They have an hour and she needs to eat, refresh her recollection of the morning’s testimony, and not think about how it would feel, safe and cozy, somewhere else, somewhere warm and soft, with that horrible attorney out there naked on top of her, leaning in to bite her throat, to sink his teeth into her mating gland, to pierce her skin and lap up the blood and claim her as his own.
She hates him. She hates his gorgeous face, she hates his sexy voice, she hates that even her absorbent period underwear can't keep up when she catches a whiff of him.
