Work Text:
This whole thing started late one afternoon.
Phoenix and Miles had decided to stroll through the parks after lunch together in a local café, talking to each other about whatever caught their fancy at that moment. It was a nice break from the stressful realities of being a lawyer, though Phoenix also had a nice break when he visited Pearl in Kurain Village. It was nice then, when he was in the quaint little village, and it was nice now, walking through the busy parks of Los Angeles.
The sun was warm on their skin, cool breeze through the air of the parks. There were food stalls all over, selling things that ranged from hotdogs and ice cream to everything in between. The trees’ leaves shielded them from the rays of the sun, orange beams speckled through the dense foliage. Flowers burst in colorful patches in the grass fields, grass well kept enough to be comfortable but unkempt enough to look natural. There were a few people in the parks, a family laughing with each other in a picnic, couples cuddling with each other on the benches, an elderly woman feeding ducks in the pond. There was even a woman walking a group of dogs, smiling at Miles and Phoenix when they had stopped and cooed at the pups.
At some point, when it had gotten too hot from their liking, they decided to get ice cream from one of the ice cream stands. Striped pink and white awning shielding the employee from the sun, a colorful menu hanging from the bars on top of the counter. Phoenix had gotten an orange popsicle, and Miles had gotten a chocolate cone. They thanked the employee and paid him, before they continued their stroll through the parks, eventually deciding to sit down on one of the benches. Phoenix looked over at Miles, who was silently eating his ice cream, and he felt happy at the sight of him. Eating ice cream, the permanent scowl or worry on his face now gone.
Relaxed, just like he deserved to be.
“Nice way to spend our Thursday afternoon, huh Edgeworth?” Phoenix said, then teasing. “Way better than spending the entire afternoon in the offices, right?”
Miles rolled his eyes. “Yes, Wright. I will admit, this is a pleasant time.”
“You know, we should do this more often.” Phoenix said.
“Yes, that’d be nice, Wright.” Miles said with a smile.
Phoenix smiled back, popping the popsicle into his mouth, contently sighing at the taste of sweet artificial orange on his tastebuds.
Then, Phoenix heard…a voice.
It was unmistakably Miles’ voice, but there was something different about it. Deep and purring, something laced into the voice as it spoke directly into his mind. Phoenix realized that the something was desire.
Lord, I’d give anything to be that popsicle.
Then an image, no, a scene, flashed in Phoenix’s mind. Of him on his knees in front of Miles, a tight grip on his hair as he sucked Miles’ cock. Fingers interlocked into his hair, the feeling of a warm cock in his mouth, it felt so real. It didn’t seem to matter where they were, or why they came to be like that in the first place, all that mattered was the cock in his mouth. Phoenix couldn’t just see it, but he heard it, felt it, too. Felt the fingers gripping at his hair with a tight grasp, heard the pleasures gasps and wanton moans that slipped from Miles’ lips, felt the warm cock that was in his mouth, licking at it from base to tip.
Holy shit.
It was gone as soon as it came, but Phoenix knew that the afterglows of the scene were still stuck in his mind.
Phoenix almost choked on his popsicle, coughing and wheezing as Miles looked on at him in concern. Miles…he didn’t open his mouth, he didn’t say anything. And yet, Phoenix heard his voice all the same, the voice that purred directly into his mind, desire practically dripping with every word. Phoenix almost shivered at the thought of it, at hearing the way that need twisted his voice into something remarkable. He must have gone as red as a tomato, because dear lord did he feel as red as a tomato. Especially when he felt the ghost of Miles’ hands, gripping tightly at the locks of his black hair, the cock in his mouth, the pleasured gasps that Miles made as Phoenix dutifully sucked at his cock-
“Wright? Is something the matter?”
Fuck.
Phoenix made a strangled noise, and at Miles’ ever growing concern, Phoenix was able to wheeze out. “I-I’m alright! Something uh…got stuck in my throat.”
“Ah, I see. Well, be careful Wright. Choking is a serious health hazard.” Miles said.
“Uh…sure. Yeah, I’ll be err, more careful.”
“Maybe you should.”
“Yeah…” Phoenix went to lick at his popsicle more.
That voice, it was back again, undeniably Miles’, even when his mouth made no movements. And still, the desire was there, a desire that Phoenix couldn’t ignore.
Maybe you’d like my tongue down your throat.
Phoenix yet again almost choked on his popsicle, earning a strange look from Miles.
