Intertwining Your Soul To Mine, Mine To Yours, Like What Have Written By The Divine Spirit

Summary:

“Anything I have to do now?” Nattawat asked, a hint of annoyance is visible in his voice tone. But since Gemini isn’t that extremely petty for him to point out the rude tone of his voice, he decided to deafen his hearing as long as the pink fox still listens to him.

“The laundry. You use my tee shirts a lot, I can’t seem to find them when I need them. Also you really need to put on some pants. Do you even wear something underneath?” Gemini decided to ask out the concern that has been bugging his mind since.

The fox then smiled cheekily, as his fingers grabbed on the hem of Gemini’s white tee that seemed baggy on him.

“Do you want to see it?” The pink fox asked slyly, Gemini felt his face getting a little bit hot.

“No, I don’t think I want to–” Then he saw the fox lift up the hem of his shirt, and out of panic, Gemini quickly looked away, and put his hand up to block his view from seeing the sight of the half naked fox.

Or,

Gemini's grandfather doesn't have a lot of time left, and to fulfill his dying wish, Gemini must find a woman to marry. To help his luck in love, he bought a maneki neko. But the maneki neko actually turned out to be... a fox spirit?

Notes:

READ ON YOUR OWN RISK. READ THE TAGS. UNLESS YOU DON'T WANNA BE SPOILED THEN IT'S UP TO YOU.

God gracious this has officially turned into the longest fic I've written in my entire life and for it to be extremely plot heavy too!

When I wrote Often Hearts Open Up and Forget, I thought that would be my limit. But when I wrote Sorry for Making Somebody's Partner Feel Good, I ended up surprising myself to have myself proving myself wrong. And when I thought I've already spent myself with Sorry for Making Somebody's Partner Feel Good, I once again proved myself wrong with this fic, Intertwining Your Soul To Mine, Mine To Yours, Like What Have Written By The Divine Spirit, or what I always refer to as Maneki Neko on Twitter. I'm sorry for the long title, other than I really love the name because it shows the true essence of the story's whole premise, it has been my goal to mess around with my readers with how long I can push the naming of the title for a fic, and wanna see you guys struggling to talk about it because of the long name LOL.

While Sorry for Making Somebody's Partner Feel Good is mostly porn with plot, this fic is a plot-driven fic with its heavy share of smut too because I just CAN'T NOT include smut in my writings for the love of God. There are like around six to seven smut scenes in total in this fic? Which is a LOT than I originally planned. But I guess the demon in me just have to include that smut scene whenever I can LMAO.

The original prompt sprouted from a silly skit by GeminiFourth in Pepsi Mitrchuankin EP. 13, but then it grew into a whole fiction with an entire universe of its own because my brain be doing a whole olympic trying to add into everything that I've always wanted to write. And I'm glad I managed to finish writing the fic until the end, as it's REALLY heavy with plot and cultures.

DISCLAIMER: This fiction is entirely FICTIONAL. Even with the mentions of religions, and cultures, there are still a few inaccuracies in it which I apologize in advance, but once again, this is not meant to reflect to the real beliefs, and neither it reflects my belief either. Once again, this fic is ENTIRELY FICTIONAL so please don't come at me and berate me, as I never intend to make this fic historically or religiously accurate. Everything that I've written here is purely FICTIONAL and is meant to be taken as a reading ENTERTAINMENT. No hates or offenses are directed to anyone.

AS ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU READ THE TAGS AND PROCEED ON YOUR OWN RISK. UNLESS YOU'RE THE TYPE TO ENJOY CRUISING, THEN BE MY GUEST. Enjoy reading!

─── ⋆ ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ⋆ ───

“I don’t think this is going to work out between us.”

10 times. That would be the 10th time for him to get rejected by women, one after another, over and over again. Gemini wondered what went wrong, what mistake he had made in his life for him to be treated this way whenever he thought things were going well for him and the women he talked to. Just when he thought he could finally get their attention and tie them up to him, every one of them would hit the break and tell him that it’s not going to work out between them. And it honestly frustrates him out that none of them actually gave him a valid reason for them to leave him.

“May I know what I did wrong?”

“The vibe… I don’t know, Gemini. I just don’t think I could imagine my life with you.”

