Chapter 1: Dead Girl Walking

Chapter Text

Wilbur was thankful for the getaway, going over to the chest he saw when he had been revived. He remembered being able to glimpse at a book and also something else laying in their onto of it, he didn't have enough time before Tommy came to figure out what it was. He did wonder though. Why would anyone on the server give him something? It didn't make any sense, most people on the server hated him. He was a villain in their history. Why would anyone give anything to him, let alone a book and whatever the hell was left with it. He walked over to where he had been revived. He climbed over to the chest and opened it.

Inside was the book and also a ring.

The ring was breathtaking. It had a golden band, it lit up in the sunlight like a small halo one that would wrap around his finger. There were three diamonds on it as well. Two white ones, shaped like an angel's wings and when it catched the light in its heavenly prison a rainbow appeared in the wings. The last diamond was pitch black, unlike the two sitting next to it, it took in all light from the sun, stealing it and keeping it for the ring to glow with. It was like a black hole but filled with light escaping from the other parts of it. Just looking at it made Wilburs heart race. Who would give him this?

He took the ring in his hand and held it with the other he picked up the book, wanting to see who gave him this precious halo. He walked over and climbed up the broken hill, climbing so he could see the day light spread across him. He looked down at the ring again seeing it in angelic light, making him smile more. He wondered more about who gave it to him. Who would? He was dead for a long time so why would anyone give him this? It confused him. So he opened the book, excited to see who would give him something so beautiful.

"Quackity, my old rival, my-my kinsmen, we've been through a lot, we went through a lot together and I-I" he said he opened the book, "My dearest friend Wilbur, You were right all along, and I won't make the same mistakes twice," he took a break and looked out into the sunset "Power isn't won from diplomacy, power isn't won from waiting, patiently, floating courthouse in the sky, blah, blah, blah, its won through blades, swords iron," he glanced at the book and looked back up again " and I was right all along" he said and turned the page. "My Dearest, Wilbur, at your place of death I've left you a ring. An engagement ring, in hopes if you were alive you would work right by my side as my partner and we would work together as friends instead of rivals. I would hope the ring would fit," he read.

He placed the ring on his finger and he smiled. Quackity. Quackity was the one who'd gifted the ring. The engagement ring. Quackity, who has been his rival, has given him a ring. He needed to find him. He accepted that all and he was going to work with Quackity until they both die. He was ready for this. 13 years and all that he needed was this a new thing he could do to change everything. He needed Quackity to know he fucking accepted that ring and they were going to get married drunk as fuck and he would be thankful for it because why the fuck not. Quackity his old rival, not only admitted he was right, but gave him a fucking beautiful ring to his dead ass as a from of fucking proposing. Wilbur may me a little touch starved but fuck that he was gonna get fucking married to Quackity because why the fuck not.

"I'm coming to find you, my kinsmen, and I won't stop until we meet," he said smiling. "I was right and I'll help you be right too," he said as he put the book away and climbed down, walking over the museum that was his own country. Long gone now, only a piece of history.

Wilbur walked for a long, long time hoping to find where Quackity would be wanting to find him so he could either call him a bitch for not believing him in the first place or hug him. When he was met with a sign. It was massive growing like a giant, easily able to be seen from far away. Wrote on it was 'Las Nevadas' it looked like he was where he needed to be. He walked down and went towards some stairs. Only to be met with his old rival at the bottom. It was like some fairy tale shit. Like Cinderella meeting the prince at the ball. But in reality it was two rivals meeting again. Nothing magical happened. Just two people meeting again for the first time in months, or years in Wilburs case.

"Wilbur?!" Quackity said, staring at the other "You're alive!?" He yelled
"I'm alive! Oh Quackity I'm alive!" he yelled "I got your letter and," he paused mostly for dramatic effect, and held up his hand, the ring shining as bright as his eyes and Quackity smiled, something both endearing and sick.

"Lets get drunk,"

His head was pounding. It felt like someone was setting constant bombs off in his head. The devil's sun peeking in through the slight opening in the curtains, almost like the pits of hell opening up. He groaned. And turned over, eyes scrunching together.
"Wilbur~" a voice said "Wakey, Wakey, you little bitch" he whispered, Wilbur could clearly hear a smirk in his voice.
"If anyone's a little bitch out of us two it's you," he said, now opening his eyes to Quackity's smirking face.
"Morning, '' he said amused, Wilbur glared at him and looked down at his hand. Along with his engagement ring, was a beat up scratched, burnt ring and he could only remember that it matched Quackity’s ring perfectly.
"So husbands," Quackity said wiggling his eyes brows and still fucking smirking
"Mhm," he said "husbands to fuck over other people," he said smiling "and only to fuck over others," he lied. They both knew he was lying.
"So ready to fuck around?" He asked

"Absolutely"