They soon moved on to a different topic, and Phoenix could still hear Miles’ voice even his lips weren’t moving. Though the desire was gone, it was still undeniably Miles’ voice, practically ringing in his mind. Lines of thought that he eventually said out loud, observations and comments, things that he wanted to talk about but decided to discard, all things that Phoenix knew were undeniably Miles. It dawned on him, these were Miles’ thoughts, he could hear them. Every single one of his thoughts. It was undeniable, and even if Phoenix was a skeptic, it was the truth. Little comments that Miles thought before he commented, little observations that only Miles would notice. He could hear them all.
But…why?
Why could he hear his thoughts? Why now, of all times? And why Miles? Of all people? He couldn’t hear other people’s thoughts, just Miles’, so why? Why, oh why, did Miles think of Phoenix giving him a blowjob? Sure, Phoenix thought Miles was attractive…but did he feel the same?
And…why did he kind of like it?
Phoenix shook that thought out, now was not the time for that. And besides, how could Phoenix be so certain that Miles felt that way about him? He could’ve just been pent up, which was understandable, that man rarely ever left his offices. And right now, his thoughts were actually quite clean, no hint of the desire in his voice earlier. It was hard to imagine that the two were even the same, had he not heard it with his own ears. Or mind? Phoenix wasn’t exactly sure.
Hmm. I wonder if Wright has heard of that new Taiwanese movie coming out. I know he’s quite a fan of foreign films…
Phoenix smiled at that, his smile growing wider as Miles nonchalantly brought up the movie.
It was one time thing, Phoenix was sure.
━━━━ ❰ · ❉ · ❱ ━━━━
It was not a one time thing, it turned out.
It was just a regular old trial. An actress named Lucy Furr was accused of killing her costar, Doug Graves, on the latest indie horror movie that was currently being filmed. Maya could barely contain her excitement when she had accompanied Phoenix to the crime scene, a filming studio that they had fashioned into a horror scene, lamenting that she wouldn’t be able to accompany him on the trial itself. Honestly, Phoenix wasn’t really sure why Maya was so excited in the first place, it was just another filming studio, like in their case with Will Powers, though this time with a fresh coat of horror paint.
Came time for the trial, Phoenix going into the courtroom alone, he was confident in his evidence, and his mind reading. It seemed that his powers only worked when he could visibly see Miles. Whether Miles was in another room, or all the way in another part of town, Phoenix couldn’t hear his thoughts. But when he could see him, and was consciously aware of seeing Miles, he could hear every single one of his thoughts. And he couldn’t turn it off either, no matter how hard he tried.
At some point, Phoenix stopped trying to turn it off and used his newfound powers to his advantage.
He knew it was an unfair advantage, but he was excited to test out his new mind reading abilities in court, happy to finally have one advantage over Miles, who practically had the entire justice system on his side. It was especially useful when the person’s mind he could read was the prosecutor’s. Phoenix made sure it wasn’t too obvious, purposefully pressing on details he knew Miles would jump, but he was just slightly ahead of Miles, had just the right evidence to refute his points, knew just the correct ways to shut down his arguments. All things considered, this trial was going quite smoothly.
And he had to admit, it was funny seeing Miles stumble around his arguments.
This is probably what Miles feels seeing him bluffing, hm…
Eureka! He forgot to mention the dustpan found at the scene of the crime found with Ms. Furr’s fingerprints! I’d like to see him refute THAT argument!
Phoenix smirked.
Oh Edgeworth, you sweet summer fool.
…Who was he, Franziska?
“Objection!” Miles yelled, slamming his palm on the desk. “Wright, you are glossing over the clear existence of the dustpan found at the scene of the crime! The ones with Ms. Furr’s fingerprints, perhaps?” He smiled, smug, though Phoenix knew that wouldn’t last for long. “Or did you want us to inconveniently forget, Wright?”
“Hold it! Edgeworth, you’re clearly forgetting one thing, the fact that the dustpan was completely clean! Even when the witness Walter Geist testified that he was cleaning the room only hours before! Not only that, but the dustpan had no blood, just the fingerprints of Ms. Furr! Don’t you think it’s a little convenient that the murder weapon, which was bashed into the victim’s head, was found completely clean with only the defendant’s fingerprints?” Phoenix retorted.
Miles immediately spluttered, with no argument against Phoenix. He glared at him, obviously not enjoying any of this.
Nnngh! Impossible! How did he refute it so quickly?!
It took all of Phoenix’s self control to not laugh.
Phoenix led the conversation, soon segueing into his theories of what happened, how it happened, and why it happened. He was doing quite well, being able to piece together the crime scene and how it happened as he was going along, making sure to choose his words carefully, especially whenever Miles had an interjection that he thought of. The Judge seemed convinced, and so were the gallery, intently listening to the theories that Phoenix was presenting to them. Things couldn’t have been going any better for him.
Then, he heard it.
