Kiryu had been given the rarest thing: someone who loved him without condition despite being the most undeserving of it. Haruka had loved him with such naivete, and stayed with him even when all he had to offer her was the worst versions of himself – which is to say recklessly, which is to say without protecting herself from the eventual cost of it. And he, who had survived everything, had not thought to protect her either, not without amputating himself from her life and forcing her to swallow the grief that followed.
“Don’t think like that,” he says, more to himself than anyone else in the room, “If I can talk to her, I know she’ll want to come back.”

Kiryu is released from prison a year early on parole and discovers that Haruka has gone missing. After finding her pregnant and alone in a village just outside of Onomichi, Hiroshima, he decides to stay by her side until the baby arrives and he can bring her home.

Summary

Kiryu is more than eager to throw himself in prison to save the Morning Glory kids' reputations, but without Haruka waiting for his return, he decides to follow her to Onomichi, Hiroshima instead. There, secretly hiding alone together in a town full of strangers, they are forced to cope with feelings that could destroy their very relationship.Very loosely based on some events in Yakuza 6.

Summary

Two years after the events of Yakuza 5, Kiryu and Haruka are back in Okinawa together to live out their happy ending in domestic bliss as a couple. The three youngest orphans, now teenagers, remain at Morning Glory, and the eldest five have moved out and begun their own lives.
