"What do you think it is to be human?” Flins asks, slow and deliberate, fingers tracing the rim of his drink.
“To be human is to feel,” Illuga says, definitively. “To be human is to hurt, to bleed, to cry. And then wake up the next day and do it again. Wake up a thousand times and do it again, knowing that the pain doesn’t stop.”
Flins’ gaze is piercing. “Why?”
“Because if we can still feel pain, we can still feel joy.”
Illuga thinks he knows what it means to be human. He has a few things to learn.

Summary
Mizuki Kawano has been unlucky his entire life, from the moment he was a small child. His grandparents died of unnatural causes and his mother died in a suspicious drowning. His father later tragically perished too, leaving behind nine year old Mizuki Kawano, after getting himself into debt with the Hashimoto clan.
Mizuki does not know of freedom, but when a surprise encounter during a Talon mission catches him off guard, Mizuki finds himself straying a new and dangerous path. Will Mizuki be able to free himself of his family curse, or will straying from the Hashimoto be the final nail in his coffin?
Note: Mizuyang is the primary ship here but there's other ships mentioned.

Flins wants to devour him. Wants to lick every inch of skin. Make Illuga bleed fresh just so he can chase the flavor as it wells up.
He uses what is perhaps his last shred of sanity to say, “I hope Young Master isn’t getting himself injured on purpose.”
Illuga laughs, breathless. “No, I promise. Just bad luck.” His hand slides from Flins' cheek down to his jaw, thumb brushing over his lower lip. “Or good luck, depending on the perspective.”

"I can feel your heart beating, Emre. It gets so fast when I'm near you."
The man's breath hitched. He was a fool for thinking he could hide from the god-program under his skin. A cloned hand gently held his face, the scruff of his beard brushing against it. Chernobog tilted its head, processing.
"Can you tell me why that is?"

“Y’know,” Stelle starts, “Blade would be an S-tier actor in one of these. They don't even have to bother with special effects.”
“...I don't think that's ethical.”
“If he consents to it, what does it matter?”
Dan Heng sighs.
Stelle begins throwing popcorn in a much more targeted attack at the shadowed corner behind the doorway. As she aims, the larger man in the film is being unraveled at the seams by the doctor, the positioning and noises obscene.
“I bet you'd love for Dan Heng to chop you up like that.”