Miles’ voice.
Filled with desire.
Oh, how satisfying would it be to put him in his place…
Just like the first time in the park, a scene flashed in his mind. But it was a different scene, of him beneath Miles, moaning and gasping as Miles drove his cock into him. Rough, a firm grip on his hips, Miles thrusting into Phoenix with reckless abandon, leaving him panting and moaning. Hitting that sweet spot that made Phoenix see stars, that made him wanting more and more, pleasure tantalizing and just out of reach. He was rendered into a moaning mess in Miles’ eyes, red dusted in his cheeks as he the cock drove deeper and deeper into him. Phoenix couldn’t even see where they were, or how they had gotten there. All he saw was Miles, only Miles.
And all the while, Miles whispered the filthiest sweet nothings into his ears, praising him, for finally listening for once, for being so good for him for being so beautiful. Phoenix shuddered at every single praise, each word going straight to his cock. At some point, Miles started to trail kisses and nibbles on his body, making sure to leave a mark. Phoenix was his, each single mark on his body had said. His to mark, his to kiss, his to put in his place, his to fuck. And Phoenix could hear it, see it, feel it. Every thrust of Miles’ cock into him, every sweet whisper, every single kiss and bite on his body, lingering phantoms on his body that felt light as a feather, but stirred up a heat inside.
Holy shit.
Phoenix wasn’t even aware that he had stopped, having gone still as he stared at Miles, until he heard the sound of the Judge’s voice speaking to him.
“…Mr. Wright?” The Judge spoke up.
“E-Eh?” Phoenix blinked, snapped out of his thoughts.
“You stopped talking all of a sudden…” The Judge said.
“Oh…” Phoenix faked a laugh. “Ha, sorry. Lost my train of thought, I guess. Can I continue, Your Honor?”
Miles, just like the rest of the court, was staring at him in confusion.
What has gotten into Wright? He’s been acting so odd…
Well, that was an understatement.
Phoenix took a deep breath, collecting himself as he continued on with the trial. Thankfully, Miles no longer thought about…that about the rest of the trial. But still, he felt traces of those touch on his body, heard the whispers of praise in his ears. How could he forget, when the sight of Miles over him, lust in his eyes, had looked so real?
This whole mind reading thing was mind boggling, and though Phoenix wasn’t opposed to it, he had to know the reason to why it happened out of the blue.
He needed to get to the bottom of this.

“Hey Maya, I have a question.”
“What is it, Nick?”
Maya and Phoenix were in the Wright & Co. Law Offices, Maya sipping the last of her milk tea, before throwing it into the trash can, cheering when it landed inside. It was a nice late afternoon, the two of them having come back from a milk tea shop, Maya sipping down on her second cup, because of course she had ordered two orders of milk tea. Phoenix was at his desk filling out some paperwork, more to pass the time than anything. But he was still talking to Maya as he worked, as he always did whenever he was working on his paperwork. And there was one specific question in his mind that he couldn’t shake off…
This was the perfect time to ask really, the two of them staying in the offices more to kill time than anything. Neither of them expected to see a client barging in when it was already 4:37 PM. Besides, Maya was the best person to ask about his sudden mind reading powers, something that he had been curious for days now. If someone was an expert in all things that were supernatural abilities, it would be Maya.
“Can you spirit mediums read minds?”
“…Why are you asking?” Maya questioned.
Phoenix shrugged. “Just wondering is all.”
“Hm! I mean, some families can. We the Feys can’t, though.” Maya scratched her cheek in thought, and then she asked. “You’re not secretly a part of a spirit channeling family, are you?”
“Oh, definitely not. I just…” Phoenix frowned. He knew this situation sounded weird, but Maya was a spirit medium, so life was weirder. “…I can read minds now.”
“You can…what?”
“Read minds.”
Maya was flabbergasted. “How the heck did that happen?”
Phoenix frowned. “I don’t know! That’s why I’m asking you!”
“Weird…” Maya hummed, then asking. “When did this start, anyhow? You couldn’t read minds when I first met you. Unless…?”
“No, I couldn’t.” Phoenix replied.
“Ah! So when did it start?”
“I don’t know, like, last week?”
Maya narrowed her eyes at Phoenix at that. “What day last week, specifically?”
Phoenix frowned in thought. It first happened on the stroll with Miles, so… “I think…last week Thursday? Not sure, though.”
Maya smiled, as if she made a discovery. “Ah! Alright, makes sense, Might be because of the magatama.”
“The…magatama?”