Still a vague answer. No matter how hard he tried, trying to make them like him, none of them would want to stay and would leave him eventually after a while. Gemini is not asking for much honestly, he just wanted a woman who would want to marry him. As simple as that, but no matter how many women he had met, every single one of them would leave him after only a few dates together. It hurts his brain a lot, thinking hard, as he tries to think of a reason as to why it seems so hard for him to find a woman who would want to be with him.

Is it because they can see that Gemini was never actually looking for something romantic in the first place? But he’s not looking for their body either. He’s not a douchebag, he swears. But because his beloved grandfather is already so old, and as the doctor told them that he wouldn’t live for long either, his grandfather had told him that he wanted to see him getting married and have a child with his spouse before he leaves. And being his grandfather’s one and only grandson, he wished to fulfill that last wish from his grandfather. He loves his grandfather so much that he’s willing to do that even though he had never fallen in love before.

Having been living for a solid 25 years, people might have thought that he had at least once or twice of dating experience– but the truth is, he has no single clue what love is. Of course, he can make out a guess what love is from seeing other people around him, and even his own parents too. He can see and know how much they love each other a lot– but Gemini just couldn’t understand what it would feel like to be having those kinds of strong emotions of love for someone else himself. Just like his parents, he can make out that his grandfather is a hopeless romantic too. His wife– Gemini’s grandmother, had long passed away even before Gemini was born, but he still couldn’t stop talking so fondly of his late wife. When asked if he ever thought of being with someone else after her death, his grandfather would only laugh and tell him that love isn’t that easy. And he would never find anyone else to replace that empty spot in his heart other than her.

He guesses, per his grandfather’s words, love really is not easy, because he doesn’t think he really can find one in this lifetime. He started to talk to women for the past few months in hope of fulfilling his grandfather’s dying wish, even though he had never fallen in love before, he is extremely hopeful to have someone willing to give him the chance for him to learn what love is– willing to show and teach him what love is, because honestly, he’s just that clueless. But because of the hopeless romantics surrounding him, made him crave for someone too actually.

He had tried reading books, articles, listening to numerous podcasts about love too, and on how to be romantic and understand women– but no matter how hard he tried, wrecking his brain and cramming all of these information inside his head, as he badly wanted to show them that he’s capable of treating them right– it really never worked out, not even once. It’s as if they could see right through him that what he was doing for them was simply out of presets– out of the cues he had learnt from reading the things he had found online, and it seemed that they could feel the void of sincerity in his actions for them.

But there’s really nothing Gemini could do about it. How can he understand what love is when no one would actually willing to give him a chance for him to discover and explore those foreign emotions with them? He’s on his wit’s end. It has been three months since he started to search for his future wife, but nothing could ever come close to giving him the vision of being on the altar with his future one anytime soon. Every single woman he talked to would stay no longer than three dates. Hell, most of them would actually leave him by the first one already. And it really hurt his brain trying to figure out what he had done wrong in his life, and his past lives too for him to receive such misfortunes. Did he commit treason for God to punish him like this in this lifetime? Committing grave mistakes in his past lives, that God decided to punish him by not having a single woman showing their complete interest in him? And for him to not understand a single clue of what love actually is? Is he really fated to not have a future with a spouse?

To be honest, even though Gemini has always been curious about what it feels like to love someone, he had never taken the action to actually meet or talk to someone before this whole ordeal. Because honestly, to him, there’s no use for him to be with someone, when he couldn’t really understand the emotion of love in the first place, so who would want to waste their time by doing the things that they don’t understand honestly? Of course that used to be his thought but then. But now, with his grandfather’s old age, he badly wants to fulfill his grandfather's last wish of seeing his only grandson getting married and having a child together with his partner before his last breath– and in order to fulfill that wish, Gemini is badly in need of getting a woman who would want to be a part of him soon.

He thought things would be easy for him because people always told him that he’s handsome and women definitely like him a lot. And even though it was actually true, for them to show their initial interest in him because of that– in the end, none of them actually wanted to take it further between them. They may have started talking to him because they were attracted by his visuals at first, but once they actually sat down and talked– all of them would be so eager to leave with reasons that Gemini honestly has no clue about. It was as if they were two magnets with the same poles facing each other, defying and repelling from sticking together because of the invisible force– and Gemini really doesn’t understand why fate decided to play so cruelly on him that way. He just wanted to get married in this lifetime.

