She likes to toy with his fragile heart, to dump all of the bad and sad in this cruel world on his lanky, narrow shoulders, and then she laughs in delight when he struggles to carry the heavy load of grief and anger. Yeonjun’s mysterious return, despite his supposed death four years ago, and his frivolous demands make things much harder for Beomgyu.

Summary
After their last concert Yeonjun had stumbled off the stage and was unable to get back up for a while. He tried to assure their manager that he probably pushed himself too hard on this last show, but his manager wouldn’t hear of it, and he forced Yeonjun to get checked by the physician on site before going back to the hotel. The members were worried, but since they still had a Weverse live planned, the staff urged them to go back to the hotel to take a well-deserved shower and prepare for the live. They would follow them together with Yeonjun as soon as possible.
The physician had taken one look and simply confirmed Yeonjun’s reasoning: over-exhaustion. He gave him a sports drink, told him to eat a decent meal and take it easy the next few days. No straining activities. However, once Yeonjun got back to the hotel ‘taking it easy’ was apparently not in the cards for him...

“Okay, I wanna go home,” Beomgyu says, removing himself from where they had caged him in between their bodies again, panting slightly and looking at both of them.
Soobin and Yeonjun look at him and then at each other.
“Uhm… Who are you taking home?” Soobin asks, hesitating.
“Both?”

Summary
Yeonjun wordlessly does, pretending he can’t feel his hands shaking. He jumps at the unexpected touch of Beomgyu’s hands steadying him, and it’s not comfortable to not know what’s coming, but Yeonjun can’t see the eyes locking on him. A thumb rubs soothingly right over where his vein rests just beneath his skin. Yeonjun sucks in a breath.
“Relax.” Breath fans over his skin, cold and raising goosebumps all along his arm and down his back. “I won’t hurt you. I don’t break pretty things.”
Then Beomgyu bites him, and Yeonjun loses the ability to makes words.

Summary
Sometimes, he catches himself missing the old Beomgyu more than the old world itself, and maybe he should but he never blames himself for it, not when one of the few things that mattered in the old world was Beomgyu himself anyway.
or, the world is in flames, people are dying left and right but it’s beomgyu and the way he’s slowly drifting away from all of them that yeonjun seems more concerned about.
