This fic was mostly an excuse for me to smush together my three favourite tropes in DC fics — the League discovering yet another one of Bruce Wayne's astonishingly sexy photoshoots and collectively losing their goddamn minds, steamy locker room sex, and Bruce being forced to deal with his crippling fear of intimacy because he's sort of gone and fallen desperately in love with Hal Jordan.
So it's a little cracky, and a little angsty, and a lot smutty, but I think I managed to make it all work. 😌💖

The Grand Regent kidnaps Mark and goes to Earth to uncover the reason for Nohl-ahn’s betrayal.
Mark, still healing from the gut wound which should take months to recover from, decides that a softer approach is needed to win over this mysterious Viltrumite. Although increasingly hopeful that he can win Thragg over, he nonetheless plans for a way to take Thragg down. He’ll use everything he can to try and teach what being human means, even if the closer he gets, the more betraying the man hurts.
Thragg attempts to blend in on Earth and experiences culture shock while Mark discovers he’s not good at staying detached. What will they do when the Coalition arrives?

Summary
Unable to hold himself back from wanting to inflicting violence on others, Mark worries he's changing and not for the better. Colour him surprised when these changes turn out to be a part of being a Viltrumite his father failed to inform him of.
Or: Mark is presenting as an Omega. Thragg takes it upon himself to do what every other Viltrumite before him has failed to do - make Mark join the Empire.

"How long, hypothetical speaking, would it take your kids to realize that you are seeing someone?" Hal asks the first night they end up in bed together. Bruce cracks an eye open, lifts his head, and peers down at Hal, who has made himself comfortable on Bruce's chest. "I mean, they are detectives, and being smart is basically a requirement to be a Bat."
"Hal-" Bruce begins, but Hal cuts him off.
"Like, how long can it take? If they are anything like you, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them has bugged this room and is already listening to us." Hal looks around the room as if he expects one of Bruce's kids to pop out of the dark. Nevermind that they are in Hal's apartment.
"Do not get me wrong, I love anything Spooky," Hal flashes him a grin as if to make sure Bruce gets the joke," but your kids are terrifying."
Bruce drops his head back onto his pillow. "Hal, can we please stop discussing my children."