Some of his parents’ friends, who were quite religious, told him that it might have something to do with the karma of his past lives– and they suggested him to do some merits in order to wash away his past sins, and for bringing luck into his life again. Honestly, Gemini isn’t that religious, he doesn’t really believe in karma and luck– but since he’s desperate, he tries to listen to their suggestions nonetheless. But no matter how hard he prayed– making merits in the temples all over Thailand, he still couldn’t make a single woman completely attached to him still. With women rejecting him, one after another– he started to think that making merits in his own country was just not going to be working for him anymore. So he decided to fly to another country, to Japan instead, where it is said to have this infamous Gotokuji Temple– a maneki neko Buddhist temple located in Tokyo where it’s said that making merits there would actually offer him a promising luck for lifetime. With that in mind, he really needed to visit that temple in order to gather himself luck in finding his love one of these days eventually.

Okay, maybe that was not the whole purpose for him to fly straight from Thailand to Japan in the first place– as he had a short business trip to attend this week actually. He just finished meeting up with his client the day before, so he has the remaining days for him to travel around before he has to leave. And since he is already in Tokyo anyway because of work, he decided to stop by the said Buddhist temple to help with his karma and luck before he had to fly back to Thailand eventually in two days.

So that morning, right after he got himself some hot breakfast, he took the taxi to go to Gotokuji Temple– which is also known as Tokyo's Maneki Neko Temple located in the Setagaya ward of Tokyo. Luckily it was a short trip, it didn’t take him any longer than 30 minutes to get there, and when he stepped out of the cab, he was met with the breath-taking sight of various sized white maneki neko statues filling up the entrance of the temple right away. To be honest, such a sight, to see rows of thousands of similar white cats with its paw hanging up gave him these unknown goosebumps rising at the back of his neck, as for some reason, the sight feels so eerie to him..

Shaking his head, he decided to quickly brush away the thought, since he still needs to do his merits here in order to wash away his bad karma and earn himself some gratifying luck. So he eventually made his way inside.

Even though the thin hair on the back of his neck still stood in so much eeriness, he still took more long strides, walking further into the beckoning cat temple, and was seen with more rows of thousands white maneki neko cats filling up the temple. The stalls that were lined up along the pavement are also filled with those same white cat statues too, which sends goosebumps all over Gemini’s skin again to see it, with shivers running down his spine. And when he reached the stall where they sell these white maneki nekos that he could buy– Gemini finally stopped walking and decided to look at the rows of maneki nekos instead.

All of them look extremely identical honestly, except for their sizes that varied, and maybe the colors too, which varied but they are mostly in white. Some of them are small, as small as his palm or smaller, but there are also big ones that can rival the size of his head. Gemini isn’t sure if he should buy the big one or the small one, since he’s not sure how these maneki nekos work. He isn’t even sure what the varied colors of these maneki nekos should indicate. He might not be sure of the colors part, but to think logically about the sizes, maybe the bigger it is, the bigger his luck would be? If so, should he buy the big one?

Seeming to notice he is in a deep thought, he felt someone’s presence looming beside him. Turning to his side, he was surprised to see a young woman smiling at him. She looks like she might be the shrine maiden of this temple from the outfit she donned– A white kimono top with red hakama trousers over it. Her long hair is tied back neatly into a low ponytail, with a few hair accessories adorning her tied hair. The girl seemed so pretty, Gemini could feel his heart beating, as she seemed too ethereal to be a human. But she seems to be standing on her pair of legs still so there’s no way she’s not a human, Gemini stupidly thought. But as soon as he realized that it would be too inappropriate for him to look at the miko in such a way, he threw his gaze away, and coughed awkwardly, picking up one of the maneki neko statues to avoid his gaze from ending up on her again.

Then he could hear pretty chuckles leaving from the young woman’s lips. He badly wanted to turn his head around to see the pretty miko’s smile, guessing that the young woman must look extremely pretty when smiling.

“Are you not sure which one to buy?” The young woman speaks in English. Gemini finally turned his head around, looking at the bright smile the young woman had on. He felt his poor heart thumping again.

He was quite surprised to hear her speak in English actually. He guessed it must have been too obvious that he’s a foreigner. So Gemini scratched the spot behind his ear awkwardly. Before then nodded with embarrassment and shyness. He then sets down the maneki neko statue he had picked back up to its original place soon after.

“Any specific wish in mind?” The young woman continued to speak, seeming wanting to help him in searching for a maneki neko.

“Love. I’m really in need of luck for love.” Gemini answered in English too. For some reason he felt shy talking about this to some stranger, and to a pretty woman too at that. He saw the young woman smiling again.

