Summary
Resigning himself to never finding the pink-haired boy at the park again, Sukuna had skipped out on the rest of the work day to return home. He hadn’t even bothered to call in, unconcerned with something as mundane as his job.
When he’d arrived back at his residence, Sukuna had made a beeline for his darkroom. Even though his camera was an expensive hybrid, allowing him the option of a digital print, he wanted to develop the film himself. He wanted to watch as the photo came into existence beneath his careful, patient ministrations. He wanted to watch as the ghost of the pink-haired boy took form.
It had taken a half hour for the film to develop in its baths before Sukuna carefully pinned the print to the overhead clothesline. As the boy’s smile deepened, etching itself into the expensive photo paper, Sukuna couldn’t help but press his finger to the developing picture. It was a compulsion, a thought that he couldn’t shake. He wanted a little bit of himself to survive alongside Yuuji.
