“Crowley I’m-”
“No.” Now he turned around and smacked his hand on the table. He stalked up to the angel and pressed his finger against his chest accusingly. “You don’t get to come in here, show up out of the blue, and apologize. I won’t forgive you. I don’t forgive you, and I never will.” He realized he was far too close now and took several steps away. “I’m not capable of saying those words.”
“I hurt you. I repeated what God has done and there are no words I can say to salvage that.” Aziraphale placed a hand over where Crowley’s finger just was. “But I can’t last up there any longer. I missed you.” He turned to the shop. “I missed this.” He took a step closer to Crowley but didn’t invade his space. “I missed our world.” Crowley hissed.
“You abandoned this world.”
“And for that I cannot apologize enough. Or at all really.” His eyes darted to the ground then back up to Crowley. “Please.” His voice was just above a broken whisper. “I do want this to last forever.” Crowley was frozen in his spot. Now, it was Aziraphale’s turn to do the impossible. He would just sit back for the ride.
