For someone who designs permanent structures, Kaveh is incredibly good at making sure everything in his life has an expiration date. He’s ready for the fights, the rent, and the exasperated sighs. He is entirely unprepared for Alhaitham being kind.

Summary
Logically, writing to someone who cannot read the words is an inefficient use of ink. But as the silence in the shared house grows heavier, Alhaitham finds that his usual logic is completely useless against the weight of a quiet house. Left alone with a pair of unused keys and an untouched drafting table, he turns to parchment to process a grief he refuses to show to the rest of the world.