“Then you should choose the pink one. It’s said to help your luck with love and relationships in general.” The young woman answered, she picked up a small maneki neko, pink in color, and gave it to the young man standing next to her. Gemini accepted it gladly, trying not to touch her hand as he did so.

He scanned the pink beckoning cat statue inside his hand. It looks like it can be a charm too with how small it is.

“Does size play an important part?” Gemini decided to ask. Because if the size really matters, then he really needs to invest his fortune in making sure that his luck really is going to be amplified big time.

“Not really, but the purity is. The pure it is, the bigger the luck should be for you.” The young woman replied. Gemini then nodded, understanding.

“How do I know its level of purity?” Gemini decided to ask further. Since the young woman looks like she obviously knows a lot about this maneki neko thingy, he thinks he really needs to ask away everything he needs to know.

The young woman then chuckled prettily again.

“The purity depends on the craftsmanship. The ones we sell outside here are of low level of craftsmanship. The much purer one should be kept in the temple.” The miko explained. Gemini nodded again.

“I’m really in need of luck these days, so can I buy one?” Gemini decided to ask away. The young woman nodded.

“We mostly sell these high purity maneki nekos only to clients with reservations. But since it seems like you’re really in need of it, I’ll make an exception for you.” The young woman replied.

“Follow me. I’ll show you the high purity maneki nekos.” She added. Nodding, Gemini quickly put down the small pink colored maneki neko back to its original place before quickly following the miko who had started walking ahead of him. Luckily, she is demure with her steps, light and composed, so Gemini didn’t have to speed up too much to catch up to her. As they walked, Gemini couldn’t help but notice the apparent height difference between them. She looks like she might be a head and a half shorter than him, as Gemini could almost see the top of her head as he followed behind her.

After what feels like a five minutes of walking, from the courtyard to the room in the temple where it was said to store the maneki nekos with higher purity, the miko finally stopped her walk, and turned around to Gemini this time. She then raised up her wide sleeve covered hand to gesture to the rows of maneki nekos aligned on the big shelves next to her. Gemini watches where her hand leads to, and his eyes glisten with awe to see such beautiful pottery of maneki nekos filling up the wooden shelves. It’s still the same beckoning cat obviously, but the difference in levels of the craftsmanship between the ones they sell outside and the ones they kept in here, are just that apparent. Even from a few feet away, Gemini could see the details of the pottery of those high purity maneki nekos. Smooth and even surface of the sculpture, and a really neat painting job of the details on the statues too.

“Anything catches your eyes?” The young woman asked, grinning. Gemini then took a step closer, he continued to scan each and every of the varied maneki neko statues on the shelves– totally awed by such fine pottery presented before him. Even though he’s not really a fan of pottery, he has always been a big fan of any form of arts in general, and such beautiful craftsmanship really captivated his eyes, he couldn’t really bring himself to make a decision on which one to choose and buy now.

“You have mentioned you’re searching for luck in love. Perhaps these would interest you more?” The miko said, catching Gemini’s attention to look at where she’s gesturing to with her sleeve again this time. And instantly, with his focus falling on a specific row of maneki nekos pink in color– he had his full interest captured on them instantly. Still the same beckoning cats, but the detailed painting on its body are all different, yet still have this consistent baby pink painted to it– symbolizing that the use is still the same, for attracting love and romance.

All of them are beautiful, just like the ones he had just seen from other rows. But compared to the other rows, he managed to find one that caught his attention completely this time in mere seconds. Just one look, and it got him hooked right away. He’s not sure why, but it feels like there’s this invisible undefying gravity force centering in that particular maneki neko statue he just saw in that row– the force is so strong that it totally pulled Gemini’s attention into its axis, catching his eyes unblinking, as he couldn’t find himself to look away. That one particular maneki neko statue has captivated his attention completely, so much that he didn’t feel the need to look at other statues anymore. Finally found the one that caught his interest, he raised his hand slightly and pointed at the beautiful maneki neko for the young miko to acknowledge.

“That one.” Gemini muttered short.

