Meanwhile the Mafia is frantic trying to dispute the fact that their 2 most treasured remembers have disappeared, or in Mori's case, defected.

(I'm a native English speaker, be warned.)

Notes:

Chapter 1: The Lost Teens

Chapter Text

One.

♪‣High School Sweethearts•♪

. Aizawa

It was a classic patrol. Dark night, only illuminated by the bright full moon, encounters with drugs, assault, robbery, and interestingly enough an idiotic villain discussing his tax evasion and embezzlement on speaker phone. Nothing compared to the scene Aizawa was staring at currently from the shadows of an abandoned apartment complex in Kanagawa.

Two teens by the look of them. One with bright ginger hair that shone even in the darkness of the night, and another one with darker hair. Both wearing dark clothing of a formal nature. Odd, for teenagers, usually whom you must force into anything resembling a suit, but these two seem almost at ease when wearing it. Moving naturally as if they’ve worn them for years.

This wasn’t the only odd thing about the two boys. They were scoping out their surroundings with eyes he’d only ever seen in hardened criminals or experienced pros. They were nervous for sure, but confident, new to the area. Despite their stalking of their surroundings, they gaze around with wonder, almost, in their eyes. As if they’ve never seen anything like it before.

Their words were what worried Aizawa the most though.

“Bastard-! Move faster before they catch us!” Teenage Runaways?

“But chibi! They wouldn't follow us this far! Also, my leg hurts~! Carry me!” the brunette whined.

The two boys had an accent. An intonation on certain words, the way they pronounced their 'a'. It was more obvious in the ginger than in the brunette but they both had it. Now Aizawa isn't a dialectologist, but he was pretty sure the dialect was not from the area. Further proving Aizawa's theory of the teens not being from the region.

“You... You were the one who stood there like an idiot and let him shoot you!”

It seems as if these kids were caught up in something deeper than just a simple runaway, or out after curfew. Shooting… The boy had a gunshot wound and was walking around. Aizawa could only imagine the pain, and if he was willing to go this far just to escape wherever they came from... He doesn’t want to imagine what kind of environment it was.

“Fine! I’ll carry your injured ass! But only because this is our only chance for a vacation!”

‘Chibi’ then proceeded to throw the brunette onto his back and swing his arms around his thighs, seemingly careful of the bullet wound in the unidentified area of his leg. The brunette quickly wrapped his arms around the shorter and nuzzled his face into the other’s neck with a dreamy smile on his face. “Thank you, my darling dog~”

“I’m not your damn dog!”

Despite the exclamation, the ginger still carried the other boy on his back, walking determinedly to his destination. These boys cared for each other, undoubtedly.

The two boys not-so-quietly trudged on their path, bickering and arguing like an old married couple, like Bakugo and Midoriya, Aizawa's mind corrected. All this came to an end when a sharp ring rang out in the quiet night. Both boys disposition immediately darkened. The cheerful and hopeful aura around the teens vanished, as if it were never there. Frowns deeper than any child should have on their face appeared and they met eyes over the ginger’s shoulder.

The boy who was currently acting as a carriage raises his eyebrows towards the brunette, who simply sighs as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders and digs around in his jacket pocket. Retrieving from it is a buzzing and ringing phone. The eavesdropping pro-hero raised an eyebrow at the boy’s ringtone. The boys stared at the phone for a few moments before a slim finger slid across the device picking up the call.

Information to gained, the thought popped into his head and Aizawa listened in.

“What do you want Mori?”

Aizawa files the name away for later. He'd have the police investigate, just in case this "Mori" is a person of interest.

“Sue us, if we wanted a little vacation after what you did to us Mori.” The brunette had a blank face. Almost as if every emotion was wiped from his body. His eyes were like black holes, light seemingly disappearing in the pupils of his eyes. Aizawa shivers, feeling cold gazing at the brunette’s eyes. He never knew children could have a gaze as dark as the cold expanse of space.

‘What he did to them?’ The pro-hero shuffled closer to the children to get a better listen, and hopefully even get lucky and hear something on the other side of the phone call.

“Oi, let me listen too!” Score. The brunette clicked a button the phone and this ‘Mori’s’’ voice rang out.

“--it was simply a little punishment for failing your mission Osamu… You must understand.”

Punishment? Entailing what?

“Yeah sure, the mission you gave us that was set up for us to fail. I know your tricks Mori; it seemed you were missing me on your hospital bed.”

At this point, Aizawa's concern quadrupled. What had these teens gotten themselves into? The conversation just sealed his determination to bring them in and help them.

But first, the teens had to get off the phone with this Mori.

“Oh, but Dazai, if you had planned enough and foresaw what would’ve happened then you wouldn’t have gotten you, and subsequently your partner, that I know is listening, into trouble.” Mori said with a dark chuckle. The boy’s hands tightened around the phone.

“If you had simply killed everyone instead of accidentally missing the one hiding them everything would’ve turned out fine!”

“But! What’s done is done,” he paused, and Aizawa could almost see the dark look on the villainous man’s face, “Come back to the Port, Dazai and Chuuya, if you think this was bad then you wouldn’t like to experience what I have in store if you stay away.”

Silence enveloped both sides of the conversation. That is until–

“—Elise don’t worry my darling! I’ll get you cake I swear—”

And with that, the call ended with a click. Aizawa had to sit and process what he'd had just heard. Dazai and Chuuya, that must be their names. It suits them somehow, somehow their named matched together, like a puzzle—

— Like two souls—

That unfortunately was not the important part nor the issue. Killing? Killed? These two boys who looked no older than 14 were murderers. He had no evidence besides the phone call, but it was enough. The fact that neither denied what was said was enough.

