Summary
Max didn’t expect much of his trip to a ski resort. He can barely even ski. He was just planning on going a few times then sitting down in a booth to wait for Lando and Oscar, two born ski prodigies and then congratulate them after Oscar popped the question.
So imagine his surprise when he crashes into F1 World champion Charles Leclerc on the beginner track, and then the man’s first sentence to him is something like this
“You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen”
Now especially that, wasn’t on Max’s bingo card at all.

Summary
Charles doesn’t know how old Max is. Five and twenty, at least. No wonder Lorenzo is fearful. Heat courses shorten and burn out quicker with age. After four years of marriage an omega should’ve long since whelped. It is no surprise then that everyone seems so excited for his marriage and mating. The Lords of Ferrari praying for his happiness, and the whelping of healthy children it should lead to.
If only they had found someone prettier.

Summary
Carlos leads them wordlessly through the winding corridors of the hospitality to his driver’s room. Once the door shuts with a click of the lock behind Max’s back, Carlos turns to look at him, the silence between them sharp as a razor.
The creature inside his chest whines and claws at his ribs in a desperate attempt to get out and bury itself in the only arms it has ever known peace in.
“I’m sorry,” Carlos says finally, “about your race.”
“I’m sorry about yours,” Max replies, stilted.
or, sometimes Max feels that Carlos is the only one who has ever really known him.
