“Oh Bucky.” The girl looked down at him with a soft smile. She took her free hand and brought it up to the side of his face, running it down from his temple to cup his scruffy jaw. He couldn’t help but lean into her new touch, trying to find anything but pain. “You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.” Hazel’s voice dripped with sweet sugar as her lips curled.
The man let out a loud grunt when a flame of electricity rocket through his entire body. Every muscle was stiff and he could feel his chest constricting, the oxygen becoming harder and harder to swallow. His knees were shaking, trying to keep him upright.
“Thinking you could save me?” Hazel shook her head and the smile had disappeared from her face. “But you didn’t save me, Bucky, did you?” Her black eyes narrowed as she leaned down towards his withering face, so close he could feel her breathe on his lips.
“You let me die.”
