Chapter Text
“There’s some rice–” a thumb swiped at Donghyuck’s bottom lip. It lingered, the pad of the thumb gentle when it brushed his skin. Donghyuck allowed his lips to part underneath the touch, just slightly, so that the thumb could slip through his lips, hook behind his teeth and tug.
Donghyuck leaned in, a dog on a leash, pliant. Like melted wax. He peered through his lashes to look at the man across from him. Jaemin’s enigmatic gaze was focused on Donghyuck’s lips. It trailed up to his face, settled on his eyes. Time halted, the two of them staring at each other, and then Jaemin’s pointer finger was under Donghyuck’s chin, tilting it up. Jaemin leaned in, closing the distance between them, his breath hot, humid. It smelled of citrus and mint. As he inched nearer, Donghyuck’s shoulders tensed.
“CUT!”
The hand on Donghyuck’s face jerked back. Jaemin stood, rubbed his hand on his pants like it was dirty. In response, Donghyuck wiped at his mouth. The ghost of Jaemin’s touch tingled in its absence.
“What is it this time?” Jaemin asked. His tone was flat, a front to mask his displeasure. He loved doing that, and Donghyuck loved hating it.
Donghyuck would have made his own snarky comment if he wasn’t also annoyed. They’d already done seven takes for such a simple scene, and Donghyuck was sick of rice being methodically positioned on his lips.
“It’s all wrong!” Mark exclaimed. He jumped up from the director’s chair to pace. They were filming in an upscale office with glass furniture, adorned with grand windows that overlooked the city below. Donghyuck and Jaemin were positioned on either side of a desk covered in office supplies. As Mark paced, he would stop short of where they sat before walking back to his chair, and then back to them again, back to the chair.
“Do we need to go again?” Donghyuck suggested. Mark’s pacing made him motion sick, or maybe it was just the aftermath of almost kissing Na Jaemin. No way to be sure. “We can try one more time?”
Off to the side of the set, outside the camera’s view, one of Donghyuck’s makeup artists prepared, a bowl of rice in her hands.
“No, no more takes for now.” Mark waved a hand. “I’m just–honestly, I’m not feeling the passion from you two. I mean, your early scenes were perfect. You both played the antagonism between Haechan and Jae perfectly, but now that the dynamic is shifting…” Mark trailed off, shaking his head.
Haechan–the character Donghyuck was cast for, was a burnt-out nine-to-five worker who wants nothing more than to pursue his true passion in art. He spends all day in the office and all night painting, rinse and repeat. Donghyuck, having only recently quit his full-time retail job in order to pursue acting full time, could relate to Haechan on some level, which made him an easy role to fall into.
On the other hand, Jaemin’s character, Jae, was the enticing and mysterious co-worker of Haechan. But after Haechan peels back Jae’s layers, he’s predictably just a softie with a hard shell.
The characters of Haechan and Jae don’t get along, but when Jae starts to take an interest in Haechan, the two enter a heated, forbidden office relationship.
As far as Boys Love dramas go, the story is underwhelming.
“It’s up to you two to bring these characters to life,” Mark had explained the first day of filming. “We don’t need a flashy mafia plot if we have two leads who exude chemistry!”
Unfortunately, though, unlike their counterparts Haechan and Jae, real-life Donghyuck and Jaemin were having a difficult time moving past their differences.
“What can we do to make the dynamic better?” Donghyuck asked, crossing his arms.
Jaemin muttered something under his breath. Donghyuck couldn’t hear the full thing, but he caught the words “terrible actor” and he knew that it was about him.
“The fuck did you just say?” Donghyuck quipped. He knew as soon as the words left his mouth that he was going to regret them later. It was only twelve hours since he promised Jisung that he would try to get along better with his co-star, but Jaemin had a way of riling him up like no one else.
Jaemin smiled, pearly white teeth on display. Donghyuck knew then that he'd fallen right into Jaemin's trap. “You see this, Director Lee? Maybe you can sympathize with the difficulty of displaying passion under these circumstances.”
“You’re an actor, dude,” Donghyuck scoffed. “So act.”
Jaemin's smile didn't falter as he spoke. “I could say the same to you, though I’m not positive if ‘actor’ is fitting–”
“Both of you, knock it off!” Mark scolded. Jaemin’s mouth snapped shut mid-sentence, while Donghyuck clenched his fists. It took all his will to keep them at his side and away from Jaemin’s face that he so dearly wanted to punch.
His mind flashed with scenes of an action movie Jaemin starred in, one that Donghyuck saw years earlier in the theatre. Jaemin’s makeup artist had done well, vibrant purple and yellow bruises marking his pretty face. Donghyuck wondered what it would look like when it’s not just makeup, wondered how it would feel to be the cause of bruises on Jaemin–not a black eye, or even a scrape on the cheek. Perhaps a handprint on his neck? It filled Donghyuck with a sick satisfaction, so he pushed it out of his head before he dwelled too long.
Jaemin took a deep breath. “Sorry,” he said. It wasn’t directed at Donghyuck, but instead at Mark. “That was unbecoming of me.”
Bullshit, Donghyuck thought, but that time he had the diligence to keep his mouth shut.
“I wanted two of you on this project because you’re both incredibly talented,” Mark told them. “And on top of that, fans are stoked to see the two of you together, but if you guys can’t maintain professionalism–”
“We can!” Donghyuck blurted out. Mark raised an eyebrow, challenging. Donghyuck coughed, looking over to Jaemin. “I mean, we can. Right?”
Jaemin didn’t meet his gaze. He directed his next words to Mark yet again. “You’re absolutely right, Director Lee. I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
“It better not.”
“Thank you for the second chance.” Jaemin’s voice was so sickly sweet that Donghyuck wanted to hurl.
“I think we should call it for today.” Mark sighed, then surveyed the crew of at least two dozen people. “You guys are all good to go! Chenle, can you send takes two and four over to the editor? I think we’ll have to settle for one of those.”
Slowly, people filed out of the set room. Jaemin grabbed his satchel, slinging it over his shoulder and leaving without a glance back. Not that Donghyuck was watching to see if he would. Of course he wasn’t. He just happened to notice that Jaemin didn’t hesitate at all.
Donghyuck tried to leave after, but Mark put a hand on his shoulder to stop him. When he spun on his heel to see what Mark needed, he was being beckoned to stay. Donghyuck’s shoulders sagged.
Within a minute, the room was empty. One last person came back to grab their forgotten coffee, bowed, and exited once more. That left Mark and Donghyuck alone.
“You need me?” Donghyuck asked. He felt sheepish, the regret he’d been waiting for since his outburst finally making a home in his chest. The fact that it happened in front of the staff as well as in front of Jaemin was embarrassing. And since Jaemin had whispered his insults, it was Donghyuck that looked like the bad guy, as always.
“Hyuck…” Mark began, trailing off, and the nickname allowed for another level of regret. It was a reminder to Donghyuck that he was not just letting down his co-workers, but a friend as well.
“I know,” Donghyuck replied, already prepared for a lecture.
