"And I still want you."
Quickly, his hands grabbed Phuwin's waist, scared that he would step away again if the realization hit faster. Phuwin's eyes widened, but in the movement, his own hands stabilized themselves on Pond's shoulders.
"W-What?"
"You heard it."
"Pond..." he sighed.
Phuwin looked away, his hands pushing him lightly to still create some distance between them, but there was a fire in his chest that kept burning from the two hands grounding him on his waist.
"Look at me baby..."
"Fuck Pond, you shouldn't call me that."
Or: Phuwin flirts with his best friend's brother, which leads to more and more issues.

Summary
Seven snapshots that document the growing relationship between F1 driver Max Verstappen and rising architect Charles Leclerc—from Max spending his first paycheck on a pair of Chanel shoes for Charles to Charles Leclerc storming into Max's motorhome after his first big crash, these are the moments in between races and champagne showers.
Just two boys, a little silly, a little shy, but very much in love.
(And maybe there’s a bit of chaos too, when the world learns just who reigning Formula One world champion Max Verstappen’s mysterious partner really is.)

There’s a long-standing curse over the F1 grid, one that everyone knows of and which could happen to anyone. Not anything that would stop a race - but things that would be an inconvenience.
Or: Max is cursed with cat ears and a tail and tries (not very hard) to not make it everyone’s business. Mostly, he is just very embarrassed by the tail which seems to have its own mind.

Summary
“Your name is Charles?”
“Yeah. Charles Leclerc.”
They stared at each other. The rumbling of an engine starting sounded from somewhere outside.
“You really don’t know who I am?”
Max shook his head wordlessly.
“So then… back at the bar–”
“I said the first name that came to mind,” Max said hollowly. “I was hoping that you’d just go along with it.”
The man–Charles–bit his lip, dropping his eyes to where his fingers were drumming on the countertop. His shoulders began to shake slightly, and, for a second, Max was afraid that he’d burst into tears.
That wouldn’t be fair. Max was the one who had been drugged and then essentially abducted, even if it was by a well-meaning, apparently famous person. If anyone should be crying, it was definitely him.
or, Max gets his drink spiked in a club, and rescue comes from an unexpected source.

“Of course, I know you are not a criminal.” Max quickly reassures Charles.
“Oh,” Charles finally says with a nonchalant roll of his shoulders. “But it’s true, though? I am a mafioso. It’s not exactly a secret. I thought you knew. The whole of Monaco knows.”
Huh, Max thinks.
“Huh?” Max says.
“Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh,” Max says again.

Rule Eight. Addendum: the person must be F1 personnel. No GP2 or GP3 drivers.
— — —
Max knew why #8 had been added to the Winner’s Room Rules, it was to protect young drivers from the perusal of older men. Unfortunately for Max, he's the youngest driver in Formula One history, for winning his first race before his nineteenth birthday.
So really all Rule Eight is doing is keeping him from choosing someone his own age,
OR: The FIA lets Max Verstappen break one (1) rule.
