Of course, no one could exactly blame him for that, not with what had happened back then, but it was still a little ironic. All the invincibility in the world, with only one weak spot that only one person knew of, and yet he couldn’t escape emotional damage. When he’d brought this up to Annabeth, she’d laughed and hugged him, not letting go for a bit. Had it not been for Annabeth, Percy wasn’t entirely sure where he’d be.

Sure, it made some level of sense that the son of Poseidon would have an island to himself, but actually seeing it was another story.

“He just gave you a private island?” Jason raised an eyebrow, unable to hold back his shock.

“Yes and no,” Annabeth was the one to answer. “Yes, Poseidon did give Percy a private island. We’ve been there a few times, but no, this isn’t it. This is more of a resort that Percy technically owns.”

Percy spoke again. “I was fourteen, and I washed up there.” He knew that Chiron knew where there was. I was there for two weeks, and I had no way of leaving. But it was also… peaceful. It was like, I knew I had to leave, and I wanted to, but I just couldn’t.”
Or, Percy finally has the time to rest and reflect after the wars. And Calypso is back. And he's reading the Odyssey in class. These things all together do not paint a pretty picture.

That last part had made Percy feel so warm inside that he had agreed to his girlfriend’s idea without thinking about the potential for any awkward questions.

Important conversations, monster-fighting adventures, and some big questions ensue through a collection of missing moments peppered throughout the Riordanverse books. The first 5 chapters are set between The Last Olympian and The Lost Hero. The rest of the chapters are set during and after The Heroes of Olympus, The Senior Year Adventures, and Trials of Apollo, and each are labeled to state when it they are set within the chapter summary.