Still, Mark delivered it. “This could be your big break. You know to take this more seriously than whatever that was back there.”
Donghyuck winced. “I’m sorry.”
“I mean, really, fighting with your co-lead in front of the entire crew? We have the dinner coming up next week, and then you two start promotions. How do I know you won’t start something in public?”
A jolt of anger reignited in Donghyuck’s chest. “I wouldn’t. But Jaemin is-”
“An A-list actor with lots of experience,” Mark cut him off, eyebrows furrowed. Donghyuck felt the fire dwell inside him, replaced with an irate simmer. “For the life of me, I will never understand what the two of you have against each other, but it needs to end. Or, at the very least, it needs to stay out of the workplace.”
Donghyuck nodded, defeated. He wanted to defend himself, but he knew it was pointless. Without Jaemin in the room, he wasn’t on edge enough to ignore how correct Mark was.
“I got it.”
“I put a lot of faith into you,” Mark continued. “I’ve been accused of only hiring you because we’re old schoolmates-”
“That’s not true, though!” Donghyuck exclaimed. “I auditioned fair and square.”
“I know that,” Mark assured. “And so does the casting director, and our crew, and everyone who really matters. But if you look like you’ve sucked on a lemon every time Jaemin tries to kiss you, I can’t control how others think.”
“Right,” Donghyuck agreed hollowly. It hurt a little that he was the one being talked to and not Jaemin. But he knew it mostly fell on him, even if Jaemin was an instigator in his own way. At least Mark had the decency to not solely blame Donghyuck in front of everyone else.
“Pretend he’s the sexiest man you’ve ever seen or something, anything. You just need to act like you want him.”
“Alright.” Donghyuck didn’t want to mention that he considered Jaemin plenty good-looking, it was just his personality that was the problem. He didn’t think Mark would appreciate that.
Mark smiled, clapping a hand on Donghyuck’s shoulder hard enough that Donghyuck almost lost his footing. “Okay, right. Good talk, dude. Is there anything you need from me while we’re here?”
Donghyuck shook his head, keeping himself balanced upright. “I really am sorry,” he said again. Mark just shrugged. He didn’t say it was okay, but he also didn’t seem mad. Donghyuck counted his blessings.
“So tomorrow, we’re gonna be starting from page thirty-seven. Make sure you’re prepared.”
“Page thirty-seven, yea,” Donghyuck repeated, mind wandering. He could see the script in his mind, flashes of the pages. “Wait, isn’t that the first sex sce-”
But before Donghyuck could finish the question, Mark was already out of the room, as if he anticipated what Donghyuck’s reaction would be.
…
“So basically, today we were at each other’s throats, and tomorrow I have to be at his throat literally, like, with my mouth,” Donghyuck groaned, putting his head into his hands.
“You do realize that I’m your intimacy coordinator, not your therapist, yes?” Renjun asked.
“Exactly, so how do I ‘coordinate intimacy’ with a guy who hates my guts?”
Donghyuck couldn’t get the talk with Mark off his mind, which led to him calling Renjun. He was at Renjun’s office, sat across from him in a comfy leather chair while Renjun listened, his hands folded in his lap and nodding along to Donghyuck’s woeful tales of co-worker rivalry. It felt very much like a therapy session, but Donghyuck decided it was better not to point that out.
It wasn’t Donghyuck’s first time working with Renjun. He’d been Donghyuck’s intimacy coordinator for his first role in a different show, one that flopped pretty bad, but Renjun had still helped Donghyuck a lot back then. Donghyuck had a lot of first-time nerves, and Renjun advocated for the director going slow with the filming and doing check-ups to make sure he was okay.
His current project was different, though. During the last filming, he only had to make out with his co-star, and then the sex was entirely fade-to-black. He didn’t even have to take his shirt off. The drama he was doing with Jaemin was based on a book–a book classified as erotica, according to the author’s official website. And one look through the script confirmed that the show was to be faithful to its source material, with a well-earned mature rating.
Renjun hummed thoughtfully. “Why do you two hate each other so much again?”
“‘Cause he’s a dick,” Donghyuck responded immediately. When Renjun looked entirely unimpressed, he continued. “Well, the first time I met him, he thought I was some errand boy or something.”
Donghyuck remembered it like it was yesterday, even though it’d happened over two years in the past. He was attending an awards show, invited by Mark as a guest. By that point, he’d only acted in a singular small indie film. The suit he wore was rented, and the tie was a cheap wrinkled thing, but he’d felt on top of the world. Being at a large-scale acting awards show was a dream come true.
He’d known who Jaemin was, of course he did. Back then, Jaemin was rapidly rising to stardom. At the time of their first meeting, he’d been standing in one of the hallways, talking with a couple other semi-famous actors that Donghyuck recognized. He wore a burgundy suit that matched his eyeshadow and his hair was done up in a style that was somehow professional yet also just-got-out-of-bed sexy. Jaemin had looked good, incredibly so. Donghyuck was a bit of a fan back then. He’d watched two of Jaemin’s dramas, and even watched one of Jaemin’s interviews when it was recommended to him on YouTube. Donghyuck thought Jaemin seemed like a cool guy, but he should have known that the charming personality was all for the cameras.
Jaemin had greeted him with an “Oh, hey” when Donghyuck passed by, and his heart had fluttered. He couldn’t believe Jaemin was talking to him, of all people. Was it possible that Jaemin had seen the small film he was in? Or just noticed him and thought he looked like an interesting person to talk to?
But Donghyuck’s excitement disintegrated when Jaemin followed up with a request for Donghyuck to go across the street and buy him a coffee.
“--With two extra shots of espresso, and only one pump of caramel,” Donghyuck finished the story in a mock of Jaemin’s voice, using his hand to mimic talking. “And I told him–’dude, I don’t even work here’, and he just said “oh.” He didn’t even apologize or anything!”
Renjun was quiet throughout the whole story, but spoke once it was over. “I think it’s kind of concerning–”
“That he gets two extra shots of espresso in his coffee!? Yea, me too. That’s fucking weird, man. Who even does that?”
“Actually, I was going to say it’s concerning that you remember his exact coffee order,” Renjun remarked. “Besides, don't you think that him asking you for a coffee could be, I don’t know, just a misunderstanding?”
“No, not a misunderstanding,” Donghyuck groaned. “And I only remember the order because he asked me to get him coffee three times. On three separate occasions!”
The second time was at a dinner for upcoming artists and actors. The event was invite only. Donghyuck had acted in a few things at that point, and while none of it had skyrocketed him into fame, he’d begun to carve a niche place for himself in the BL scene. When he saw Jaemin, he approached him cordially despite the sting of their last encounter at the forefront of Donghyuck’s mind.
Jaemin asked him for a coffee again, mistaking him for the waiter. Donghyuck had walked off, muttering curses under his breath the entire time.
The third and final time it happened was at a birthday party for Jeno. Donghyuck hadn’t known Jeno well by that point, but they had some schedules together, so Donghyuck was extended an invitation.
