He didn’t know many ways to show his thanks to her. He knew, really, that words were more valuable to her, so he gave her plenty of those whenever he came back from a run through the levels of hell. But there wasn’t much else to give a chthonic god older than his father’s father that she could possibly want or use…besides, perhaps, a vintage scarcely seen in realms such as theirs.

Summary
“Than,” That damnable smirk. “Are you saying you were turned on?”
“Don’t make fun of me.” The embarrassment in his chest was only tinted more red-hot by the indignace that now joined it.
Zagreus was oblivious to his misery. “Gods, I love it when you blush like that.”
Thanatos could feel it, the gold prickle through his cheeks, stretching up practically to his ears. No matter what Zagreus said, it did not make him feel attractive. “You mock me.”
“I would never,” came Zagreus’ immediate and sincere reply. Then, turning so that he could lean into Than’s space, “Tell me what you’d like.”

“We don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with,” he interjected before Than could say anything. “I know you said I didn’t need to wait for anything but, if you did want to wait for, some things, that’s okay, I meant what I said-”
“Zagreus.” Thanatos blessedly cut off his babbling. “I showed up in your bedroom. I was hoping this would happen.” He said it so casually in his typical deadpan, but with a mischievous smile that sent his head spinning. Zagreus felt a shock run through his system so electric that he briefly wondered if Zeus had somehow bestowed a boon upon him when he wasn’t looking.
“Oh…” he said, stupidly, before collecting himself. “Well then.”

Summary
Zagreus smiles as he steps through the veil of silence Nyx has projected over the entrance to his room. His quick footsteps throw sparks across the hard stone floor. There’s Than, hovering over the corner by the bookshelves, and Meg standing beside him. Zagreus opens his mouth, perhaps to remind Than of the tabletop game and tease him about how embarrassed he had seemed at the result. But his words fade before he can voice them.
The scene in the room derails his train of thought and leaves him gaping like a particularly unintelligent surface-dwelling sea creature.
Than is holding an infant.
