Summary
At HYBE High, Kang Taehyun is the (only) nerd teachers rely on whenever tutoring help is needed. He doesn’t usually mind, but if there’s one person he would never want to tutor, that'd be the school’s most infamous playboy, Choi Beomgyu. Popular, cocky, and flirtatious, Beomgyu has a reputation for breaking hearts as easily as he wins soccer matches. To Taehyun, he’s overrated. Sure, Beomgyu is undeniably attractive, and one smile from him is enough to send Taehyun’s heart racing, but Taehyun refuses to see the hype. Beomgyu’s way too arrogant, egotistical, and far too charming for his own good.
But unfortunately, Taehyun’s refusal skills (or lack thereof) don’t work on teachers.
With soccer season looming and Beomgyu’s failing grades threatening his spot on the team, Taehyun is stuck tutoring the one boy who drives him insane. Beomgyu proves to be every bit as exasperating—smug, distracting, and shamelessly flirty—as Taehyun thinks him to be, but Taehyun has two plans in mind to get himself through this: get Beomgyu’s grades from Ds and Fs to As and Bs, and not fall in love with the one boy whom’s destined to break his heart in one way or another.
He’s only successful with one.

Summary
What would happen if Will Byers was never found during the events of Stranger Things season 1? How would he survive the upside down? How would the people of Hawkins react?
Will breathed in a ragged breath. Black smoke poured from his mouth as he tore himself free from the wall. He collapsed forward, coughing and gasping on the cold, moist floor.
His heart pounded in his ears as he shakily scrambled to his feet. Eyes darting around the abyss, he started to run. And he ran, and ran, and ran.
His feet pounded on the ground when suddenly he found himself on a familiar path. Finally, something familiar. Will sprinted through the woods, as a feeling of hope filtered its way through the panic. He was getting there, he was gonna be safe, it was finally within reach.
Castle Byers.
The pain in his chest and legs screamed at him to rest, but he couldn't risk stopping. He pushed himself further, calves aching with each step. Suddenly, a loud screech echoed through the air from somewhere up ahead.

"I have Ms. Kelly today," Max says, almost bitterly. "You'll be okay at lunch without me?" she says it sarcastically, like a joke, but there's an undercurrent of something else in her voice; for a moment, she almost sounds scared.
Will releases her hand, even as they walk out of the gym doors together. "Works out for me," he tells her, "I have that project for art I have to finish up anyways." He pauses, hesitates. "Will you be okay without me?"
Max takes a breath, and then gives him a shaky smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "I'll have your tape," she says, wiggling the wires of her headphones. "See you after school."

or: a shared tragedy brings max and will together for their first year of high school in hawkins. they stay together, even as their demons rise again. a s4 rewrite, in which joyce is the one who dies at the end of s3 and thus the byers + el never move.

Summary
At some point Will realised his hand was still over Chance’s. Maybe it was the liquor sitting heavy in his system, or maybe it was just sheer dumb courage, but he felt himself gently shift his hand to the side, moving until it sat flush beside Chance’s.
Maybe the alcohol was clouding Will’s senses, but he could have sworn Chance’s fingers shifted to brush his.