Don’t worry you’ll get your evidence.

It was a feeling he had, that he’d see his evidence soon enough, and just so, a drunk man stumbles up to the two boys.

Aizawa's eyes narrowed. He'd seen that man somewhere before.

“What are you little boys doing out so late? Don’t you know people like me wander around these parts?”

The boys exchanged confused looks. “Who... are you… exactly?”

That enraged the man, he threw the bottle he had clenched in his hand towards the boys, although they dodged. The bottle shatters against the road, spilling the cheap alcohol everywhere, splashing the hems of Chuuya’s pants. “Tch!” The ginger looked upset now.

The assault was accompanied by a shout, “Who am I?! I am the NOTORIOUS villain, Fast Forks!” He splayed his hands out fingers first and shot sporks put of his fingertips. The sporks lost velocity and landed a couple feet from the boys with a small clatter. The confused boys didn’t even have to dodge.

An awkward silence.

That's where Aizawa recognizes him from, a lucky upstart villain that managed to get away from the police and made it onto the news.

If he had to guess, he got cocky and decided to celebrate himself, with a couple of bottles of alcohol.

The silence abruptly cut off when Dazai, currently resting on top the smaller opens his mouth and let out a peal of laughter, that kept going on and on, and soon the ginger carrying him also joins in.

“F-fast f-forks?!” he gasped, “What kind of n-name is that?!” the brunette managed to say between his laughter.

“Shouldn’t it b-be ‘Slow Sporks’?” The ginger tacked on, “Those were sporks, and they were so slow even this dumbass could dodge them on my back!”

“We-we didn’t even have to dodge!”

The teens continued laughing until the drunk villain seemingly had enough and attacked, closing the distance with once more throwing his hands out nails first and shooting sporks at them.

Before Aizawa could even make to jump down and rescue them, the ginger boy quickly, with the other teen still on his back, dodged, swinging his body to the right, his hair blowing out of the ponytail it was in previously. Ginger locks flow down the front of his face

Chuuya quickly then stepped up, closing the distance and raised his leg, striking down onto the villain’s head with an axe kick, ruthlessly. Aizawa swore he heard something crack as the ginger’s foot connected with the skull of the villain. The disillusioned villain immediately tumbled to the floor face first with a loud smack.

Chuuya blew hair out of his eyes with a puff of air, placing down his lifted leg.

As the injured man fell to the ground, the brunette boy pulled something out of his jacket once more, this time it was not something as harmless as a phone. It took a moment to recognize the black object in his hand, since unless you were a police-officer, it was uncommon to see them, but yes. It was a gun. How had this boy gotten a hold of it?

Was it Mori? Wrong crowd? More importantly,

What was he going to do with it?  Incapacitate the villain? Kill him?

Once more Aizawa was too slow to step in and a gunshot rang out in the night. Blood splattered on both boys, smoke pouring from the muzzle of the gun. A clean hole, straight through the centre of the now dead villain’s head. Too easy, too unconcerned. These boys had seen death and contributed to it before. It was different from just hearing it, seeing it, seeing these two young souls steeped in darkness and so content within it was different.

“What a boring fight. You didn’t even need me Mackerel.”

“True, are these the kinds of villains around? How plebian.”

It was frightening. The nonchalance, the apathy towards the death that occurred in front their eyes. It screams of experience, of expertise. The big question is, how did they gain it?

No longer was there any excuse for not bringing these two into custody. As a pro-hero it was his duty. Aizawa quickly, shot his capture weapon at the leg of the ginger, tugging as soon as it wrapped around the ankle of the boy. The boy tried to balance himself after the tug but his foot shifts, stepping into the spilled alcohol. “Fuck-!”  He slips backwards, destabilized by both Aizawa’s effort and the unexpected efforts of the alcoholic drink splattered across the road. Both teens fall with a shout, their heads whipping around.

“Damn-! We were distracted by this small fry!”

The brunette on the other hand simply smiles, “Chuuya,” is all he says.

Chuuya’s face smoothened out, the anger and disappointment disappeared from his façade. His name seemed to have sent a message, no matter, he needs to bring them in, the secrets that message seemed to send can be unravelled later. With Chuuya most compliant, Aizawa wraps his capture weapon around both boys and held it tightly, ensuring they would not escape while he approaches. Stepping out of the shadows, the pro jumped down to the street where the two boys were wrapped up on the asphalt. Jogging over he pulled out a set of quirk cancelling cuffs, despite the two youths not using their quirks, and slapped it onto the two teenagers.

He noticed that the taller teen was covered in bandages from his neck to his arms, over one eye, and Aizawa imagined he had more underneath his clothes, his concern doubled once more.

The ginger had, startlingly, heterochromia, with one electric blue eye that almost seemed to glow, and one pale grey eye, it interested me, he’d never seen such eyes outside Todoroki’s before.

He wore a black choker and black gloves, while both their outfits seemed expensive. Aizawa wondered where they got the money for it.

“You two are coming with me.” Aizawa grunted.

“No problem, Mr. Erasure-head!” the brunette chipped with a large toothy smile and a sparkle in his eye.

The brunette knew him. Aizawa’s skull throbbed. He just know they’re going to be problem children.
