Niles felt as if he had found a friend, but also a formidable opponent. Someone who wielded words as skillfully as a sword. When he won their verbal sparring matches, the butler emerged invigorated, and when he lost, he craved more. The more time passed, the more he needed to see her every day. He had to admit, his life had been quite dull but thanks to her, he had a hobby: pushing her buttons, just enough to admire the crimson flush on her cheeks.

People rushed to take a peek at them. Admire the beauty and the beast who were now in charge of the country. The beast was half insect and half human, its iridescent limbs seemed even more precious than ivory. His skin seemed human at first glance, but if you leaned in a little, it looked like the skin of a beetle or a rare coleopteran. What was striking were his deep magenta eyes, as if fuschia flowers had bloomed in his pupils. A piercing gaze, which looked towards the future. The look of a leader, not a fraudulent one. This misshapen figure next to the Queen was almost grotesque but it had to be said that they looked good together. A colorful demon coddling a moth. A Mint leaf beetle protecting his White ermine.

Niles didn't understand what had happened to her. Beside the coma. Sometimes he wanted to actually ask her where she'd been for the past six months, but he instead absorbed the details C.C. dropped like breadcrumbs. She'd once asked him to buy the movie Ghost, and right in the middle of the movie, she'd make this strange remark about how unrealistic it was. She still liked to tease him, and her nicknames seemed more affectionate than insulting. Baroness was her favorite. They had decided to watch The Sound of Music one day when C.C was bored, the only problem was they couldn't get Do-re-mi out of their heads.

Il était grand. Imposant mais pas d’une mauvaise manière comme Horsa qui prenait en otage tout l’espace. Il était grand, impressionnant mais avec la qualité de s’invisibiliser dans le paysage. Ses traits de visage même au repos étaient sympathiques, Guenièvre devait l’avouer. Il devait avoir l’habitude de sourire dans le passé mais avait oublié comment faire fonctionner son visage. Guenièvre en était certaine, le soldat, dans une autre vie, devait souvent rire, elle reconnaissait bien les rides au niveau de ses yeux.

A fill-in for the missing scene between Niles and C.C.'s fight and them being discovered in bed together in the Dummy Twins episode. As if there isn't plenty of these already. But, I couldn't resist. C.C. freaks out, she cries, Niles cries, there's confessions, there's reconciliation.
