They were both reclusive, perhaps borne out of necessity rather than by nature. But it was this necessity that brought them the successes (and downfalls) they experienced. There was an acute awareness of how imperative it was to keep their cards clutched tight to their hearts to prevent laying victim to another, more ruthless opponent. In a way, that was what drew them together.
