Summary
Jason had known taking off the helmet back at Titan's Tower was a gamble but he couldn't help it. He wanted to scare Tim even more and what better way to do that then to show him the previous Robin who was very much alive again. Between the scars and menacing look he had on his face, Jason knew he had been pretty successful. That was until he lost control. Lost control so bad that he blacked out in a Pit-fit and the next thing he knew he was starring at a broken Tim Drake. Had he wanted to tear the replacement apart? Of course, but Jason had held himself in check because even if the kid was an alpha, he was still that, a kid.

The Bat family learns Jason Todd is back from the dead in the worst way possible, with him almost killing Tim. Dick Grayson is understandably pissed when he finds out.

Summary
Jason was no stranger to pain. He was subjected to it from the very first memory he ever had. A swinging punch aimed straight to his face before he even knew the words to express the pain it caused. At first he thought it was wrong. Surely pain should not be the default. His body should not always ache and it could not be normal for it to always hurt when he breathed in, but the only times he ever felt a touch coming from someone had always ended with a part of him in pain. There was always a part of his body that hurt so he only felt normal when he was aching. Growing up he thought being in pain was common. The standard bill of health.