That time, when Jaemin mentioned coffee, Donghyuck knew he had to be taking the shit, because who asked for a coffee at a birthday party? Donghyuck was a little tipsy, he had to admit. He’d taken full advantage of the complementary cocktail bar at the party, and was on his fourth drink when Jaemin had approached him.
He didn’t even let Jaemin finish his sentence. All he heard was ‘coffee’ and he was pouring his strawberry daiquiri all down Jaemin’s white button up. He never regretted it though, not even when he had to pay a hefty dry-cleaning bill the next month. The look on Jaemin’s face when he’d done it was all-too-satisfying.
He left that part out of his retelling to Renjun, because he knew it made him look bad. Besides, it had been in a couple magazines and was gossipped about by almost everyone who attended Jeno’s party, so he probably already knew.
“Wow, okay. I guess I would be pissed if I were you,” Renjun conceded.
“Yea, and it’s been even worse since we started working together.”
The very first day of filming, Jaemin had barely glanced at Donghyuck before doubling back and saying, “Oh, shit, you? Didn’t know Mark hired people so unprofessional.” Then, he mumbled something about how he should have worn a black shirt.
Donghyuck tried his best to keep himself in check, but the animosity between the two of them was too hard to ignore. Everything Jaemin did just pissed him off, and Jaemin clearly didn’t like Donghyuck at all. It made the whole thing a disaster.
“So, what does this mean? Are you not comfortable filming with him? Because if that’s the case, it’s definitely something we need to discuss.”
“No, no,” Donghyuck protested. “If I back out over something like that, what kind of actor am I?”
“One who is capable of forming and setting his own boundaries,” Renjun responded firmly. Donghyuck kind of wanted to laugh, but he thought that might piss Renjun off, and he didn’t really want to piss anyone else off after the fiasco at work.
Donghyuck shook his head. “I can do it. I mean, I can handle it. Um, what’s the scene I have to film tomorrow again?”
“You said page thirty-seven, right?” Renjun flipped through a copy of the script. When he got to the right page, he stopped, looking over the text with little interest. “It starts with you and Jaemin in the bedroom of your character’s apartment. You’ll both be in a t-shirt and underwear. You kiss, and then Jaemin will lead you to your character’s bed.”
The thought of kissing Jaemin gave Donghyuck both nausea and goosebumps. It left him prickly all over. His own reaction made him mad, because he was an actor, god damn it! He’d kissed plenty of people for a script before, but there was something about filming with Jaemin that just made him so anxious. Like the few seconds before the drop of a rollercoaster, suspended in the air and knowing what awaited. The script was as predictable and unchanging as the tracks, but not knowing how you were going to feel along the ride was terrifying.
“Is that all?” Donghyuck hoped that was the case but knew it likely wasn’t. He remembered the part of the script that Rejun was referencing, and what came next, yet that didn’t make Renjun’s next words easier to stomach.
“Er, no,” Renjun continued. “After you’re led to the bed, you guys continue to kiss, take each other’s shirts off, and then there is a simulated blowjob with your character on the receiving end.”
Every time Donghyuck thought about filming those scenes, it felt so far off, like it was never actually going to happen if Donghyuck didn’t allow his thoughts to reside on it. So he always ignored it like an idiot, until it was staring him in the face. He would have to film it tomorrow.
“Okay,” Donghyuck said, his mind in a far away place… “I can handle that. No problem at all.”
“If you want, we can work on establishing some boundaries,” Renjun offered.
“Like when I would want you guys to stop filming?” Donghyuck asked, because that was what Renjun and he mainly discussed for Donghyuck’s first project they worked together on.
“You know we stop filming at any time you call it,” Renjun said. “But since this show has some…racier scenes, for lack of a better term, it’s important that we discuss limitations.”
Donghyuck leaned back in his chair slightly to feign a casual demeanor, despite his nerves.
“Such as?”
Renjun cleared his throat. “For starters, are there any areas on your body you’d prefer if your co-lead didn’t touch? Obviously, genital contact would only occur through clothes as directed in the script.” he marked a few spots on the pages with a pen. “Most will be implied by camera angles and using the bed sheets as cover. But you already know that.”
Renjun talked about sex scenes the way that most people discussed the weather. Donghyuck thought he became used to it after the last time they worked together, but it was still just as jarring. In another way, it was comforting. He knew he could be open with Renjun and that there was no judgement.
Hah, he really was like a therapist, after all.
Donghyuck looked over the page with Renjun, his thoughts racing. There were parts where Jaemin was supposed to touch his chest, his waist, and his thighs. He scrunched his nose, trying to imagine that happening. The images in his mind twisted into mush every time, but he wasn’t particularly against any of those places being touched.
“So, what boundaries did Jaemin give you?” Donghyuck asked, unable to come up with his own.
Renjun paused. “Well, none that pertain to you.”
Which made sense. Jaemin was a seasoned actor. He’d filmed dozens of sex scenes before, with dozens of other men, and even some women. That knowledge stirred in Donghyuck’s intestines, twisting them up. Jaemin was better at this than Donghyuck was. Their experience gap was huge. Donghyuck was nothing more than a child desperate to play with the big kids.
“I don’t want any, then,” Donghyuck decided.
Renjun sighed. “Having less boundaries is not a good thing, or something you should strive for. Establishing your limits is what helps you build your acting career while still maintaining your integrity.”
“Isn’t it up to me?” Donghyuck asked. “You’re here to assist me, and I’m saying I have no boundaries.”
Renjun rubbed his thumbs on his temples like he had a headache. “You are so damn stubborn, you know that?”
Donghyuck shrugged. “Perhaps.”
…
The next day came too quickly. Donghyuck spent the evening before reading and re-reading pages thirty-seven to forty-four of his script until they were etched into his brain. When sleep finally took him, it wasn't for long. He woke up not four hours later in a cold sweat, drenched with the uncanny feeling associated with nightmares. Then he drifted in and out of consciousness, too wracked by nerves to fully sleep, until his alarm went off. In the morning, he made breakfast and brushed his teeth both before and after, telling himself that he was not insecure about how his breath smelled just because Jaemin’s was all minty the day before.
The entire time his makeup was getting done, he couldn't help but glance to where Jaemin sat at the other side of the dressing room. He was undeniably pretty, his perfect nose being contoured. Donghyuck ground his teeth. Jaemin met his eyes once and Donghyuck averted his gaze, refusing to acknowledge that he’d been focused on Jaemin in the first place. But as soon as Jaemin’s eyes were elsewhere, Donghyuck was back to studying him.
The makeup artist pried at Donghyuck’s face, turning his head so she could apply eyeliner. His eyes shut; he could no longer study Jaemin, but he still felt his presence.
The bedroom set was ready for them. The sheets were half-heartedly made, the room decorated with an array of objects that compliment the artistic side of Haechan. There was an easel by the window and various water-color paintings hung on the wall. A few were half-finished, and one on the desk had a dried paintbrush laid on top of it. Donghyuck found them a little ugly but hadn't voiced that, of course. He had no idea who had supplied them, after all.
“Alright, from the top of thirty-seven,” Mark announced. Donghyuck jolted into awareness. All chattering from staff died down in an instant. Chenle and the other cameramen quickly got themselves into position with their cameras, and then Mark called–”Action!”
