Alice Cullen Cheats At Life

Summary:

Officially introducing your girlfriend to your dad is hard enough, but when your girlfriend is a flirty psychic vampire that uses her supernatural speed to kiss you when he's not looking? Bella's got one heck of an evening planned!

Notes:

Doubtless, you are thinking to yourself, "Why is Kwiz posting incoherent Twilight nonsense when they haven't finished their incoherent Harry Potter nonsense?" The answer is that I have unfortunately fallen backwards in time to the primitive year of 2007, and cannot return until I have submitted some high quality fluff or smut on every popular YA series of the era. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Work Text:

When the doorbell rang, Bella had to swallow one last bit of lingering anxiety before she answered it.

Alice Cullen, a pixie-haired slip of a girl, managed to look as poised and graceful as a ballerina even while beaming and bouncing on the balls of her feet like a dork. In her hands she clutched a bouquet of roses, which she offered to Bella without preamble.

“How traditional of you,” chuckled Bella as she took them. “And I see you dressed for the occasion.”

Alice was sported a sharp black fitted jacket over a crisp white blouse and tight pants. Smiling, she did a little twirl that made her jacket flare out. “You like it?”

Charlie’s voice rang out behind Bella. “Aren’t you going to invite her in?”

Alice raised an eyebrow.

Can you come in without an invitation?” Bella whispered.

“Of course not, it’d be rude.”

Rolling her eyes, Bella motioned her in. Alice practically danced through the door, and straight up to Charlie, with whom she immediately started chatting as though they were old friends.

Charlie, for his part, was amiable, if not as overtly welcoming as he had been on previous occasions Alice had come to visit. Evidently, while he harbored a general suspicion of anyone seeking to win Bella’s favor, he had not forgotten how much Alice had charmed him with her frank conversation and cheerful disposition.

Moving into the living room, Bella decided after a split second’s hesitation to sit opposite Alice instead of next to her. The pout that Alice sent her way showed that this did not go unnoticed. Charlie raised an eyebrow.

“Give me a second to check on the fish.”

The very moment Charlie’s back was turned, Alice zipped to Bella with inhuman speed, until their faces were hovering an inch apart.

“Hi,” she breathed.

“Hi,” Bella giggled back, and then they were kissing.

Alice zoomed back to her seat before Charlie’s footsteps sounded from the kitchen, leaving Bella only a moment to recompose herself.

Charlie had brought some bottles of sparkling water for them, which Bella privately thought was particularly apt choice.

“I’m sure you would have said no if I offered you alcohol, right?” he laughed.

“Oh of course,” said Alice smoothly, winking at Bella. “I’m very careful about what I drink.”

Bella choked on her sparkling water.

The oven beeped in the other room, and Charlie turned for the door.

Alice suddenly appeared behind Bella, pressing a kiss to the back of her neck.

“Th-that’s very risky, Cullen,” Bella murmured, even as she tilted her head to the side.

“Try not to look so beautiful then,” Alice murmured back, wrapping her hands around Bella’s waist and nuzzling into her hair.

Once again, she heard the sound of Charlie’s return before Bella did, and retreated to a respectful distance within the blink of an eye.

“Let me help you with the pan, dad,” said Bella, darting into the kitchen before he could make it all the way out.

Nearly colliding with Bella, Charlie extracted himself from the door with three plates, and began setting the table. Bending over drawers in the kitchen, Bella heard Alice insisting that she help, followed almost immediately by a sharp pinch on her butt.

She whirled around, but Alice’s back was already retreating through the door, utensils, glasses, and placemats in hand. Seething, she pulled on oven mitts and took the hot tray of fish into the dining room, where Alice was standing just out of Charlie’s sight.

Bella tried bravely to glare in admonishment at her girlfriend, who met her gaze and slowly licked her lips in a way that she would certainly find ridiculous if love hadn’t maliciously reprogrammed her brain to find everything she did heartbreakingly adorable.

“Can I tempt you to try some fish, Alice?”

In less time than it took for Bella to draw breath, Alice’s hands were back on her stomach, her long, elegant fingers splayed wide and inching toward her waistband. Bella could feel ice-cold lips break into a smile against her neck, and she trembled so violently that Alice had to press her a little harder against her marble chest to keep her upright.

