Summary
So he had won, he returned, he smiled and joked and was sunshine and silliness, he was the person everyone needed him to be and it changed depending on who it was. He didn’t share the truth about how he was struggling with more than just the emotional toll of the last few months because that would strain the relationships he worked so hard to get back.
The thing that kept him awake at night alongside all his other worries was the realisation that this family that he held so dear that he had wanted so badly, no longer felt a permanent part of his life,
He didn’t trust it anymore
But no matter how many times he told himself he was happy and it was all ok, he couldn’t ignore the black pit inside of him that he was slowly drowning in that whispered you are
not wanted,
no one really cares,
you are unlovable,
you are exhausting.
Post law suit everything is getting back to normal .everyone has forgiven Buck and he is back where he belongs.
So why does he feel so broken?

Summary
“You are a fake.” Eddie tips his chin up, thrilled that he found something to break her smug smile. “You and I both know it. You are a liar. You take advantage of people for financial gain. You are the worst kind of human.”
“I will not tolerate such disrespect.” Aurora’s voice grows cold, along with the room. There’s a breeze that picks up, swirling around them. But—that’s all a figment of Eddie’s imagination. An illusion conjured up in his head. As is the golden glow flashing in the crow’s watchful eyes. “I will give you one last chance to take back your words.”

Or, after pissing off a witch, Eddie has to redefine his own beliefs to break a curse or risk losing Buck forever.

Summary
Buck cannot bear the possibility of dying leaving any love unspoken. And at the same time, he is struggling to find the courage to say so many things he wants to say. That he needs to say.
So... he writes a number of letters to be delivered should anything happen to him.
And then, because Buck has Buck's luck, they get delivered prematurely.

Summary
Eddie is working hard on figuring himself out, getting a life, and also reestablishing contact with Buck after worrying about them drifting apart and their friendship changing. Realizing that sometimes people misunderstand his relationship with Buck should not be the shock it is. Also, if Chris could stop launching verbal sneak attacks on him, he'd appreciate it.
Meanwhile, Buck's learning to parent a toddler while not at all being insecure about something said by one Margaret Buckley. He's just studiously avoiding the word 'Parent' like the plague, and otherwise doing his damn best.
or
If Buck had a nickel for every time someone left him their kid in their will without his knowledge–well, he’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice now.

Summary
Buck aches.
His leg aches, his head swims, and his heart seizes.
Now that Eddie is in Texas, Buck’s usual anchor feels far out of reach.
It’s too easy to slip back into old patterns as the memories he so carefully boxed away start to claw their way out.
He’s survived worse. But this time, it’s quiet.
This time, there’s no fire, no chaos