Donghyuck slammed the bedroom door open, storming into the room. The knob clashed against the wall with a thump and swung back on its own. It was stopped from shutting completely by Jaemin, who walked in after.
“Leave me alone, Jae,” Donghyuck–Haechan– warned. Haechan was mad at Jae, and Donghyuck didn’t have a hard time feeling mad at Jaemin, which made it easy to fuel the emotions of his character.
Jaemin drew a deep breath, closing the door behind him with gentler movements than Donghyuck displayed. “Haechan, please–”
“I don’t want to hear it,” Donghyuck snapped. “Did this mean nothing to you? Did we mean nothing to you?”
Jaemin closed in on Donghyuck, who backed up a few steps until he was against the wall. Jaemin slammed the space beside Donghyuck’s head–a cage, Haechan trapped in Jae’s subtle embrace. Not near enough to hold, but enough to keep in place. One of the paintings taped to the wall came loose, swaying to the ground like an autumn leaf. Donghyuck wondered if Mark would call the scene, but he must have liked the effect it had, because they continued to film without interruption.
Jaemin leaned in close. Donghyuck shuddered, hard enough that the camera would pick it up easily.
“Of course it meant something,” Jaemin murmured into his ear. His breath was hot where it hit his neck. He fought the urge to grimace from the uncomfortable tickling sensation.
Donghyuck knew the time had come to put his acting skills to the test. Pretending to hate Jaemin was easy, but it was when that hate fueled into sexual tension that Donghyuck struggled to perform. It was his opportunity to prove to Mark that he was capable of doing the role of Haechan better than anyone else, to prove he wasn’t the shit actor Jaemin thought of him as.
Jaemin was so close that Donghyuck could discern every imperfection of his skin–which was next to none. Just another thing Donghyuck had disdain for. Maybe he should make a list. It would help him vent his anger.
He needed to forget himself, his petty emotions. Let his mind drift, tip over the edge, fall headfirst into a world where Jaemin was the object of Donghyuck’s desires. Allow himself to be overtaken by Haechan’s feelings rather than his own. It wasn’t an entirely impossible feat. Jaemin was objectively handsome, and Donghyuck liked handsome men.
But it was difficult. Donghyuck ended up settling on a half-longing feeling in his chest that was hollow, but adequate enough for him to put on a show.
“Then prove it,” Donghyuck whispered back. He relaxed his throat, made his voice breathy. It wasn’t challenging when the nerves running through him were real, if for an entirely different reason than his character.
There was no hesitancy with the kiss. No slow leaning in, letting their breath mingle in the same space before finally eliminating the distance. Donghyuck gathered that would be the case based on the wording in the script. But the expected harshness still didn’t prepare him for it. It was surreal, that he was no longer anticipating the kiss from reading about it in a script but actually living it.
Jaemin kissed him hard, his weight solid against Donghyuck. It took him a moment to realize what was happening, but when he did, he kissed back with equal fervor. Haechan didn’t see the kiss coming, but then he was taken by it, overwhelmed by his repressed feelings for Jae. Donghyuck, on the other hand, was overwhelmed by his determination to prove himself.
Jaemin’s lips were soft, barely chapped despite the cold season. He had a gloss on, but it wasn’t the same as Donghyuck’s. It tasted of sugar and cherry. Donghyuck wondered if that was on purpose to make the experience more pleasant.
Donghyuck did his best to turn off his mind as Jaemin pulled on his arm, leading him to the bed. Donghyuck wanted to be able to imagine himself kissing someone else, anyone else, but he couldn’t. Every time he caught a glimpse, there he was–his doe eyes and lashes. Every time he heard a soft breath or muffled noise, it was his gravelly voice. Everything down to the scent that surrounded him was so Jaemin that Donghyuck wanted to scream.
Donghyuck’s back hit the bed, and cushioned by the soft embrace of it, he allowed his eyes to flutter open fully. Jaemin crawled onto him, hovering above. His hair hung in his face, but Donghyuck could still see his features clearly. He looked hungry. Donghyuck had seen that look on Jaemin before, in a couple films he’d watched. Donghyuck wasn’t prepared for the way his stomach swooped when Jaemin directed that look at him. It felt like it was just the two of them in the room. It felt real.
Donghyuck scrambled to recall the next part of the script, chasing it down in his mind that had been turned to mush.
“God, want you so bad,” Jaemin mumbled into his ear, and for a moment, Donghyuck was confused on why Jaemin said that. Jaemin didn’t feel that way, not about Donghyuck. But no–yes, of course, that that was indeed the next line.
Donghyuck allowed his shirt to be taken off. He grabbed at Jaemin’s shirt in return, pulling it over his head. With Donghyuck underneath, it landed on his chest. Donghyuck tossed it to the side, and it fell in a heap on the carpeted floor. His skin was warm all over where it touched Jaemin’s own, ice cold where they were apart– was there a breeze in the room?
Jaemin took time to ogle at Donghyuck, his dark eyes alluring in a way that made Donghyuck uneasy. He leaned down and kissed across Donghyuck’s collarbones. Donghyuck let out a scripted sigh and slackened where he lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering how long it would take for the scene to end, if they would have to do multiple takes.
And then Jaemin was moving down further, kissing down his chest, splaying his hand over it, fondling him. Donghyuck hadn’t hooked up with anyone in ages, and while what was happening between himself and Jaemin was far from a hookup, it still felt nice to be touched, no matter the circumstances. Donghyuck missed it, missed the closeness to another human being. He’d been so busy with his work that he hadn’t taken the time, but filming with Jaemin was making him reconsider.
Donghyuck refocused when Jaemin’s mouth passed his belly button. Donghyuck looked down, caught sight of Jaemin pressing slow, deliberate kisses down his happy trail, and to his horror, there was a stir low in his gut.
“CUT!”
Donghyuck gasped for breath, sitting up quickly.
What the fuck.
Jaemin, unbothered, got up from the bed and stretched. He reached for his shirt that Donghyuck previously threw aside.
Mark tapped a pen against his copy of the script. “I think I wanna try the second half of this scene differently, From Line 7 on page 38.”
Donghyuck, still reeling from whatever the hell he’d just felt, was handed a script by someone behind the scenes. He quickly skimmed through the pages to see exactly which part Mark was referring to, and it helped to distract his thoughts.
He was curious as to why Mark didn’t comment on his and Jaemin’s chemistry, as it could mean anything. Most likely, it meant he was neutral on the subject. Which was at least better than the day before, where he’d called it out for being subpar.
“Okay,” Donghyuck said. “Where do we–or, uh, where do you want us positioned?”
“Well, you won’t need the shirts,” Mark said. Jaemin threw his shirt back on to the ground. “Both of you, under the covers. I want you to act like you’ve just finished and are going in for round two.”
Donghyuck tried not to feel embarrassed by Mark’s blunt description–and what he’d have to pretend to do. He laid back where he already was on the bed. It felt like it took forever for Jaemin to get back on top of him. When he was, a few staff came over and positioned the sheets overtop of them, checking with Mark to make sure everything was as he wanted.