“Yeah, the magatama,” Maya said, clarifying at Phoenix’s confused face. “Remember when you gave it to Pearly ‘cause it was losing its power? Like, when we were visiting Kurain Village on Wednesday?” When Phoenix nodded, Maya continued. “Well, it’s possible that Pearly gave it too much power, and now, well…you can read minds!”
“I…guess that makes sense? I don’t really know much about this spiritual power stuff.” Phoenix said.
Maya giggled. “Yeah, it’s wacky.” She then grinned. “But it’s so cool that you can read minds now! Oooh! Tell me, what number am I thinking of?”
“No no, Maya. I can’t read your mind.”
“…Didn’t you say you could read minds now?”
“I can, but for some reason, I can only read Edgeworth’s.”
“Wow. You’re really obsessed with him, aren’t you Nick?” Maya said with a snicker.
“Maya!” Phoenix hissed at her.
“I’m kidding, Nick!” Maya said, laughing. Then, she added. “But that’s weird, that you can only read Edgeworth’s mind. Maybe there’s only enough power in the magatama to read one person’s mind. Dunno why that’d be Edgeworth, though…”
Phoenix shrugged. “Don’t ask me, I don’t know.”
“Right…” Maya hummed to herself thoughtfully.
Really, it was weird. Why could he read Miles’ mind, of all people? Wouldn’t it make more sense for him to read Maya or Larry’s minds? He saw them more, so why Miles? Sure, Phoenix thought about him a lot, but…was that the reason? Was the wistful thoughts about him, throughout the days when they weren’t together, the only reason that he latched on to Miles’ thoughts? That’d make sense, he supposed. He was always curious about Miles, where he was, what he was doing, what he thought. Sometimes Phoenix wondered what Miles thought of him, if Phoenix was on his mind as much as Miles was on his-
At the sound of Maya’s voice, Phoenix was snapped out of his thoughts.
“What does he even think about, anyhow?” Maya pondered, mostly to herself.
Phoenix immediately went red at that. What was he supposed to say? That Miles fantasized about railing him? That for the past few days, all he could hear from Miles’ mind were the deepest, filthiest, most intimate fantasies he had…of Phoenix? Maya would never let Phoenix live it down if he did.
“Uh, just Steel Samurai stuff…” Phoenix mumbled.
Maya raised a brow. “Really, that’s it? No intense broody monologues or something?”
“Well, it is intense, I’ll give you that…”
“…What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Uhhhh…” Fuck! Come up with an excuse, Phoenix! “He…has a crush on the Steel Samurai?”
Maya burst out laughing at that. “Yep! I can believe that. Though I don’t blame him, he’s handsome. Even if I’m more of a Pink Princess gal.”
“Yeah…”
Phoenix turned back to his paperwork, while Maya happily hummed to herself as she scrolled through her phone. Even if Phoenix’s question of how this whole mind reading situation happened…he still wasn’t sure why Miles thought about him so much, in…that way. It didn’t seem to matter where they were, or what was happening, Miles fantasized about him even in the most mundane of circumstances. And those thoughts were a myriad of things, Phoenix down on his knees as he sucked on Miles’ cock, him sucking Phoenix off, railing Phoenix anywhere and everywhere that they could be alone, and even Phoenix fucking him. He had even thought of kinks that Phoenix had never considered. Kinks that Phoenix wanted to try out now.
Really, it was ridiculous. Who knew Miles was so touch starved?
Well, it was Miles’ deepest fantasies, and Phoenix knew better than to intrude. His fantasies were private, and Phoenix knew he wouldn’t want Miles to confront him about those fantasies if he were in his shoes. Though, he had to admit, there was something about Miles desiring him so viciously, thinking about him in every way that he possibly could…
Phoenix shook that thought off. No, now was not the time.
At the sound of Maya’s voice, Phoenix turned to her.
“Hey Nick, wanna get burgers for dinner?”
“Didn’t we just get milk tea?”
“Yeah! But that’s a drink, burger is dinner.” Maya pointed out.
Phoenix sighed. “Fine, but you’re paying.”
“Nuh uh! You’re paying!”
“Maya.”
Maya gave him puppy eyes. “Pleeease, Nick?”
And in the end, Phoenix ended up paying for them.
━━━━ ❰ · ❉ · ❱ ━━━━
Phoenix yawned as he stretched, Miles watching him curiously.
He had to admit, it was nice getting to spend more time with Miles, the two of them sitting in one of the booths of a restaurant as they chatted about work. The two didn’t spend nearly as much time together than Phoenix would’ve liked, so he was practically overjoyed when Miles had asked him out for lunch. More of a work business than anything, Miles had told Phoenix, though he had heard Miles admit in his head that he just wanted to spend more time with him. Not that Phoenix was complaining, he rather enjoyed Miles’ company. He liked hearing the thoughts in his mind too, even the thoughts he had were just little comments he had made to himself. Those always put a smile on Phoenix’s face. Miles had quite an interesting thought process, and it made him like him even more, if that was even possible.
