Fyodor the little grey rat saw a basket full of nuts. His mouth salivated as he really wanted to eat them. So he created a small hole in the basket by nibbling it. He squeezed in through the hole entering in and ate a lot of nuts. He felt full and he was very happy. Now he wanted to come out of the basket. He tried to come out through the hole but couldn't because his stomach was full. He tried again but it was of no use. So he started to sob.
Then Ranpo the rabbit passed by. He heard the Fyodor the rat cry for help and asked,"Why are you crying,my friend?"
Fyodor the rat explained,"I made a small hole and came into the basket. Now I'm not able to get through that hole."
Ranpo the rabbit said,"It's because you ate too much of food. Wait till your belly shrinks." He laughed and went away.
Now Fyodor the rat had nothing to do but wait until his stomach shrinks back to normal. So he simply fell asleep for that.
The next morning,his stomach had shrunk flatly. But Fyodor the rat wanted to eat more so he ate and ate more of the nuts which was left out in the basket. His belly got filled up like a water balloon again. Fyodor the rat thought:"Oh,now I'll go out by tomorrow."
Dazai the brown cat was the next passer-by for Fyodor the rat. He smelt the scent of Fyodor the rat in the basket. He lifted the lid and swallowed Fyodor the rat completely to his stomach.