Donghyuck felt a little timid being under the covers, Jaemin hovering over him. Donghyuck could feel the heat of the other’s skin even when only their legs were touching.
Jaemin’s hair was messy, lips rosy and plush from being kissed, and Donghyuck felt another twist inside him that he ignored. He was curious if he looked that way, too, just as attractively undone.
Mark called the second take, and for a second, Donghyuck and Jaemin were still just staring at each other.
“God, want you so bad,” Jaemin said again, and for some reason, it was way more captivating to Donghyuck’s ears than it had been the first time. When Jaemin’s lips hit his collarbone for the second time, the shiver that ran through Donghyuck was very much real.
Jaemin kissed down his body once more. His fingers skimmed Donghyuck’s chest, leaving behind a trail of goosebumps in their wake. All of Donghyuck’s senses seemed suddenly heightened, every inch of him going along with Jaemin’s movements. Donghyuck realized with much belated horror that the shockwaves coursing through his body were arousal–as in, he was turned on. He was turned on by Jaemin’s mouth and hands all over him, by Jaemin’s acting, and he had no fucking clue what to do about it.
Jaemin got lower and lower, more of his body disappearing under the sheets. Donghyuck wasn’t thinking about the implications of that. He was too engulfed with the salaciousness of the situation until it was too late, and Jaemin’s head was gone.
Donghyuck could tell by the throbbing in his cock that he was at least half-hard, and then, when Jaemin’s breath was on his briefs, Donghyuck tightened all over.
One of Jaemin’s hands came to touch his thigh, and Donghyuck whimpered. It was completely unplanned. Red hot humiliation struck, and then Jaemin moved his head, a slow and deliberate bob. He wasn’t giving Donghyuck a blowjob but it looked like he was under the sheets, and it was fucking hot. It made Donghyuck so hard it bordered on painful.
Mark calling “cut!” was music to his ears. He scrambled back, careful not to kick Jaemin in the process. When the covers slipped off Jaemin’s head, Donghyuck draped them over himself, discreetly hiding his crotch from sight.
Jaemin’s face was flushed, but it could have been from the heat, or from making out. It didn’t mean that he knew Donghyuck was hard. But then Jaemin’s eyes fell from Donghyuck’s face down to the hidden bulge, and even though he was covered by the sheets, Donghyuck felt completely naked.
Donghyuck knew it then– there was a zero percent fucking chance that Jaemin hadn’t noticed.
“Nice job, you two!” Mark called, sauntering over to them. He put one hand on each of their shoulders, squeezing affectionately like you would with an old friend. It was a little awkward with Jaemin standing and Donghyuck still sitting on the bed, but he made it work.
“Better that time, was it?” Jaemin asked. “More believable?”
“Yea, you guys did great, actually,” Mark complimented. Donghyuck wanted to be elated, even smug, but his stomach was in knots.
There was something to Jaemin’s voice, like he was teasing, and Donghyuck wanted to fucking die. This was the moment, wasn’t it? The end of his acting career? Jaemin was going to tell Mark that Donghyuck was a pervert that got turned on while filming a sex scene, and everyone was going to overhear it, and Donghyuck was going to get blacklisted from the industry, and then Donghyuck would lose all his friends and his apartment and have to move back home and pray his family didn’t find out through some gossip source and disown him.
But all Jaemin said was, “We did, didn’t we?” and then he looked over to Donghyuck and flashed a smile, too intentional–too coincidental–to be kind. Donghyuck had no fucking clue what it meant.
…
“Wait–you what!?”
Donghyuck slapped a hand over his best friend’s mouth, leaning towards him on the couch. “Shhh! Don’t be so damn loud!”
Jisung pried Donghyuck’s hand off of his face, stretching his neck away from Donghyuck’s face that was too close for comfort. “We are literally the only ones here.”
“Thin walls, dude. I have heard way too much of what our neighbors do in their free time.”
Jisung’s nose scrunched. “Gross. I didn’t need to know that.”
“I’m surprised you haven’t heard it yourself! So, as I was saying–”
Jisung cut Donghyuck off by waving two hands in front of his face. “I do not need the details. Why are you even telling me about this in the first place? Don’t you have, like, that guy Renjun whose job is to listen to your shit?”
“Renjun has kindly informed me that he is not my therapist.”
“Well I’m not your therapist, either!”
Donghyuck pouted. He’d considered going to Renjun about his predicament, but honestly, it was just too embarrassing. Not to mention, Donghyuck had gone against his agreement with Renjun to pause filming if something like that ever happened–and Donghyuck felt guilty. But when everything was happening in real time, his mind ran straight past rational thoughts and stumbled into panic.
When Donghyuck got home and Jisung was already there studying, Donghyuck knew he was the perfect person to talk to. Jisung got so shy when it came to sex that there was no chance he’d blab to one of their mutual friends.
“Fine, I’m sorry. I won’t tell you any more details,” Donghyuck promised.
“There’s more!?”
“Er, well, no,” Donghyuck said, which was true. He’d told Jisung the whole story, or at least what he needed to know to get the gist. He hadn’t told Jisung about how provocative it was for Jaemin to pretend to give him a blowjob, but he was sure that point got across.
Jisung huffed out a sigh of relief. “Oh, good.”
“Do you think I’m a freak?” Donghyuck asked.
Jisung’s eyebrows furrowed. “Well, I always do. But why are you asking?”
“Cause I got fucking horny in front of all those people! When Na Jaemin was touching me!”
“So are you more upset about the…y’know…in front of all your coworkers, or is the concern over the fact that it was Jaemin?” Jisung asked.
“Both!” Donghyuck exclaimed. He ran his hands through his hair, shaking it aggressively. It was already messed up from the filming in the bed earlier that day, so he didn’t care about making it worse.
“C’mon, Hyuck. Don’t worry too much,” Jisung tried to comfort. “I bet you’re not the first actor who’s gotten carried away on set.”
Donghyuck groaned. “I know that,” he said, which he did. Renjun had told him as such before. And Donghyuck kept trying to remind himself of that talk when he felt paranoid and debauched.
“It’s not uncommon for actors to experience arousal during filming,” Renjun had said in one of their first meetings, and Donghyuck was mortified, but Renjun insisted that it was important for him to listen. “When that happens, we halt production for a few minutes, give the person space. Then we resume when they’re ready. It’s totally normal, and nothing to be ashamed of.”
Well, Donghyuck certainly didn’t feel normal, and he was way past ashamed.
“It’s okay, Hyuck, really. Nobody even knows it happened,” Jisung pointed out. “Well, um, except Jaemin.”
“Yea, except Jaemin,” Donghyuck repeated, deadpan. Then he tugged on his hair in exasperation until he was actually afraid it would rip out. He quietly massaged his head after.
“You said he didn’t tell Mark.”
“Yea, not yet,” Donghyuck whined. “What if he uses it as blackmail material or something?”
“Right.” Jisung was clearly not convinced in the slightest. “So, do you want to discuss the part that’s actually bothering you or not?”
