Growing up, Tim had rarely thought to be grateful of his parents. Grateful to them, yes. He learned to be thankful from the moment he could form the words ‘thank you’. But he was never particularly grateful of the two people who were so rarely in his company. It did not matter, in the cold marble and glass world he lived in, whether or not one loved their parents.

Summary
Tim never got the recognition that he deserved for all his work. At least not from the ones he worked along side with. Weirdly it was always the ones he defeated and worked against that actually appreciated his efforts.
1 year away from Gotham. 1 year without Bruce and he realized why Bruce was always so hard on him. Why Bruce always kept him busy and made sure to keep an eye on him. It wasn't because he wasn't good enough, it was precisely because he had too much potential. Without Bruce there to keep him in line, he crossed a lot of lines and now walks a morally grey path.
Bruce is back now though, so vacations over. It's time to return to Gotham and face the music. What will happen when Tim shows up after a year of radio silence much different than before. What happened?
