Summary
Harry never recovered from the war and from all of the abuse he had suffered at the hands of the Dursleys. Hermione and Luna, desperate to save him, enact a last resort plan that sends Hermione back in time twenty years to the night of Halloween, 1981, but she doesn't arrive in time to save James and Lily.
Fortunately, the next-best solution arrives in the form of Sirius Black, and she stops him from chasing after Wormtail so that they can raise Harry together as their own son, keeping him hidden from a manipulative Headmaster who is hellbent on seeing the prophecy fulfilled.