“What-?”
“I’m your best friend, Hyuck. I can tell what you’re thinking about after so many years. Are you, like… attracted to Jaemin?”
Jisung blushed a little as he asked the question. Donghyuck would call it cute if he wasn’t so freaked out by the implication.
“Wh-of course not!” Donghyuck denied. “It was simply a reflection of the circumstances! It’s been, like, half a year since I’ve had any action besides my hand!”
“Okay, again, too much detail, Hyuck.”
“And I was just surprised, is all, by how, er, nice it felt.” Donghyuck saw the way Jisung’s eyebrows shot up and hurried to explain himself. “Not because it was Jaemin, but because it was a semi-attractive man in my presence after so long! You cannot fault me for that! I am just a man! A weak, fragile man!”
“Sure,” Jisung said, tilting his head. “So what are you gonna do, then?”
“I’m gonna–” Donghyuck’s voice started out loud, but trailed off. “--Do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Actually, on second thought, I’m gonna take a fucking shower. I feel dirty.”
Jisung chuckled. He was acting like he had the upper hand in their conversation, the little shit. “Hope that works out for you.”
…
The next day that they filmed, it was relatively tame. Donghyuck was tense for the first half of the day, until Mark pointed it out. After that, he made a point to appear relaxed when the camera was pointed at him. He waited for Jaemin to say something, to tease him, to point out what had happened a few days before, but he did no such thing. In fact, Jaemin acted so normal that Donghyuck briefly doubted the experience altogether.
For Donghyuck and Jaemin, ‘normal’ was arguing in the dressing room twice. It was over petty shit that Donghyuck didn’t even remember five minutes later. All he could remember was the fire in his chest, one born of both resentment and something else much less welcome. A part of him went from recoiling at Jaemin’s attention to basking in the way Jaemin looked at him when they fought. Donghyuck would rather keel over than acknowledge that part of him, so he didn’t.
Instead, he focused on why the hell Jaemin wasn’t using what had happened to make Donghyuck’s life a living hell.
Perhaps Jaemin just wasn’t going to be an asshole about Donghyuck’s unfortunately timed arousal? It wasn’t like Donghyuck really knew Jaemin that well. Maybe he was just a decent guy when it came to stuff like that, but not in general, because Jaemin was most certainly still an asshole.
Donghyuck chalked it up to Jaemin being a professional. Perhaps it wasn’t the first time a co-star had gotten…excited…while working with him, or hell, maybe Jaemin had a similar experience in the past. Whatever it was, Donghyuck was immeasurably grateful that by the end of the day, he started to feel back to normal.
He had a meeting with Renjun that evening to discuss his first intimate scene for the show. Donghyuck’s nerves were acting up the whole time. He was scared that Renjun would just know, like some sort of wizard, but that wasn’t the case. When Renjun asked Donghyuck how he felt regarding the scene, Donghyuck lied like an idiot and said that everything went well.
“Good,” Renjun nodded. “I spoke with Jaemin, and he said just about the same thing.”
Donghyuck almost choked on his own spit when Renjun mentioned Jaemin, but the confirmation that Jaemin hadn’t said anything, even to their intimacy coordinator, had his head spiraling. If it was really about professionalism, wouldn’t Jaemin have spoken to Renjun in privacy about what had happened? Wasn’t that, like, the right thing to do objectively?
That left the idea that Jaemin didn’t say anything because he was being genuinely nice, which Donghyuck refused to believe. There had to be another reason, there just had to be.
…
Donghyuck got his answer the next day.
In the morning he and Jaemin filmed with Jeno, who had a guest appearance planned for one of the middle episodes. Donghyuck mused, with only a meager amount of bitterness, that Jeno was probably getting paid triple of him for it, considering the man’s fame status.
It was nice to work with Jeno, though. Donghyuck played a side role in a show he starred in the year before. They were casual friends in that sort of ‘co-worker one enjoys talking to’ way. Jaemin, on the other hand, was very close with Jeno. The two had even acted together as love interests in the past for a movie, and many fans were practically begging for their return. Jeno and Jaemin had a few too-avid fans that left hate comments on Donghyuck’s social media for being Jaemin’s new co-lead, but Donghyuck brushed that off easily. He knew getting into the acting business that he’d encounter people like that.
It was early afternoon by the time they were done shooting with Jeno, and without him there to distract him, Donghyuck was reminded of what else he had to film that day.
“Alright, from the top of fifty-seven,” Mark announced to the crew. As everyone got in their places, Donghyuck prepped himself.
Considering that they were at the office set, he knew which scene they’d be filming next. He’d spent the past nights pouring over the script again and again–because he was a diligent actor who took his job very seriously, of course, and not just to quell his inner angst over acting out another sex scene.
Both he and Jaemin wore white button-down shirts and ties. Donghyuck had khaki pants with a black belt whereas Jaemin’s pants were navy blue. In addition, Donghyuck sported a pair of fake glasses that, according to his stylist, were considered very sexy to fangirls.
Donghyuck barely heard Mark calling action over his own racing thoughts, but when Jaemin was looking at him expectantly, Donghyuck realized that they had begun the scene.
“Jae, I have a lot of work to do,” Donghyuck stated. He gestured to some papers stacked on the desk. “And so do you. I shouldn’t be in here.”
“You’ve done nothing but work for days,” Jaemin replied. “And when it’s not paperwork, it’s your art. It’s all you spend time on!”
Jaemin took a step closer to Donghyuck. As directed by the script, Donghyuck backed up in time with Jaemin’s strides until he could feel the desk pushed up against the back of his legs.
“It’s important to me,” Donghyuck explained. “My art is more important to me than anything. You said you support me.”
“I do, I do,” Jaemin sighed, running a hand down his face. He stepped even closer to Donghyuck, so that the space between them was almost nonexistent. “I just…god, Haechan, I miss you. I miss being with you.”
Jaemin reached out and cupped Donghyuck’s face, caressing a hand down his cheek to his jaw line. Donghyuck turned away from the touch, but made sure to convey longing in his features that would be picked up on camera.
“Me too,” he whispered back, leaning into Jaemin’s touch.
Jaemin inched forward to connect their mouths, and Donghyuck returned it with enthusiasm. The character Donghyuck played was overwhelmed by his desire for Jae, and Donghyuck knew he needed to get that across, so he threw himself into it wholeheartedly. The kiss was tender at first, Jaemin gently carding fingers through Donghyuck’s hair. Jaemin’s tongue pressed against Donghyuck’s mouth, and he opened it.
Jaemin hoisted Donghyuck up and Donghyuck squeaked, shocked at how strong the other was. He’d thought they’d need to do multiple takes for that part, but Jaemin seemed to put zero effort into lifting and placing him on the desk.
Donghyuck couldn’t help but notice the way Jaemin’s arms flexed with the motions, muscles on display through the thin white shirt. The stirring was immediately back in his gut. Donghyuck tried to think of decidedly un-sexy things, like the weird whining sound his neighbor always made while doing the deed. It was so close to working, but then Donghyuck got scared that his disgust would show on his face.
