Chapter Text
Darkness hung heavily over the Romanian forest, the eerie silence interrupted only by the distant howls of the lycans - mutated villagers, now half-human, half-wolf, stalking their prey. Natalya Winters and her older brother, Ethan, pushed further into the dense woods, their hearts pounding with a mixture of determination and fear. They were in search of Ethan's missing daughter, Rosemary, and the trail had led them here, to this grim, foreboding place.
Natalya's breaths came out in labored puffs as they trudged through the underbrush. She glanced at Ethan, his face etched with worry, the weight of fatherhood and responsibility bearing down on him. "We're getting closer, Nat," he assured her, though the unease in his eyes betrayed his words.
They moved cautiously, their flashlights cutting through the darkness like fragile beacons. Suddenly, a guttural growl echoed through the night, and a pack of lycans emerged from the shadows, their eyes burning with malevolence. Panic surged through Natalya as she froze in her tracks.
Without a second thought, Ethan seized her arm and shoved her towards the approaching lycans. "It's either you or me," he hissed, his eyes desperate. Betrayal seared through Natalya as she stumbled, losing her balance. The lycans were closing in.
Desperation coursed through her veins as she tried to outrun her attackers, but the lycans were faster. Claws raked across her leg, slicing through her jeans and flesh, and she cried out in pain. Blood oozed from her wound, staining the forest floor.
Natalya's vision blurred, and she stumbled to her knees, her strength waning. The lycans hesitated, as if sensing her weakness. As she looked around in her dazed state, she noticed three silhouettes approaching her, their forms shrouded by the dim moonlight.
One had flowing blonde hair, another had rich, dark brunette locks, and the third was a fiery redhead. Natalya's voice trembled as she tried to speak, "Who... who are you?"
The blonde woman, her voice tinged with an almost seductive allure, responded, "Your blood smells good."
The other two women moved closer, their eyes glinting with hunger. They reached for Natalya, but the blonde one held them back. "She's too weak right now," she stated, reluctantly earning the agreement of the others.
Natalya's vision blurred further, and she felt herself slipping away. Before she could ask any more questions or even thank her strange saviors, darkness claimed her. The blonde woman reached down, gently lifting Natalya into her arms, and carried her away from the looming, ominous silhouette of a distant castle. Unbeknownst to Natalya, her journey into the enigmatic world of Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters had just begun.