Happy to see him making up his mind, the miko smiles at him again, before she steps towards the mentioned maneki neko, and picks it up into her own hands– she then gives it to the taller young man to have a closer look. Accepting the beautiful maneki neko statue gladly into his own hands, he wasted no time to admire the fine craftsmanship in his hands. The maneki neko is medium sized, not too small nor too big, and it’s extremely pretty too. Compared to the rest, this one has more cute details painted on it– and Gemini is always a big fan of cute things. The cat statue is fully painted with baby pink for its base, a big bow molded to the left top of its head, detailed painting of sakura flowers on its body, a red cat collar with flower patterns decorating its neck too, and both of its paws are raised up to both its sides– which something that Gemini noticed made it seems different compared to other maneki nekos in the room where most of them would only have either its right or left cat paw raised up, but never both.

“A good choice.” The young pretty miko commented. She seems pleased to see that the young man looks like he seemed to start getting attached to the maneki neko already.

“How much for this one?” Gemini asked, continuing to admire the prettiness of the cute pink maneki neko sitting inside his hands. The maneki neko is so adorable, he can’t wait to put them inside his house for him to look at and pray to everyday later when he flies back to Thailand. A wide smile was visible on his face, extremely content as he admired the cute thing inside his hand– before it faltered momentarily the second he heard a reply from the miko.

“35,000 yen.” The young woman answered.

Gemini immediately felt his blood getting cold, shocked by the high price of the maneki neko. Even though his family is well off, and he also works a high-paying job for him to not really be bothered by such a costly price, it’s still insane nonetheless for him to spend that big sum alone on something so unimportant like this maneki neko. Okay, might be a little important because it might help him with his love life. But he’s not even honestly sure if the maneki neko is going to work once he bought it– and for him to gamble that insane price but just to have him disappointed by the end of the day, only made his stomach churned again by the thought alone. For such a crazy sum, he can do so many things with that same amount of money, maybe donate it to the charity if he wants to, as helping other people instead of spending it on himself would always be better– but now, as his future is on the line, he feels like he has to come to terms to make that rash decision regardless since he’s already on his wit’s end.

Yes, sure. He’s never the person to be unwise with his money, he always only buys things that he needs compared to the things that are not. Because to him, it would be such a waste of money to spend on the things that he doesn’t really need. He doesn’t possess big hobbies either, unlike other men his age who are into doing collections of things they love. He respects other people’s hobbies and interests, but for himself, it’ll be such a waste of money, and he’s totally not a fan of that. Especially when the things are extremely expensive too. But now, he feels like he has to betray his own deep-rooted principle, because he just couldn’t bring himself to put down the maneki neko back on its shelf– He’s that desperate now. He doesn't really have any other options anymore. He had honestly tried everything he could in order to find himself a partner. But as none of his efforts actually bore any fruit, and as all of it became hopeless– he thinks it’s time for him to tweak some change in the way he lives, and make an exception right at this moment.

35,000 yen. That’s roughly around 8,000 baht in Thai Baht currency. But as long as that costly price can give him the chance to find that future partner that he has been seeking for so long for, he feels like such a cost could not compare with the sweet happiness his grandfather would receive when his dying wish to see his beloved grandson getting married and build a family is fulfilled soon. And Gemini is resolute. Now, with a much stronger determination and of course, desperation too, he’s totally brushing aside his conscience for today and is willing to pay that insane amount of price over a random pink maneki neko statue he found during his Japan work trip now– so as long as he can fulfill his grandfather’s last wish, he’s extremely willing to make that exception.

“Do you accept cards?” Gemini asked, smiling embarrassedly too. Saying that almost sounds like he’s a broke guy, but more like it’s because he didn't bring a lot of cash with him when he left the hotel this morning.

Then he heard the pretty miko chuckling.

“Luckily we do.” She muttered, smiling.

─── ⋆ ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ⋆ ───

“Papa is back, Jumu.” The moment Gemini got back to his condo, as he had just returned to Thailand an hour ago, he was met with an endearing sight of his feline son walking up to him with eagerness. The little feline was quick on his feet, walking up to his papa, and once he stood close, the pet then rubbed his furry head against his papa’s clothed leg, a soft meow could be heard too, purring, as he seems to miss his papa a lot. Gemini was gone for less than five days, but as the ragdoll cat has always been so attached to the hips with his papa, the four days still feel like a whole month to the little feline.

While he had to attend his business trip in Japan, Gemini of course hired a cat sitter to take care of his feline baby in his condo for the entire time he wasn’t there. And it seemed like Lord Jumu had gotten freshly bathed and groomed too. The cat sitter must have cleaned him up before she left his condo last night.

