“Have you ever thought,” Henry began, once they had settled back into place, all of Hans’ pointy bits corralled by Henry’s arms, “about doin’ it like y’do with women?”
Hans had imagined some question about a new grip for a sword, or a new deer track Henry wanted to investigate, or a new antic he wanted to unleash on the Hangman’s Halter. Not that.
Though none of those would have made him flush as he did before asking.
“Taking it up the arse, you mean?”
Henry and Hans, new to relationships with men and with very little prior experience between them, decide to try something often joked about, but never fully described. Things don’t go as smoothly as planned.

Summary
It’s a dangerous line of thought to pursue in public. Hans lounging in the bathtub, naked as the day he was born, gulping from the tankard whilst Henry’s eyes – greedy, shameful – stole glimpses at the working of his fine throat, the water dripping off his blond hair to puddle in the hollow between his collarbones. Henry swallows, licking his lips to ward off the sudden dryness of his mouth, casting glances around the room to ensure nobody has caught him in his base thoughts. He feels a frisson of – something – slide down his spine beneath his pourpoint as his gaze meets another, steadier, black one in the corner.
Black Bartosch and Henry’s night together, in which Henry tries to fuck the desperate, pining crush he has on Hans out of his system and Bartosch is too gentle and understanding for words.
