Summary
Lan’s whole life was predetermined for her by her father, a Fire Nation noble and a direct descendant of Avatar Szeto. She complied at first, even falling in love with the man she was supposed to marry, but slowly, as she grew older, she realized how much she didn’t want it.
No matter, she’ll just run away. It was a pretty simple solution with little consequences… or so she thought. Now, four years after she left, the Avatar and, subsequently, her ex, end up at Kyoshi Island, her new home.
How will this ex-noble brave through spirits, ex(s), and adventures with the Avatar?
(Everyone is aged up 3 years for plot purposes.)

That was not your Husband anymore, that was Vox, a reminder of the shell of the man you once knew, once loved, and the evil you just stood by and let him commit.
You don't even know if he was looking for you, if he even cared or if he left you behind with his old self, but when you foolishly get caught by his "marketing tactics", aka hypnosis, and he catches wind that his angel was down here with him, lost (and definitely not hiding), that old life, and the many many feelings that are attached, come quickly catching up to you.

“I have come to strike a bargain.” I explain. “May I inquire on who it is I speak with.”
“I am called Muse. Tell me, for what cause hast thou sought mine audience” He asks.
“I seek to lengthen my days, not to claim eternal immortality, but only until the work appointed me on this earth be fulfilled. In return, I shall yield my soul unto thee.” I say.