How was he supposed to simultaneously act turned on while also hiding the fact that he was actually turned on?
Jaemin kissed him again, and Donghyuck focused back on the script. So what if his traitorous brain was latching onto Jaemin as an object of desire, Donghyuck’s very real distaste for the man be damned? He could just ignore it. He would ignore it.
“We shouldn’t be doing this here,” Donghyuck gasped out, remembering his line.
Jaemin, or Jae, paid no heed to his words. He undid the bottom few buttons of Donghyuck’s shirt, fingers slipping twice in the process. Once he achieved his goal, Jaemin slipped his hand up the shirt, running his fingers all over Donghyuck’s abdomen. He reached his arm up until it was on his chest, not quite at his nipple but with the right camera angle, it would appear like it was.
Jaemin pressed closer to Donghyuck, moving one of his thighs so that Donghyuck was practically sitting on it. The pressure made Donghyuck realize that he was half-hard again, and he hadn’t even noticed. He blamed Jaemin–Jaemin and his stupid, muscular arms.
But no–it was his own fault. He didn’t jerk off after the previous encounter with Jaemin. Why had he thought it was a good idea to instead opt for a lukewarm shower? He’d been afraid that if he touched himself, he’d accidentally think of Jaemin. He was sorely regretting caring to such an extent, because now he was facing the consequences.
Donghyuck tried to incline himself away from Jaemin, but he slipped slightly and ended up falling forward, his head centimeters from colliding with Jaemin–his growing bulge pressing deliciously against the other’s thigh. He was about to moan, unable to hold it back, but Jaemin kissed him, hard and firm. Donghyuck melted into it to keep his mouth distracted, using all of the willpower he had to keep himself from grinding against Jaemin’s thigh.
“You really like this, baby,” Jaemin muttered in Donghyuck’s ears, and Donghyuck fucking moaned, his hips grinding down on Jaemin’s thigh without pretense. He knew Jaemin’s words were scripted. He knew Jaemin would never say anything like that to him in reality, but his voice was low and rumbling, his breath heated on the spot below Donghyuck’s ear, and Donghyuck couldn’t help his reaction.
Donghyuck was in the middle of questioning his life, considering quitting acting and moving away to hide out in the countryside to deal with his growing mortification, when there was a sudden bump–and then Jaemin cried out in pain.
“Ow!” he yelped.
“Cut!” Mark called immediately. “Jaemin, you okay?”
“Do you need a break?” Renjun asked from his place among the crew.
“I hit my knee against the desk,” Jaemin hissed. He jumped back from Donghyuck, putting a hand on his knee and slumping over. Donghyuck took advantage of the opportunity, pressing his legs together and sucking in deep breaths to calm his arousal.
“Do you need the set medic?” Mark asked. Jaemin shook his head.
“I’m fine. It just hit that funny nerve, you know? I’ll walk it off.”
Mark still seemed concerned, but didn’t press it further. “Okay, then everyone take fifteen and we’ll meet back here.”
There were murmured understandings throughout the room, and then people began to disperse, taking advantage of the sudden break. Jaemin left the room, limping slightly, and Donghyuck almost felt bad for him.
Donghyuck then realized it was a perfect opportunity for him to get himself sorted, so he also left the room before anyone tried to talk to him.
He was walking down the hallway, the sign for the restroom only a few meters away, when fingers wrapped around his wrist. He was tugged, and Donghyuck almost lost his footing, but strong arms kept him upright.
His voice was not as manly as he would’ve liked it to sound when he hurled a “What the fuck–” at whoever grabbed him. His eyes widened when he saw who it was. “Jaemin!?”
“Shhh!” Jaemin hissed, and Donghyuck’s eyes honed in on the way Jaemin’s plush lips puckered when they pressed against his pointer finger. His cock pulsed, once. He really needed to get himself sorted. But he was too distracted to protest when Jaemin led him through a door, closing it behind them.
“What the fuck!?” Donghyuck asked, voice low. Why he was whispering, he had no clue. He knew he should leave and not play into whatever shenanigan Jaemin had dragged him into.
The two of them were in some sort of cleaning closet. It was small, too small for two people to fit comfortably in. There was a mop up against Donghyuck’s back, a dustpan he would trip over if he moved even slightly to the right, and the tang of bleach in the air. As he was looking around, a thought occurred to him.
“What happened to your hurt knee?” he asked, referring to the conveniently-gone limp.
“I never hurt it.” Jaemin had a smug look on his face, one that Donghyuck decidedly loathed.
“Then why-”
“I wanted to get you in here.” Jaemin’s eyes trailed down Donghyuck’s entire body. Donghyuck flushed under the scrutiny. “I’ll suck your dick?”
The room went black. When Donghyuck’s vision evidently came back the next second, everything was the same. Jaemin was still in front of him, close enough that Donghyuck was breathing in the air that Jaemin exhaled. Nothing had changed, and Jaemin still fucking said that, and Donghyuck could not believe his fucking ears.
“You-”
“It’s fine if you don’t want to, but…” Jaemin trailed off, eyes looking downwards. The bulge in Donghyuck’s pants was incredibly apparent. “Anyways, decide fast. We have to be back on set in twelve minutes.”
“I-”
Fuck. Donghyuck needed to say no. He had to say no.
Jaemin licked his lips–slow, calculated. Donghyuck thought of how it would look to see them stretched out, wrapped around his cock. He twitched in his pants.
Donghyuck bit his lip so hard he almost drew blood. Whatever. He could get relief now–sweet, sweet fucking relief from three days of this tension, and he could regret it later. He would regret it later. He knew it as he nodded, slowly, as if under a spell. He knew it as he watched Jaemin drop to his knees. The sight made Donghyuck feel high, like he was hallucinating –to see Na Jaemin before him, knees rubbing against the wooden floor through his dress pants, peering up at Donghyuck with bedroom eyes.
Jaemin undid his belt. It got caught, briefly, and Donghyuck vowed to burn the fucking thing. It was finally off and tossed somewhere random among the cleaning supplies, and then Jaemin was pulling down Donghyuck’s pants and underwear all in one motion.
Donghyuck was so hard. He had no clue if he’d ever been so turned on in his entire life, but that was not something that he wanted to analyze.
“What the fuck,” Donghyuck murmurred under his breath, and Jaemin chuckled. He fucking chuckled. Donghyuck opened his mouth to say something, probably an insult, but his mind was wiped completely blank when Jaemin took him into his mouth.
Donghyuck stumbled back against the wall. The mop poked painfully into his spine, but he didn’t care. He barely felt it, barely heard when it fell over with a clamor, knocking into who knows what. Jaemin chuckled again around him, scooting forward with his knees. The vibrations sent shockwaves up Donghyuck’s entire body, and he moaned. He wouldn’t have been able to hold it back if he’d tried.
Jaemin placed his hands on either side of Donghyuck’s hips, steadying himself as he began bobbing his head at a slow pace. Too slow. Donghyuck allowed it for a few seconds, waiting to see if Jaemin would go faster on his own. But he didn’t, and before long Donghyuck started shallowly thrusting his hips, not enough to make Jaemin gag but enough to stave off some of the pure desire ripping through him.