Still having his belongings to put aside, Gemini made his way slowly to the center of his living room, Lord Jumu walking along him, nestled in between his legs too sometimes, something he would always do when he missed his papa too much. Once Gemini set aside his luggage, and set down a big box on the table, he settled himself on his wide velvety couch. Lord Jumu jumped on his lap so naturally too as he did so, Gemini let the ball of fluff curled up on his lap as he brought the big box closer to him. It’s tightly sealed with saran wrap because of the flight cargo process, so he needed to unwrap all of those first before he can actually pull out the content inside. Luckily it didn’t take long, but a little bit messy, as he threw away the long roll of saran wrap that came undone from it, Lord Jumu looked so tempted to play with the long plastic sheet too.

As the little feline was busy clawing on the end of the saran wrap, Gemini took his time to open up the big box next. With packing peanuts filling up the box, he rummaged through all of those stuffings, as he searched for the content inside, before he could feel a smooth glass surface underneath his fingertips. Grabbing the surface tightly, he pulled out the heavy glass display from the cardboard box, and instantly– the sight of the pink maneki neko he had bought from his recent trip at Gotokuji Temple in Japan came to full display. And upon such a sight, seeing the cute pink maneki neko sitting in the glass box brought a fond smile on his face. No matter how many times he looks at it, he will always find the details painted on the maneki neko extremely pretty. And as he kept staring at it, it somehow made him understand the reason why some adults his age like to have pretty things like this. It might be a little bit expensive, yes. But the happiness it brought to him whenever he saw it, has honestly made him totally forget about its insane price that he had paid just to have it inside his hands.

He then pushed the box away, and settled the heavy glass display on the coffee table surface instead. Lord Jumu was still playing with the plastic wrap, so he just left that bundle of wrap untouched, and continued to happily admire the beckoning cat statue in the glass display. He removed the glass display this time, taking out the cat statue as he wanted to touch the statue bare this time. But as he finally had it inside his hands, Lord Jumu was quick to raise his paw and in seconds, the feline slapped the beckoning cat statue away. Panicking, Gemini felt his heart drop as the statue fell out of his hands. Luckily, his reaction was quick, and he was composed enough from worsening the situation, and managed to catch the falling statue back into his hand in no time. He felt his heart palpitating, breath heavy, as he swears he just saw his life flashes before his eyes the moment the status was absent from his hold.

Gemini then looked at his baby feline in total disbelief, shocked even, as this is actually the first time for the fluffball to misbehave. Lord Jumu is always an angel, behaving all the time that Gemini didn’t have to worry to have him unattended in his condo sometimes. But now, with the ragdoll had just slapped his newly bought statue away– that costed him almost 8,000 baht out of his paycheck at that– made Gemini continued to stare at the little fella that was still curling on his lap oh so innocently, as if it just did nothing wrong. Gemini set the cat statue down the coffee table this time, was about to put down Lord Jumu from sitting on his lap, but right at the moment he let his fingers off the statue, the cat was quick to slap the cat statue again. The statue wobbled this time, almost falling to the floor again for the second time– but luckily, Gemini’s reflex was still as fast, so he managed to catch it quickly in time. Now picking up the statue with one hand, he picked up Lord Jumu with another and decided to put the misbehaving little feline in his cage for the time being.

“You never misbehave like this, Jumu. I wonder why. Should I take you to the vet?” Gemini mumbled, seeming to be talking to the cat, but was actually mostly talking to himself.

He never has to put Lord Jumu in the cage. But with the fluff ball almost knocking down his newly bought maneki neko for two times in a row already, he felt like he had to resort to doing things he had never done before. He can’t risk having Lord Jumu destroy the item that may help with his luck in finding his future partner. He is still not sure where he should put that maneki neko in his house yet. He is not religious, he never had a praying altar built inside his house. So he really needs to have that built first if he wants to start praying to the maneki neko soon. Luckily, it’s still day out, so he still can run to the stores to buy the altar and set it up himself by tonight.

Putting down the maneki neko statue back on the table. He grabbed his car keys and gave poor Lord Jumu in the cage a guilty smile.

“Sorry, Jumu. Papa has to go to the store real quick, when I come back, I’ll let you out, okay?” Gemini said. And as if the little feline could understand him, the small being meowed softly.

