    Aymeric de Borel, a priest of the Halonic Orthodox Church serving the faithful in the Brume, falls victim to a most unfortunate circumstance: attacked and tainted by some nightkin, cursed to crave blood and fear daylight.

    He flees the densely populated Holy See for a small village on the fringes called Ferndale, hoping to take refuge among strangers and sate his voidsent tastes on wild game rather than innocent victims.     Aymeric, already a matured elezen, has yet to present as a beta or otherwise, much to the growing displeasure of the clergy. As a knight, he cannot be an omega and have a hope of rising to a high station. As a follower of the See, he cannot be an omega or else face damnation and shame—and likely bring further scandal to the church as the bastard son of the Archbishop.

    Or so he has been convinced.

    Yet despite a lifetime of being taught that to be an omega is to be profane, his secret wish is to know what it would be like to become one... and it may have at last come true, much to his own despair.
