军覆没，高昂的成本与未知的致命缺陷使这项技术沦为权贵方可染指的特权，尚存的人类社会也撕裂为两个极端：一个是固守肉体的保守派，仅将其作为“意识备份”或“第二分身”，依旧保留人体作为本源；另一个则是拥抱新躯体的飞升派，彻底抛弃人类肉体，完成意识上传。
但即使在这样的地球，阶级矛盾依然存在，只有掌握权与钱的顶层精英才能在旧世界崩塌前购置阿凡达躯体，至于苟延残喘的底层贫民除了等待死亡没有任何选择权。由于阿凡达在生理结构上与人类高度相似，废弃的、试验失败的、或被盗杀的阿凡达躯体会流入黑市，被当作高级肉类贩卖，“吃掉富人”成了绝望者获取力量的途径与最后的狂欢。
Ps：凤凰小队是RDA在末世前非法盗用国家信息库里已阵亡精锐士兵的记忆性格档案做的。
