Chapter Text
You look into the mirror, tired eyes reflecting back, you know what you’re going to do. You’ll sacrifice him, along with yourself as that had always been your role ever since your creation. But you are tired, of your role, of your grief, you know that you are a sacrifice for the holy grail and now for the Uchiha clan. Your actions are starting to remind you of your father, not that it's a good thing. You always hated Kiritsugu for what he has done, abandoning both you and your sister for a chance at fixing a unfixable world.
“ Are you proud of me Kiritsugu?” a question you asked offhandedly into the air, Was the only words you let out as you reminisced about your father, your time spent together, and your mom Irisviel. You really are starting to act like him in that regard, sacrificing the few you care about for an unknown majority. (Sometimes you wonder if he would approve of seeing you in such a state. Always grieving, never letting yourself relax, he'll definitely be sad, but in the end why does his opinion matter , he's no longer here. Heck you're not even in the same world anymore)
You were right, this did seem like something Kiritsugu would do. I say, not calling the man father. We both should really stop caring so much, it would make it easier for all of us.
After all, what was a chance compared to a guarantee?
----------------------------------------
I gave you a nightmare, of the Einzbern palace this time, instead of the ones concerning the impeding future and our doom.
It was instead set in the freezing cold of the palace, with Grandpa not bothering to heat the entire place up. With everyone being a homunculi it makes sense. For homunculi don’t suffer from such earthly ailments as these. You still hate it though, the ungodly cold. Freezing air causing your breath to mist up as you sit alone, waiting for your mother Irisviel.
( Or so we thought, it took a long time to recognize the shadow of Angra Mainyu as being the same entity as our mother.)
She beckons us to go out, to explore. You follow the maids carrying something on a stretcher.
( This was when we first discovered our purpose. A discovery that’ll change your worldview for years to come.)
You follow them underground, into a lake that feeds on the river Rhine. Then you see it, hundreds of dead homunculi filling up the river. The results of failed and unsatisfactory experiments. You stare in horror, as they all bleed out and began turning into mana particles. Mother whispers, telling you about your fate, a sacrifice. You stare there in horror and realization before a freezing cold begins crawling up your leg, black mud attempting to corrupt you.
You can feel the fact that this body is no longer yours, you lose the ability to move. Curses of the damned begin to fill your whole mind-.
The dream ends before it could reach any further, and you wake up in cold sweat.
Why did I give you that dream then you ask?
It's a reminder I say, not revealing more as you sit there in your bed thinking.
