In 1976, Severus discovers his father, Tobias, is a runaway Prince of Genovia. While his father disdains the royal legacy, Severus grabs it with both hands—Muggle or not. Thus is born Prince Severus of Genovia, a man who need never bow to a Dark Lord. In 1995, things come to a head. Voldemort's minions assassinate Severus's unborn heir, a strike designed to keep his Muggle daughter Amelia as their heir apparent propaganda piece. Here begins the Revenge of the House of Renaldo.

Shipped off to Genovia, he lost Lily to Potter's Gryffindor heroics. To forget her—and to show her what she was missing—Severus threw himself into teen-brained, princely decadence. The result? An illegitimate Muggle daughter, Mia.
It's 1995. Lily is dead, and a cancer diagnosis has left Severus sterile. Forced to thrust Mia onto the geopolitical chessboard to secure his line, Severus believes he can control the game—even as France weaponizes his crown against a rising Dark Lord.
Starts YA, turns significantly darker after chapter 16...

2. It's 1995. Lily is dead, and a cancer diagnosis has left Severus sterile. Forced to thrust Mia onto the geopolitical chessboard to secure his line, Severus believes he can control the game—even as France weaponizes his crown against a rising Dark Lord.
3. Severus royally fucks up. Mia now believes Death Eater propaganda: that her magic was stolen, and his desperate play to secure a magical heir with Charity Burbage ends with their unborn child assassinated by Voldemort's minions.