Alice pressed a kiss right under Bella’s ear, in exactly the right place to make her skin break out in goosebumps, then whisked back to her spot on the other side of the table, smiling benignly at Charlie as he turned back around with plates in his hands.

“Oh, I’m already tempted.” She winked at Bella as she took her plate from Charlie. “That fish smells absolutely delightful.”

Suspicion rising in his eyes, Charlie glanced at Bella’s face. She avoided his gaze, her face burning.

Bella felt an odd mixture of relief and disappointment when they finally sat down; presumably the dinner table between them would make it impossible for Alice to dart across the room again without alerting Charlie, who was now sitting directly between them at the table’s head. It wasn’t until she looked up to see a mischievous pixie’s grin on Alice’s face that she realized this would only force her to redirect her attacks.

“Don’t tell anyone I told you,” she said to Charlie with a conspiratorial air, “but Emmett has a secret fishing spot out in the woods behind our place.”

Bella started when she felt Alice’s dainty foot touch hers beneath the table.

Charlie regarded her coolly. “Oh yeah? What does he catch there?”

“Fall Kings,” said Alice nonchalantly. She took a bite of fish.

Bella managed to smother the surprise that rose in her as Alice thoughtfully chewed on food that, to her, tasted like dirt and was completely indigestible, but Alice merely shot her a bland smile as she swallowed.

“Yeah, he found a little nook of the river that goes between the mountains up our way, and every year there are one or two thirty-pounders that get stuck during an early rain. It’s pretty shallow, so you don’t have to fight them as much. Of course, he says reeling one in is like wrestling a bear, but he’s my brother, so naturally I don’t believe him for a second.”

Hesitantly, Bella pressed her foot up against the underside of Alice’s.

“Hmm,” said Charlie. “You know, attempting to bribe a police officer is a felony.”

Alice batted her eyes innocently at him. “I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking about, Sheriff.”

To Bella’s amazement, Charlie was fighting off a smile.

Tingles erupted across Bella’s skin as Alice’s foot started tracing its way up her calf. She coughed meaningfully, glancing at Alice across the table, but she paid it no mind.

It didn’t take long for the ice to melt, and soon Charlie and Alice were chattering away. Alice, to Charlie’s great surprise and Bella’s exasperation, apparently had a marvelous hidden talent for fantasy football. By the time they made it to dessert, Charlie had a whole new strategy in mind to beat Billy, and solicited a promise from Alice to help him with the upcoming draft.

Alice graciously volunteered to help Bella when she rose to clear away the plates. Charlie offered no resistance, although his expression suggested he had an idea of what they were up to.

Once in the kitchen, Alice had the plates stacked and rinsing in the sink and her fingers tangled in Bella’s hair in the span of two blinks.

“You’re cheating,” Bella murmured as they broke the kiss.

“All’s fair in love and war, darling,” Alice retorted, kissing the tip of her nose. “And it’s not cheating if it’s genuine talent.”

Bella closed her eyes, fighting off a smile as her girlfriend tried to kiss her pout away.

“Keep this up and he’s going to start asking when our wedding will be.”

“Sometime in the fall, I think. All the pine trees around make it hard to tell the season.”

“Wait, what?”

Alice gave a mysterious wink, and sauntered back into the dining room.

Alice begged leave to depart shortly after nine, issuing Charlie with an open invitation to the Cullen residence on behalf of Carlisle and Esmé.

As her headlights gradually faded into the darkness, Bella closed the door, and turned to Charlie with a nervous expression. “Well?”

He grinned. “Well, what?”

“Well, what did you think of her?”

“I like her.”

He turned and headed back towards the living room, Bella in pursuit.

“You like her?”

“I like her.”

“Ok, and?”

“And what?”

“You know what. Don’t make me say it.”

Charlie grinned.

“What does it matter what I think? She seems to make you happy.”

“Well, yeah, but…” Bella floundered.

“But what?”

“Aren’t you supposed to…I don’t know, vet her out? With your dad powers?”

Plopping down onto the couch, Charlie looked her square in the face.