Phoenix was just laughing as Miles admitted that he actually liked the Twilight books, of course not without his comment that the books were better than the movie. A guilty pleasure, Miles had grumbled to Phoenix, who laughed even harder. He didn’t even hate the Twilight series, he just found it hilarious that Miles Edgeworth of all people liked something from that franchise.
Nnngh, that damn man! I admit ONE embarrassing thing and he’s all over me! And then there he is in court, bluffing like his life depends on it…
“Hey, I don’t bluff that much!” Phoenix suddenly blurted out.
“…What?”
“What?”
Miles narrowed his eyes at Phoenix skeptically, and he immediately felt put on the spot.
Oh uh.
Oh fuck.
He was a smart man, Phoenix knew. He just hoped to god that Miles didn’t figure it out. Otherwise-
And then he heard it, the undeniable voice of Miles, ringing in his mind.
You can hear my thoughts, can’t you, Wright?
FUCK.
Well, no use denying it now.
“…Yeah, I can.” Phoenix admitted.
Miles’ eyes widened, and then scoffed. “I don’t believe it, it’s just a lucky guess.”
“Think of a random thing. Just a random thing, and I’ll say it.”
“Hm.” Miles looked unbelieving, but it seemed that he was willing to humor Phoenix. “Alright. That’s acceptable.”
And there it was again, Miles’ thoughts.
Mazda MX-5 Miata.
Phoenix frowned. “…Of all the things you could, you think of cars?”
“Sports cars.” Miles corrected.
Phoenix sighed. “Oh, okay then.” He said, and then he asked. “Are you convinced now though, Edgeworth?”
“Yes, I am…” Miles grumbled. He was frowning. “How long have you been able to read my thoughts, Wright?”
“Like, last Thursday.”
Miles nodded, and then he registered what Phoenix had said. He could see the cogs turning in Miles’ head, who had turned a deep red. Phoenix knew exactly what he was thinking, and he could hear it too…unfortunately.
Oh lord, did he hear my…less than pure thoughts about him…?
Phoenix’s lack of an answer was answer enough.
“A-Ah, I see…” Miles cleared his throat awkwardly, reddening slightly. “What caused this sudden burst of abilities, Wright?”
“I have no idea, honestly. Maya told me that Pearls put too much power in my magatama.” Phoenix answered.
Of course this has something to do with the Feys…
“Yeah, so much crazy shit has happened ‘cause of the Fey clan and their whole thing.” Phoenix said with a snicker.
“Wh-What?” Miles looked surprised for a moment, then realizing. “Ah. Err.” He frowned in thought. “Admittedly, I’m still not used to you being able to read my thoughts…”
Phoenix shrugged. “I mean, I was pretty good at hiding it.”
“…Were you?”
“I mean, you didn’t know until now.”
“Fair point…” Miles conceded, grumbling.
“Yeah.” Phoenix scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. “Sorry about this. I really don’t want to invade your personal thoughts. Trust me, if I could control this whole mind reading thing, I would. But I can’t, so…” He trailed off, frowning.
“It’s quite fine, Wright. I’m aware you aren’t doing it on purpose. No hard feelings from me.” Miles reassured.
“Ah! Good, thank god you’re not mad at me.”
“I am not, Wright.”
Phoenix smiled.
Miles smiled back, albeit awkwardly. He cleared his throat again, no less awkward. “Err, Wright…”
“Yeah?”
Do you perhaps feel the same way about…
“…Never mind.” Miles mumbled.
…About me?
Phoenix’s eyes widened at that.
Miles felt that way…about him?
Their food soon arrived, fried chicken and a chocolate milkshake for Phoenix, and fried fish and some very light wine for Miles. The two laughed and talked, Phoenix sometimes responding to some of Miles’ thoughts, which had always surprised him. But he never seemed upset though, which Phoenix was thankful for.
Though, Phoenix was still stuck on that one specific thought. About him, about what Miles felt.
Did he…
Did Miles really feel that way about him?
And as Phoenix talked on about some new foreign art film that interested him, Miles listening on intently, his thoughts filled with love and adoration, he got his answer.
He really did.
But the question was…
What was Phoenix going to do about it?
━━━━ ❰ · ❉ · ❱ ━━━━
Phoenix knew exactly what he was going to do about it.
