    Summary

After a confrontation that turns violent, Robin does what she always does: jokes, deflects, pretends it doesn’t hurt.
But Nancy saw the punch. Nancy heard the words. And she’s done pretending, too.

    Summary

Basically, post-season 5 finale (pre-epilogue) and Nancy leaves for college, focusing on her future, exactly as she has always planned to..

Is she leaving or is she, in Murray’s words retreating?

Meanwhile Robin doesn’t know how to show Nancy she loves her, and she’s spent most of post-season 4 and throughout season 5 and afterwards recording goodbye messages for her on a mixtape. Because if you can’t express how you feel in words, record a mixtape instead.

And Nancy being Nancy … well…

PS - I realise there is a story Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (which is exceptionally well written might I add) and I’ve only just read today quite concerned of some similarities - it’s coincidental. So apologies!

Triggers - Injections, functional alcohol abuse, internal biphobia, homophobia, descriptions of a minor character having a stroke, familial estrangement, PTSD, self harm, disordered eating.

    Summary

Nancy Wheeler survived the apocalypse, got into her dream school, and moved to Boston to start her perfectly planned future. So why does she feel like she's wearing someone else's skin?

It starts small. With a new hairstyle. Then new clothes. And a trip or two to a local gay bar. But every comparison leads back to the same conclusion, the same variable she's been ignoring for months now:

    It's always Robin.

A pre-epilogue Nancy Wheeler character study about queer self-discovery, gender presentation, and falling in love with your best friend. (a.k.a How Nancy got her iconic look in the epilogue)