“Thought you said we have no time,” Donghyuck said, trying to get across that he wanted Jaemin to speed the fuck up. Then again, maybe it was good if Jaemin went torturously slow. Donghyuck didn’t think he would last long either way, especially since he hadn’t had a proper blowjob since–fuck, the year before maybe? He wasn’t sure, but he was sure that whoever did it last was nothing compared to this.
Jaemin pulled off Donghyuck’s dick with a pop, and Donghyuck whimpered from the lack of stimulation. Then Jaemin’s hand gripped his cock, pumping up and down. Donghyuck chased after pleasure, pushing into his hand without the fear of a gag reflex on the other side of his thrusts.
Jaemin tsked. “So impatient,” he said. His voice was a little throaty, and Donghyuck hated that he liked it. Jaemin pulled his other hand off of Donghyuck’s waist to check his watch. His stupid fucking expensive rolex that probably cost more than Donghyuck’s rent. “Then again, we only have about nine minutes, so maybe you have the right idea.”
Donghyuck wanted to say something witty back, but he was already feeling the beginnings of an orgasm coiling in his stomach. He was afraid that if he spoke, it would just come out as a whine, and he was already humiliated enough as it was.
Jaemin wrapped his lips back around the tip, still stroking the bottom half of his cock with long dexterous fingers. It was so obvious Jaemin had done this before, his motions were too practiced, too good to the point Donghyuck was afraid he’d lose his mind.
Was this something Jaemin did often? Pulling co-stars into cramped storage spaces and giving them the best blowjobs of their life? He felt a little odd at the thought, in a way he couldn’t quite pinpoint but didn’t want to think about.
But then Jaemin was taking Donghyuck as far back as he could into his throat, and Donghyuck was choking back a pathetic noise, and his thoughts were completely thrown elsewhere.
“Fuck,” Donghyuck cursed, and he thrust his hips forward without meaning to. To his utter shock, Jaemin didn’t even cough.
Jaemin must have seen the shocked look on Donghyuck’s face, because he pulled back once again, much to Donghyuck’s disappointment, to say, “What, is your gag reflex shit or something?”
“I-I don’t know,” Donghyuck sputtered, which was a lie. His gag reflex was shit. He’d tried deepthroating approximately once, and ended up coughing like he was a teenager smoking for the first time. He stuck to only taking a few inches, even if the thought of taking someone in completely was beyond enticing to him.
“Mmm, I’m sure I’ll find out,” Jaemin commented, so quiet Donghyuck almost couldn’t decipher it, and even though he did, he absolutely refused to believe that he’d heard correctly. Jaemin spoke louder, “You don’t gotta be gentle. I know my limits.”
And then he was back on Donghyuck’s cock, taking him all in with one motion. Donghyuck gasped at the sudden amount of sensation, almost coming right then and there from it. He brought his own hand up to his face and bit hard. And thank goodness he did, because otherwise he would have cried out loud enough for Mark to hear all the way back in the set room.
He allowed himself to push into Jaemin’s mouth further, slowly at first but picking up speed as the seconds passed and Jaemin truly didn’t seem to care. Donghyuck tried not to think about how it was another thing Jaemin excelled at. Another thing that Jaemin was better than him at.
Instead he thought about how Jaemin’s lips were cherry red, just like his lip gloss, swollen and wrapped around Donghyuck’s cock like they belonged there. Maybe they did. Maybe if Donghyuck hadn’t been so focused on hating Jaemin, on denying how attractive he was, they could have done this earlier.
When Donghyuck started to fuck his mouth faster, the sounds got sloppier. A mix of spit and cum started dribbling down Jaemin’s chin, and Donghyuck thought it was the hottest thing he’d ever seen in his life. He reached out and fisted a handful of Jaemin’s hair, tugging not enough to hurt but enough to make an impression. Jaemin’s eyes opened at that, staring up at Donghyuck from below and Donghyuck couldn’t fucking take it.
“Gonna come-” he gritted out, completely unable to stop thrusting even if he’d wanted to.
Jaemin nodded, speeding up his motions as well, and god, was that an invitation to cum in his mouth? Donghyuck wanted that, so badly, wanted the twisted gratification of finishing inside the man who had been giving him grief for the past month, the past years if Donghyuck was honest with himself.
The thought carried him to climax. Donghyuck’s hips stuttered before he spilled inside Jaemin’s mouth, the intensity of his orgasm crashing over him in waves. He used his hands in Jaemin’s hair to hold his head in place, loose enough that Jaemin could easily pull away if he wanted. He didn’t, clearly had no intention of it either way. He looked fully content just taking it, eyes shut, throat lax, body language completely at ease.
Jaemin only coughed once, towards the end, right before he pulled off Donghyuck's softening dick to visibly swallow. Donghyuck focused on catching his breath, trying not to watch Jaemin’s face as he wiped off his lips, licking over them like he had to savor every last drop. When Donghyuck pulled his hands away from Jaemin’s hair, it was messy, just like the rest of him. Donghyuck had done that to him.
Jaemin spoke first, breaking the silence between them before it could turn awkward. “I should get cleaned up.”
He picked himself up, brushing off the knees of his pants where dust from the floor collected. Donghyuck followed his lead, rushing to pull his own pants up, as if it mattered that he was naked from the waist down in front of Jaemin after that. His hands shook as he fastened the belt.
“I-fuck, how much time do we have to get back to set?”
“Five minutes,” Jaemin said, his lips turned up at the corners. “You didn’t last long at all.”
Donghyuck frowned. “Why do you have to be such a dick?”
“Why do you have to think with your dick?” Jaemin countered, not missing a beat.
“I do not-” Donghyuck sputtered, but cut himself off because for some reason Donghyuck could not fathom, Jaemin was laughing.
“Yea, yea, sure. But can you at least manage the rest of today’s filming without causing another scene?”
Shame crept up the back of Donghyuck’s neck. “I didn’t cause a scene. I was completely fucking fine–”
“Yea, thanks to my quick thinking–”
“I fucking hate you,” Donghyuck spat. It was silent for a moment. The air in the closet felt scalding. It was humid and smelled of musk. Donghyuck needed to get the hell out of there.
Jaemin blinked, whistled. “You really got a stick up your ass even after sex?”
“Oh, fuck off.”
Jaemin grinned. “Sure thing! I’ll see you back on set in–” he checked his watch once more. “Four minutes.”
Donghyuck hated how calm Jaemin’s demeanor was, how nonchalant he was about the entire situation. The only sign of what they’d just done was the redness in his cheeks, in his lips, the way his hair was sticking up where Donghyuck had gripped it like a lifeline. Otherwise, he appeared completely normal. Did Jaemin even enjoy sucking him off?
Donghyuck discreetly peeked at Jaemin’s pants, wanting to see if he’d gotten hard, but Jaemin was turned around in a second. He cracked open the closet door, peered out into the hallway. He looked left, then right.
“Coast is clear,” he said. Then he was gone, and Donghyuck was alone in the cramped closet, reeling.
