    That pop song wasn’t even remotely Damian’s style. In fact, it was a terrible song.
    He hit play, stopping for the first time to actually pay attention to the lyrics. The whole All-American teenage story made his lips twist into a grimace. It was the kind of song the girls at Gotham Academy would blast at full volume.

    Should’ve kissed you anyway...

    A face rose unbidden in Damian’s mind. Dark hair that, the last time he’d seen it, had grown far too long and stuck up in a ridiculous cowlick. Just as ridiculous as the freckles and the bright blue eyes that always seemed alert to everything. Just as ridiculous as the childish trouble Damian used to get into before—

    When Jonathan Kent’s face settled fully in his thoughts, the rest of the song faded into nothing.

    Death was not a new concept to Damian Wayne. Not when he died. Over and over and over. Not when the Lazarus Pit flowed beneath his skin. Death wasn't something Damian was worried about .Not when he couldn't die. But holding secrets from his family, who paint him as reckless and too abrasive, is bound to pile up till it explodes. And of course, it starts and ends with Damian dying. Oh, and Jon's there too. Damian blames the start of his unraveling as Jonathan's fault. But, to be fair, its really not as bad as it seems. For Damian at least.
