“What’s the secret ingredient, Scar?” Grian finally asked, rolling his eyes and smiling.
With a dramatic flourish and definitely some glitter that he got from somewhere- (What was with his friends and glitter??) Scar waved a hand and helpfully declared,
“Magic!” And he really did look so excited to share this with Grian, a sparkle in his eye (and really, all around him- seriously, what's with the glitter????)
Grian couldn’t help it. He snorted.
“Alright then, keep your secrets, Scar.” He snarked, pushing away from the table and putting his now empty mug into the sink for washing. “I appreciate the coffee though!”

Summary
Being the younger child, he had always known he wasn’t anywhere near as important as the crown prince, and that had, to some extent, been something he was grateful for, as much as it broke his heart to see the way they worked Technoblade to the bone. At least, when all was said and done, he wasn’t the one bearing the weight of their legacy on his shoulders, he wasn’t the one who would have to rule one day. There were advantages to being the youngest.
But here, apparently, was the f*cking massive downside. Being traded away like a pawn, given as a ‘guarantee’ in a peace treaty, as though he didn’t even matter. Tommy supposed that, deep down, he had always known he didn’t.
____________________Prince Tommy is traded away to King Philza as part of a peace treaty. He is certain he will be treated as a prisoner - a servant at best, a punching bag at worst. He just hopes Technoblade will find a way to forget all about him, the last thing he wants is for his older brother to feel guilty for being unable to keep him safe.
Philza just wants to protect a child from parents so uncaring that they would trade him away.Or, a tasty blend of foster and royalty au tropes XD

Summary
He looks up a little bit later upon seeing some movement and his eyes widen a little when he sees Scar and someone he doesn’t recognize making their way towards him and Grian. Grian is still talking, so Jimmy takes it upon himself to greet them with a rather loud “Scar!”
Grian jolts, quickly turning around and seeing Scar. Scar grins at him, something soft. Jimmy looks away, focusing instead on the person he doesn’t recognize. He’s shorter than Scar, with blond hair tied up into a bun and wearing a red hoodie.
“Mind if we sit here?” Scar asks. The words are barely out of his mouth before Grian is nodding, moving some of his stuff out of the way. Jimmy takes his lead and does the same. Scar plops into the seat next to Grian, turning to him immediately, leaving the other guy to sit next to Jimmy.

This is nice. Grian never wants to leave, he decides. Maybe he’ll retire and get a job here just so he can drink coffee and play with his cats for the rest of his life.
Or—maybe not. Freedom or relaxation has never really been in the cards for him. Temporarily, yeah, but not forever. Sooner or later Grian will pay, walk out, and return to the life that was decided for him from the moment he was born.
Scar seems to have noticed something, as he pulls his attention away from the cats and places a hand onto Grian’s shoulder. “You alright? You’re spacing out and Jellie is biting at your hand.”
He gently pulls away from her and turns to Scar. “Yeah, sorry, just realized it’s getting close to my bedtime.”
Or: Grian is a Watcher who randomly decides one day to walk into Scar’s cafe.
