wednesday usually would not worry about Enid not coming directly home to their shared space. There are days when she runs straight to Yoko’s dorm if they make sudden plans, days when time slips away from her while studying in the library, and days where her girlfriend has to stay longer because of her excessive investment in the failing school system and its extracurricular activities.
but it had been an hour since classes let out and Enid had not returned. In fact, Enid hadn’t spoken to her since this morning before class. Enid hadn’t texted her to say she was at Yoko’s or let her know when she was coming back, which was extremely unlike her paramour.
