Summary
When Luo Binghe is thirteen, she first notices someone stalking her.
Once, her school ID goes missing, though she’d found the rest of her wallet intact. Then, a handkerchief she’d had sticking out of her bag disappears without a trace. Once she even finds that one of her pens was slipped out of the side pocket of her schoolbag, and it was one of her favourites too.
The very first thing she ever finds added rather than taken is a note that was tucked into her schoolbag while on the subway, with so many people stuffed in around her that she couldn’t tell who put it there. The paper was simple stationary that would be found in an office, written in clean handwriting:
Hi, Binghe. You look very cute today. Is your favourite colour green? You always wear a green hair tie. Thank you for the pen, it writes very smoothly. I’ll return it someday soon, I promise.
Or, Luo Binghe is on the receiving end of an obsessive love. After fear, all she feels is excitement.

Shen Qingiu’s large hand cups the back of his head, stroking his hair. “Mm. Very well made.” Then he gently tugs at a fistful of hair to make Luo Binghe look up. Shen Qingqiu’s expression makes Luo Binghe’s entire body feel tingly and warm. The intensity in that look… It’s almost enough to pretend as if Shen Qingqiu wants him in the way Luo Binghe wants him in turn. “What a pretty, perfect doll.”
When Shen Qingqiu returns to the bamboo house after being away for a night hunt, he's acting... strangely.

Summary
The Veiled Soul-Seer was known for being able to grant a person's deepest desire. Luo Binghe went to her with the expectation that she'd deliver the kind, sweet Shizun he'd seen in the other world (the one married to that weak, unworthy version of himself). That was, after all, what Luo Binghe wanted most.
So why did he wake up to find himself back in his fourteen-year old body, in the woodshed, as a disciple on Qing Jing Peak?
Now his empire is gone, as is his harem, cultivation, and physical strength. He'll have to rebuild it all from scratch, and while knowing the future should speed things up significantly, acting like an innocent human child after hundreds of years of being an all-powerful demon emperor might be more difficult than he'd anticipated…

The hate had come afterwards, when he realized how he had let this petty tyrant turn him into a sniffling nothing that took a whipping and said thank you and went to chop wood afterwards like a lunatic.
Well, who was the lunatic in the end, Shen Qingqiu?
But he wished it wasn’t this face. Cold and beautiful and fine as porcelain. This face stirred up so much confusion. Because he had more recently seen this face differently. Seen it open and alive and filled with care and concern, had seen this face looking at that pathetic parallel of himself with such love and devotion. He wanted it, he wanted it so much he had ended up here. Again.
