Summary
Belos is dead. The Collector is defeated. The portal door is working again and everyone now just has to move on with their lives and rebuild normality as best they can. This is easier for some than for others.
When Willow invites Hunter to Grom, he assumes it is so that he, as a non-student of Hexside, can still be there to help Skara in her duties as Grom Queen. Emerald Entrails stick together, after all. Clearly there could be no other reason for Willow to invite him. This is all set to be a simple, friendly combined dance and fight with a demonic entity that reads minds and conjures your worst fears into reality. No biggie.
Except with Boscha and her crew of bullies around and feeling braver than ever, this Grom might not be as simple as they all hoped. Especially when Hunter discovers that being the reincarnated container of hundreds of years of Golden Guards' fears is a bad thing to be around a fear demon.

Willow and Hunter both turned their heads over to the doorway, Gus had his camera out, what a traitor. Amity was sharing a bowl of popcorn with Luz. Luz gave Hunter a thumbs up. When did they? They seriously had time to make popcorn. Today was a terrible day for Willow. They took delight in her distress, no more living, laughing, or loving would take place today.
OR: Willow keeps blushing around Hunter, this is a problem!

Hunter's features contorted uncomfortably, but he managed another strained laugh. "Sure, yeah, something like that. Figured it'd be an interesting hypothetical discussion, I dunno."
Darius ignored that. "Who do you want to impress?"
Every muscle in the boy's frame clenched. "I said hypothetical!" He spluttered, the slightest pink twinge to his cheekbones.
Yes, because that reaction was absolutely warranted for a hypothetical discussion.

Her hands lift slowly, cautiously, until they cup his wrists. Despite her caution, Hunter still jerks, startling at the contact. Willow reflexively opens her hands, letting him pull away from her.
His eyes dart over her hands, then to her face. With a shaking breath, he lowers his hands back to hers.
“Was it… Belos?” she whispers. It’s so quiet Hunter almost doesn’t hear her.
Hunter’s throat closes up. “I learned how to braid because of him.”

The persistent chanting of ‘it wasn't him’ and ‘Hunter is fine’ went quiet. She realized looking at him from that stairs that even though her dream wasn't real, what happened could have been. She was sick of not knowing. She didn't deserve to know, to ask him. It wasn't her place, but she had to. Even if he lied to her, she had to try.

Willow was in the same spot she had laid down in. Luz had a careful arm around Gus, they sat curled up on the couch watching closely. Amity and Camila were on either side of Willow. Amity ran her hands through her hair while Camila braced her weight to her chest. Willow was wailing out a mix between screaming and sobbing. And she kept saying his name.

But maybe together they can find a way to deal with it all and mend their scars, old and new.
