    In which Demodus Blix has a terrible no-good very bad day (and also a new crush, but that's none of your damn business), Azune Nayar has moments of unpleasant introspection followed by moments of reassuring conversation, and Murray Mag'nesson wonders if they are going to get out of this sewer anytime soon (because she is an inch away from murdering at least one of her two favourite ex-students).

    Now with an unplanned epilogue in which Azune gets a man fired, and Demodus should not find that as endearing as he does.

    The knob shudders, turning slowly. The pair of them both swivel to face it. Wick takes a second to gather himself, an explanation or a spell pending on his lips depending on who it is, but he doesn’t get the chance to offer either. He’s aware of the door’s hinges squealing loudly as it's swung open, when all of a sudden Tyranny grabs him by the lapels of his fine suit, slams him against the wall directly in front of the door, and plants her mouth firmly against his.

    Wick and Tyranny infiltrate a gala, but their mission doesn't go quite according to plan.

He turns back around, so that she can only see the profile of his features, his filament tattoos reflecting softly in the water. “Just…you.” And she recognizes that desperate chord in his voice, because she’s heard it so often in hers. Wicander Halovar is lonely.