He had to admit, he liked hearing Miles’ thoughts, even the little observations that he had made, especially now that Miles knew he could read his thoughts, leading to some of the most interesting conversations he had ever had with him. Miles had taken Phoenix’s newfound abilities quite well. He had to get used to Phoenix replying to his direct thoughts, but otherwise, he seemed fine with it. He had requested that Phoenix try to not use his mind reading abilities to his advantage in court, which Phoenix gladly did, it really wasn’t a problem for him. All things considered, his new abilities didn’t affect their relationship. They were still friends, still close, now Phoenix could just reply to Miles directly, especially about his feelings. Miles had never been good at articulating his feelings.
Though, despite how great their friendship was…that didn’t really stop the fantasies.
Sometimes, something Phoenix did that was completely innocent set off Miles’ mind, that voice filled with desire in his mind as scenes of his fantasies flashed in Phoenix’s mind. Midway through his fantasies, Miles would realize that Phoenix could hear them, and he’d say an apology in his head before he put a stop to them immediately. Miles couldn’t control what he found attractive, Phoenix knew. And Phoenix couldn’t control his mind reading powers, Miles knew. Neither of them knew what to do when those fantasies of his happened, Miles reddening as soon as he realized that Phoenix could hear them, and Phoenix always trying to ignore the fantasies, even if it had an…effect on him. The air between them would become awkward, and Miles would make a half hearted attempt at changing the subject.
But…did it have to be awkward?
He liked Miles, he knew that for a long time, Miles liked him too, that much was obvious, if his fantasies had anything to say about it. And if Miles liked him so much…why not give him what he wanted?
Phoenix could see it now. The desire in Miles’ eye that he barely tried to mask, the way desire would drip down his voice as it rang directly into Phoenix’s mind, how he would interpret “innocent” little things into his deepest fantasies. And the scenes, the scenes that Miles fantasized that played in Phoenix’s mind. Feeling those phantom touches on his body, hearing those pleasured gasps that left Miles’ lips, seeing the flush that would be dusted on Miles’ cheeks, Phoenix wanted nothing more. Lord, wouldn’t it be marvelous if all of those fantasies, Miles’ deepest fantasies, became reality?
And Phoenix planned to make it reality.
He was going to take to Miles about some work stuff in his office, and Phoenix made sure to take full advantage of that. A dark blue waistcoat that hugged his body. There was a little body fat on him, but Miles liked it that way, so why not show it off? The sleeves of his button down shirt were rolled up, perfectly showing off his forearms. And his pants. Phoenix was a man of baggy pants, but not this time. No, this time his pants were tight. Hugging at his thighs, showing off certain…assets, he was glad he hadn’t thrown this pair of pants away. Phoenix was practically giddy as he left his apartment, curious about Miles’ reaction to his clothes.
He had soon arrived at the prosecutor’s office, wordlessly going to the elevator and making his way to Miles’ office. Entering into the office, Phoenix first noticed a mirror facing the desk, that was new. Miles didn’t have a mirror before, and why was it facing the desk? Though the next thing he saw, Miles, was less new. Miles was at his desk and sipping his tea, no doubt waiting for Phoenix.
The moment Miles noticed him, he almost spat out his tea.
Oh. Oh good heavens. He looks…
Miles’ eyes met Phoenix’s, and he immediately reddened.
Fuck.
Phoenix smirked.
“Hey Edgeworth.” Phoenix said nonchalantly. He walked over to the couch, sitting on it and smiling innocently at Miles. He glanced at the mirror that was facing his desk. “How’s your day going?”
Better now that you’re here. Especially looking like…
Miles cleared his throat, not willing to entertain that thought. “I’ve had a pleasant day, Wright.”
“Ah! That’s good. I had a great day too.” Phoenix spread his legs slightly, just enough to rile Miles up, a taste of what was to come. “You can make it way better, though.”
Is he…
“Am I what, Edgeworth?” Phoenix questioned, a brow quirked up in amusement.
“N-Nothing.” Miles cleared his throat, trying to keep some semblance of composure. “Let’s move on to this latest case, Wright.”
“Sure, fine by me.”
The two talked about the case, but every now and and again, Miles would glance at Phoenix, staring for a few moments before looking away. Phoenix would hear little thoughts, little praises that Miles kept to himself. But Phoenix heard, and he knew that Miles knew he heard them. This was basically a game, a little game of seeing how long before Miles snapped and put Phoenix in his place. And Phoenix was enjoying every second of it, loving every moment of seeing Miles’ willpower chip away bit by bit. Any moment now, Miles would shove him on the bookshelves, fucking into him and driving his cock into him deeper and deeper.
Phoenix had never looked forward to something more in his life.
At one point, deciding to be a little more daring, Phoenix “accidentally” dropped a pen on the ground, coyly apologizing to Miles before bending down to pick it up. He made sure to raise his ass at the perfect angle, just for Miles to have a perfect view of it. And lord, did Miles see it.
