After the dramatic and deadly events regarding the Eclipse cannon, Agent Stone and the eggcentric Dr Robotnik retreat to one of Robotnik's last remaining 'secret' Labs in the Midwest of the United States. There, they must conform to domesticity, as many things said go unaddressed, but Stone discovers there is much more the Doctor isn't telling him when he runs into a program by the name of "Sage". Confused as to what her purpose is, Stone attempts to befriend the program, and Sage begins to express confusion and uncertainty as to why the doctor made her. Stone must force this answer from the doctor, leading to things unsaid finally being revealed.
Will Robotnik's long-held desire to have a family finally come to fruition, or will it be shattered, just as his old Grandfathers had? Are the Robotniks truly destined to be alone?

Summary
“Forgive me, your grace,” his voice choked him as he lowered his head towards Robotnik.
After a near-apocalyptic event spawned from within the kingdom of Greenhills, the young prince, Shadow, having survived the necessary sacrifice to undo Lord Gerald's curse upon the world, comes to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the loyal servant Stone to deliver news of Robotnik's survival, having previously been presumed dead.
It is revealed that Gerald placed a curse upon the alchemist before he lost his life, leading to Stone having to make a decision. One that would later change his relationship with his majesty, Robotnik, forever. -

Stone seemed to get more and more eager with each wire Tails poked at.
“You said there was important information stored in these Badniks… What kind of information? Nothing evil- I hope-“ It had just occurred to Tails he may be assisting in a crime.
Stone chuckled softly, it wasn’t an evil laugh, which brought Tails some relief.
“No no… there’s just some old recordings I’d.. like to have.”Tails decided to take an expedition to the local Junkyard harboring most of Robotnik's failed and destroyed tech in hopes of saving the Wachowskis a trip to an auto shop. Unexpectedly, a familiar face resides in that junkyard, and Tails takes on another task to assist the old frenemy. As the night continues, Stone opens up more and more to the little fox, and Tails does his best to bring some sense of closure to the agent.

Growing tired of the mediocrity within his field and his 'push-over' nature, he simply followed in the direction people would point, eventually leading him to here. The job no one else would take.
Stone accepts a government request to assist someone referred to as a "nut job, he makes the environment around him intolerable to share. He is even greedy with the oxygen in his vicinity. He’s unhinged, deranged, unbalanced, out to lunch- bananas-“.
Despite people's warnings, Stone meets this doctor and finds a disturbing intrigue about him. Especially when he is given his first task: get the doctor a latte with steamed Austrian goat milk.

More enjoyable then sabotaging amateur and professional fireworks displays in July. More scintillating than the success of family reunions ruined on Thanksgiving. This is full on decadence in the misery and resulting chaos unleashed from romance torn asunder.
