Summary
Hyunjin closes his eyes and focuses on the feeling of Jeongin’s hand in his hair. This isn’t worth the energy. They’ll never agree. Jeongin could never understand. “Sorry,” Hyunjin whispers. “I don’t think it’s right, either. I don’t think anyone deserves to be ostracized for something out of their control. Or at all. It just feels hopeless.”
“I know.” Jeongin scratches behind Hyunjin’s ear. “I didn’t think any differently, but it’s good to know for sure.” Jeongin continues to pet Hyunjin’s hair and caress his shoulder. “We don’t have to have this conversation again."
Thank fucking god. “Good,” is all Hyunjin finds the words to say.

He and Jeongin weren’t dating, but he still wanted him to experience the magic of Valentine's Day. He vowed to give him the best one ever.

Summary
Hyunjin hadn’t thought of Jeongin going through his last year of high school alone, sleeping through math class, ditching gym lest he injure himself, suffering through projects without a partner.
Aching at night. Curling in on himself in the sheets he’d once shared with Hyunjin and crying, unable to help himself.
But Jeongin asks Hyunjin, right there in his cinderblock office, “Do you wanna pretend for the weekend? Through Christmas?”
Hyunjin and Jeongin call it even, call each other babe for Christmas weekend.

Summary
“I’m an academic,” he explains, and doesn’t take a step back, doesn’t seem to mind Hyunjin in his personal space. “We visit libraries fairly often, didn’t you know? I assume you two also like reading, to be in a library.”
“I’m running a summer art camp,” Hyunjin explains, then jerks his head over to Jeongin. “Innie wears glasses, so. You can imagine.”
It looks like he’s trying to suppress a smile. “Ah,” he says, looking at Jeongin again. “Yes, you must be quite well-read, to… wear glasses. What’s your favorite book?”
Jeongin hasn’t read a book in several years, and he completely and absolutely blanks. What’s something sexy he can say? What’s a sexy book? “Moby Dick,” he decides, because—it has the work dick in it. It’s gotta be something freaky. Does the whale fuck, or something…?
Or: Hyunjin and Jeongin stumble into a sexy academic in the library. Good thing Seungmin has a thing for absolute fucking morons.

“How long are you sticking around?”
“At least a month.”
Jeongin’s brows creep up toward his hairline. “Right,” he says eventually. “Um.” He massages at his closed eyelids, like Hyunjin is giving him a migraine. “You still know your way around, right? Like, do you need a tour of where the bathroom is? Laundry? Linen closet?”
Hyunjin’s lip curls, halfway to a snarl. “I think I’ll manage.”
—

Summary
“Does Hyunjin dislike me?” Minho drops the juice box he was holding, quickly turning to stare at Jeongin, as though he’d just said something earth shattering. It’s strange to be looked at like you’ve just accused someone of a crime, but there it was- written all over Minho’s face.
“In what world would- Hwang Hyunjin ever dislike you? That boy holds zero ability to dislike anyone”
Or
Jeongin finds out that Hyunjin in fact does not hate him.
