February 14th - 6pm. Montreal vs Boston.
It wasn't often that Shane and Ilya got to spend a whole night together during regular season. So when their game falls on Valentines day, with a few days off after, it is no suprise that they plan in using that time to their advantage.
The Metros were flying the WAGs to Boston for WAGs night since it was Valentines Day. They also gave the guys a chance to sleep in with a late afternoon flight home. Seeing as Jackie was coming with the WAGs, Shane knew he'd have no problem sneaking out to spend his night with Ilya. After all why wouldn't Hayden want the hotel room for him and his wife.
While Shane may not be expecting anything, Ilya has big plans for their first Valentines Day together as boyfriends. Ilya usually isn't the big romantic gesture one in the relationship, but something about this just felt right. He got up extra early on February 14th just to make sure everything was perfect for their night together.

Ilya stood there nervously, waiting for Shane’s lectures to start raining down. Making sure Ilya knew how important these brand deals were, and how it showed that he was dedicated to his game. He was used to the routine, it wasn’t the first time around.
But with Rozanov’s confession, silence followed instead. Shane had a different look in his eye, not his usual puppy eyes that Rozanov loved. His eyes almost darkened, the sides of his mouth threatening a smirk.
Shane held Ilya’s chin with two fingers, lifting his head up as to inspect his face.
“Je suis déçu.” He dragged his words out slowly, I’m disappointed.Or,
Shane has had enough of Ilya's grumpy Russian mumbling after a small argument, and decides to flip the narrative. Wrapping Ilya around his finger from a couple, simple French words.

Ilya Rozanov is a rational man. He could probably do it. He has weighed his options. He has thought it through. Anything to be able to stay in North America. To never again have to worry about being ripped from the life he's trying to build. To finally belong to a place that would not haunt him or hunt him down.
Ilya could definitely do it. Right?Or: Ilya throws Shane an semi-suicidal idea and Shane throws him back what he asked for: a fucking atomic bomb.
Or: Shane shows Ilya what it feels like to be totally annihilated by pure love and devotion. Ilya shows it to him right back.