It’s just right there, all I have to do is…
The desire was practically dripping from his voice, sweet honey that trickled down with every letter that he said.
“Like what you see, Edgeworth?” Phoenix purred at him.
“Wr-Wright, we’re in my office…” Miles weakly protested.
Phoenix pouted. “But don’t you want to have fun with me, Miles?”
At that, Miles snapped.
Phoenix yelped as Miles grabbed him by the wrists, he hadn’t exactly expected for Miles to cave in that quick. One moment he was bending over in front of Miles, and the next he was pinned against the bookshelves, staring at those familiar gray eyes of his, the same glare that those eyes always had. But there was something there too, something delightfully new that Phoenix had never seen before. And he knew exactly what it was.
Desire.
“You really are persistent, aren’t you Wright?” Miles practically growled.
That’s what makes you so appealing.
Phoenix let out an out of breath laugh. “Ha, you could say that.”
“Hm. That persistence of yours…how annoying.”
And absolutely delectable.
Every word that came from Miles, both from his mouth and from his mind, went directly to his cock, already feeling it hardening in his pants. Miles had noticed, too.
Miles scoffed. “Tch. Really, Wright. How absolutely brazen of you. Practically showing yourself off to me. You were one step away from basically stripping in my office, begging me to fuck you.”
You would beg so prettily, too.
Phoenix found that his willpower was chipping away at piece by piece. But Phoenix happened to be a very stubborn man.
“What are you gonna do about it, hm Edgeworth?”
“You’re going to find out, Wright.”
Phoenix grinned.
This was going exactly where he wanted.
━━━━ ❰ · ❉ · ❱ ━━━━
“Lord, Wright. If you could only see yourself…”
Phoenix gasped as he felt those lubed up fingers press into that sweet spot, the one that made his vision go white with pleasure. Pinned against the bookshelf with a firm grip on his hips, Miles fucking his fingers into his hole, kissing and biting at the back of his neck, Phoenix was in cloud nine. But it wasn’t enough to give him what he wanted, what he needed. Just enough to drive him crazy, but not enough to satisfy him, leaving him craving for more. Phoenix wanted more, more more more. More of those fingers fucking into him, more of those biting kisses on his neck that Phoenix was sure would leave a mark, more of him.
Phoenix tried to buck his hips against the friction, but Miles held him in place.
“Ah ah ah.” Miles smirked, clicking his tongue. “Be patient, Wright.”
“G-God…” Phoenix gasped out. “Edgeworth, Miles, please.”
“Tch, so needy.” Miles scolded, purposefully missing the sensitive bundle of nerves.
Your neediness is so adorable.
“Edgeworth, goddammit. I-” Phoenix gasped again feeling those fingers press into that spot, gripping at the wood of the bookshelves harder. “Fuck! Edgeworth, please. Please please please…”
I could listen to you beg all day.
“Goddammit, Edgeworth! I don’t want to beg for it all day.” Phoenix hissed back at him. “Edgeworth, I want it, I want you. F-For fuck’s sake, please…”
Miles smirked. “You’re lucky I like you so much.”
Phoenix whined in disappointment when he felt those fingers withdraw from his hole, though he perked up when he heard the sound of something being ripped open, what he only assumed to be a condom wrapper. He gasped as he felt the head of Miles’ cock press into him, his grip on the bookshelves tightened, knuckles going white as he let out gasps and pleasured moans. When Miles bottomed out, Phoenix eyes fluttered close, letting out a sigh of content. Miles started thrusting, grip on Phoenix’s hips tight as he drove his cock deeper and deeper into him, leaving Phoenix a moaning mess.
“Really, Wright. If you could just see how you look…” Miles muttered under his breath, mostly to himself.
“F-Fuck!” Phoenix cursed as Miles’ cock hit that sensitive bundle of nerves. “Edgeworth, o-oh my god…”
“Hmm, I think I will show you.”
Miles grabbed Phoenix and bent him over his desk, continuing his thrusting, fucking into Phoenix’s hole as he gripped at his black locks. He was kissing at his neck, harder now, definitely enough to leave a mark had it not left some already. Miles leaned over and whispered to Phoenix, hot breath tickling at the shell of his ear.
“Look at yourself, Wright.”
See the beautiful sight that I’m seeing right before me.
