Sylvain leaned in. “Oh, Fe, are you telling me you don’t think there’s any overlap with Arts Administration? A potential for skill transference?” Felix turned his head to look at him. Sylvain smiled sweetly—his wavy auburn hair was illuminated by the kitchen light behind, creating a halo effect.

Introducing himself to them went well, until he ran into one gridball player who reminded Jacob of every single one of his childhood bullies. Much to his own surprise, he found himself both infuriated and drawn in by the handsome athlete, who appeared to be battling his own past.

Summary
He hated buses.
Everyone says that ‘hate’ is a strong word, but for Emmett it seemed to suit this situation perfectly. Anyone would share the same sentiment after being in a bus filled exclusively with boys- specifically ones that refuse to invest in some deodorant and for the few that did… their gross overuse of body spray would be enough to knock out a person. Though, it was probably better to get used to this reality sooner rather than later, since he was on a bus headed for the thing he'd been dreading all summer:
