"I need to be assigned a knight. That is the reason I have been lingering. I can not deal with any idiots, and..." Akutagawa paused. "....you seem talented enough when it comes to using your brain to be my side, jinko." Akutagawa coughed into his hand, refusing to even glance at Atsushi.
Atsushi could nearly feel his heart try to fight its way out of his armor. "....You promise? This isn't some kind of joke?" Atsushi asked, stepping just an inch closer to Akutagawa. Akutagawa didn't budge. "Please." Atsushi whispered, observing Akutagawa's face.
Akutagawa sighed, resting his head on his palm. "....I promise. I'm a man of my word, jinko."

A strike against a mysterious duo goes wrong and Atsushi emerges from the fray under the effects of a sleeping curse. One that can only be broken by true love’s kiss. Akutagawa would know this, if he had ever read a fairy tale before. Or listened to his heart.

This couldn’t be just another story about a sleeping princess, this is more like a sleeping beauty’s worst nightmare. Cursed to sleep with the knowledge there’s no one in the world who’d love him enough to break this, Atsushi suffers in silence. All the while his heart is aching for the last person who’d ever love him back.