“I think she’s a lovely, bubbly young lady who was working very hard to impress me. And I think I know enough about being a teenager to guess what was happening when you two were in the kitchen together.”

Bella blushed as Charlie looked pointedly at her, and offered no comment.

“You’re a smart kid, Bels. I think you know enough to stay out of trouble. You don’t need my permission to date this girl, but you have it if you want it.”

Bella fell to her knees on the couch next to him and buried him in a hug. A little taken aback, he managed to return it nonetheless.

As they broke apart a few moments later, Bella cleared her throat, her eyes bright, and announced, “Well, I’m going to bed. Goodnight!”

Charlie was surprised by this rather abrupt declaration. “Err…goodnight, Bels.”

Bella tried valiantly not to dart up the stairs, restrained herself from dashing down the hall, brushed her teeth at a measured, reasonable pace, and strolled to her dark bedroom at a speed that probably almost no one would think was unusually fast.

Alice was perched on the edge of her beg, legs crossed, jingling one foot idly in the air. Her smile was blinding.

Bella launched herself at her girlfriend, who let herself be tackled onto the bed and fairly covered with kisses.

“I guess I don’t have to ask if I did a good job,” she chuckled when Bella finally broke away for air.

“You knew how to make him feel comfortable around you,” said Bella, trying and failing to give her a properly admonishing look. “Using your visions to make awkward conversation easy is absolutely cheating. At life.”

“Yes, it is” hummed Alice, burying her nose behind Bella’s ear. “Do you want me to stop?”

Bella’s breath hitched as Alice nibbled at her pulse point, and made a very wise decision.

“Never,” she breathed, and Alice chuckled as she traced her tongue up Bella’s neck.

Her dainty hands knew exactly where to go to make Bella moan and arch against her, trying to maximize contact with her skin. Her lips knew when to press themselves to Bella’s, to swallow all the delightful sounds she made. Alice was sad to stifle such beautiful music, but she knew the time would come where she could hear her sing her glory out loud, as she was meant to hear it.

And in the meantime she could press one hand over her girlfriend’s mouth while the other one rubbed furiously around her clit through her underwear.

Bella’s eyes were wild and desperate, locking with Alice’s, silently begging her to keep going. Her breath was hot on Alice’s hand, and she was squirming on top of her sheets. Her fingers were relentless, cold and hard and swirling around her needy pearl like a cyclone. Her beautiful bare legs kicked erratically, flopping her blankets over the edge of the bed. Alice was like a winter storm, sharp and cold and beautiful, and her every touch was like a blast of scalding ice.

For Alice, the girl pinned beneath her was a maelstrom of fire. The hot, sweet ichor pumping through her veins was singing to her, making her throat burn and her eyes widen. Laying hands to her slick center was like sinking them in boiling water. She could feel her heart beating, a tantalizing thrumming that rose in pitch and intensity as she elegantly twirled her fingertips around the hard little nub of Bella’s clit. She was conducting the orchestra under her beloved’s soft skin, spurring nerves to action. Like a violinist dragging her silken bow across taut strings, Alice made Bella tense and shiver and curl until day broke, bliss spilling over, and a single hoarse cry whispered into the darkness behind her ice-cold palm.

“You okay up there, Bella?” came Charlie’s voice through the door.

Alice froze, slowly lifting her palm off Bella’s face to reveal her mortified expression.

“Uh, yeah, dad,” she shouted back, fighting to make her voice level. Just getting fingered by my hot vampire girlfriend. Nothing to worry about.

“Alright, then.”

Alice bit back her smile, covering her mouth at the mortified look on Bella’s face. That look morphed into a playful scowl as Alice curled into a ball and rocked back on her heels on the bed, shaking with silent laughter. Bella thumped her lightly on the shoulder.

“Sorry babe,” whispered Alice, pouting. “I promise not to make you cum so loud anymore.”

This made Bella cover her mouth to keep from laughing, and Alice could no longer resist the urge to spread kisses all over her moon-pale face. Thus entwined, they sank back onto the bed, slowly relaxing into each other until their arms and legs were irrevocably entangled.

“By the way, are you going to have to puke that fish up later?”

Alice groaned. “Thanks for reminding me.”