Phoenix glanced at the mirror, and he moaned at the sight of his reflection. Bent down on the desk, his legs spread as Miles fucked him further and further, usually carefully kempt hair spikes now messy and unkempt, his face a blushing moaning mess. Every thrust into his ass, every kiss at his neck, every one left him panting and moaning, making a mess of him further and further. Phoenix was bucking his hips against Miles, trying to get more friction, more of that cock, more more more. Miles was above him, a concentrated look on their reflection, his mouth next to Phoenix’s ears, hot breath tickling at his ears as he whispered sweet praises into his ears.
“A moaning mess, falling apart at just the littlest stimulation.”
Who knew you’d be so sensitive?
Phoenix held back a comment telling him that fucking someone wasn’t exactly “littlest stimulation”, but that would’ve killed the mood.
“Really, Wright. How could you have hidden this sight from me for so long?” Miles continued to purr.
Why are you now just letting me see this side of you?
“I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.”
Absolutely delectable.
“Gorgeous.”
I’ve never seen anything so beautiful.
Phoenix moaned, every sweet honey word that he uttered making his cock go hard, every letter another drop of the molten hot warmth in his gut. He could see his cock on the table, hard and leaking on Miles’ desk. Miles had noticed, raising his brow at him.
“Oh, you like that don’t you?”
You like when I praise you?
“Tch, of course you do.”
I’d love nothing more than to praise you for the rest of my life.
“I’ll give you everything you want, Wright.” Miles whispered to him.
Just ask me, and I’ll get anything in the world for you.
“F-Fuck, that’s doesn’t sound half bad…” Phoenix said with an out of breath laugh.
Miles rolled his eyes.
Phoenix could sense his upcoming climax, bucking his hips against Miles becoming sloppy, his breath getting faster and faster, feeling the signs of his upcoming climax. Miles was too, Phoenix could tell. Not only because of his thrusts becoming sloppier and desperate, not only because of the way he panted against Phoenix’s ears, not only because of the way Miles’ grip on Phoenix’s hair loosened every so slightly, but also his thoughts. A mess of praises and pleasured phrases, chaotic and writhing around in a frenzy as though they were moths surrounding a flame, never seeming to stop for anything and anyone whatsoever.
But one thought, one thought was different from the rest, that stood out from the chaotic mess that was Miles’ thoughts. It had the same desire and lust as the rest of the thoughts, though there was something else. A softer feeling, a more affectionate feeling. It didn’t take long for Phoenix to realize what this feeling was.
Love.
It was love.
I love you, Wright.
That was what sent Phoenix over the edge.
Phoenix let out a cry as he came, reaching his climax, and Miles soon followed after. They lay still for a few moments, catching their breaths and riding the afterglows of their climax. Then, Miles took out his already softening cock out of Phoenix’s hole, throwing away the condom in the trash can below his desk.
We should…rest for a few moments…
“Yeah…agreed…” Phoenix said between his breaths.
Miles glanced at the couch in his office, then looking at Phoenix. He knew what Miles was thinking even if he didn’t have his mind reading powers.
Phoenix nodded, groaning as he got up, making his way to the couch and sitting on it. Miles sat next to him, and when Phoenix cuddled up to him, he didn’t push away. In fact, Miles wrapped his arms around him, which made Phoenix smile a little bit. Miles wasn’t usually this affectionate. Though, seeing as they just had sex…
“So…enjoy it, Edgeworth?”
I more than enjoyed it, Wright.
“…You could say it was a pleasant experience.”
Phoenix rolled his eyes. “You’re an asshole, you know that right?”
“An asshole you had sex with.” Miles retorted.
Phoenix let out an exasperated huff. “Yeah.” And then, he smiled. “And an asshole I love.”
Miles seemed legitimately caught off guard at that. “…Love?”
“You literally thought “I love you” to me, only fair that I let you know I feel the same.”
“Ah, I see…” Miles smiled. “Well, let’s stay like this for a little while. We can talk about that later.”
Phoenix glanced at the desk, which had some of their…fluids. “What about the desk?”
“We can worry about that later.”
“Heh! Alright. I’m not complaining.”
Phoenix snuggled up to Miiles, wrapping him around in his embrace, smiling as Miles leaned into the touch. However, just as they got comfortable, they heard the sound of the door knocking.
Miles frowned.
If only we could stay like this just for a moment longer…
“We can’t.” Phoenix said with a sigh, getting up. “Uh, where’s my pants?”
Phoenix looked for his pants, and when he found them, he put them on. Meanwhile, Miles was smoothing down his waistcoat and putting on his suit jacket. He glanced at Phoenix, who was struggling to zip his zipper, and he smiled at him.
I really do love you, Wright.
“I love you too.” Phoenix said,
Miles again, was caught off guard. “Ah…I forgot you could read my thoughts.”
“Heh, dork.”
Miles glared at Phoenix, and Phoenix laughed.