When Gemini came back, it’s already night out. Fortunately, he managed to grab everything he needed before all of the stores closed on him. Walking deeper into his living room, he decided to set up the small altar by the wall in his living room. Putting down all of the items he had bought on the coffee table too, he started to roll up his sleeves in order to start doing the tedious physical work. It’s troublesome, but as long as he can start testing the charm of that maneki neko statue soon, he is willing to put out all the work. Picking up his drill box, he took out the drill and let it pool on the table too. Then he picked up a pencil next and marked on the spots he would want to drill on the wall.

Picking up the drill again and a few screws next, he wasted no time holding up a thin L-shaped metal frame against the wall, and pressed the button to start the drill against the wall right away. Loud whirring of the long shank spinning could be heard– digging shallowly through the wall, and when he felt like the screw couldn’t go any deeper anymore, he stopped pressing on the button and put down the drill for a moment. Shaking the frame slightly to check its sturdiness, and making sure it didn’t move– he picked up another L-shaped metal frame to hold up a few inches next to the previous one he had drilled on the wall right afterwards. In seconds, another loud whirring once heard, screw digging deeply an inch into the concrete wall. Putting down the drill back to his side again, he checked the sturdiness of the second frame he had just drilled this time. Sturdy enough, he then picked up the wooden altar next.

Setting the wooden altar nicely on top of the metal surface he had drilled against the wall, he drilled that wooden altar into the metal part next. Finally, he has an altar that he can use to put the maneki neko on. He picked up the pink maneki neko from his coffee table, and set it up on the altar. A smile immediately crept up on his face the moment he saw how cute the pink maneki neko looked sitting on the altar. Caress the top of the cute maneki neko’s head slightly, he closed his eyes, and silently praying hard for the luck of his love life as he patted the cat’s head for a while.

He may not be religious before this, but for this time round, he really wishes that God would listen to his prayer and help him out through his heart-felt prayer on this maneki neko. He had already tried everything he could ever think of, trying his best to do everything right in order to find that someone. But now, as all of the numerous efforts he could do so much as a mere human turned puny and hopeless, he felt like he really needed to submit himself to whatever this divine power is just so that he can get his prayer finally answered. He spent a fortune on this pink maneki neko, if he still didn’t manage to find his future partner one of these days– he thinks he may really be going crazy. Wishing one last time for God to answer his prayer, Gemini then finally opened his eyes again and put down his hands.

Now he had prayed to the maneki neko, he could feel the worries inside his heart calmed down a little. And with the maneki neko being placed high up against the wall, he can finally release Lord Jumu from the cage and let him roam outside in the living room again.

Walking to the cage located not too far off from where he put up the altar, he crouched by the white cage and unlocked the door right away. When he pulled the small door open, the fluff ball– Lord Jumu, immediately walked out of the cage and nestled against his papa’s bent legs, meowing sadly as he’s definitely glum from being put away by his papa. Gemini feels extremely bad for doing so to his baby feline, but he just had to do so, or else the little fluff ball really is going to destroy his only chance of fulfilling his grandfather’s dying wish. To be honest, he still doesn’t understand why the cat seemed really agitated by seeing the statue. Because even right now, the ragdoll couldn’t stop hissing at the pink maneki neko statue that’s sitting on the high altar against the wall. The sight confuses Gemini a lot– and it actually confuses him a lot more to figure out the reason behind it, as he really couldn’t think of any reasons for Lord Jumu to be reacting that way.

Is the ball of fluff jealous of the cat statue sitting on the altar? It feels weird to make such a conclusion because the fluffy feline never really showed his jealousy over anything before. Be it any other cats or any other things– Lord Jumu never acted this way, not even once. It exhausts him a lot to think about this matter, so Gemini decided that he really should just call it a day. Maybe he’s just too tired from the flight, and maybe Lord Jumu just misses him too much– It made him jealous over a beckoning cat statue his papa just brought home from Japan. Thinking that perhaps all Gemini need is a proper rest, he decided to pick Lord Jumu up with him and brought them to his room. Once Gemini closes the door behind them, the cat seemed to relax in no time, walking around the room happily before he jumped on the spacious surface of Gemini’s king bed, and curled up there into a cotton ball.

Gemini smiled at the endearing sight, before he walked up to the bathroom to take a shower this time. He’s totally worn out from the long day. He wished to sleep right away at this moment, but knowing that it would be just uncomfortable to sleep in such sweaty and dirty clothings, he decided to hit the warm shower first before joining the little feline on the bed. Picking up his fresh towel from the closet, he walked into his personal bathroom, and closed the door behind him.
