Summary

In the aftermath of one of the worst days of her life, Lucy leaves New Vegas in search of a new purpose. If she happens to track down the ghoul along the way, then so be it...except he's not in Colorado, where she expected he might be. Instead, he's become an unwilling participant in the experiments at Vault Seventeen.

Post-Season 2. New Vegas is on the brink of war as the NCR and the Legion fight for control. Lucy realizes this isn't her fight, she refuses to join any faction and instead follows a different lead: Mr. House, now a digital consciousness inside her Pip-Boy, reveals that the Enclave has been manipulating the wasteland from the shadows since before the bombs fell. When she learns that The Ghoul is being lured into a trap, she leaves Vegas to find the truth.

Summary
While traversing the surface together, Lucy becomes attached to The Ghoul and finally feels safe with him. She develops other feelings, especially when he allows her to sleep snuggled against him every night for protection.
Lucy realizes she wants to get even closer with her travel companion, who turns out to be Cooper Howard from the old movies. The subtle flirtation and sexual tension increase, until one night when Lucy boldly seduces Cooper.

Summary
The Ghoul was absolutely smitten with Lucy, and he wanted her to know it.
He devised a plan to woo her in the way he would have back in the day, even with his limited resources and the lack of luxuries he would have gifted a woman. His plan was solid, but it all went to hell in a handbasket.
"So he developed a plan, sketching it out in his mind like a blueprint for a house he'd never get to build. He would woo her in the way he imagined she would like—the way his mother had taught him a lady deserved. She grew up in the remnants of a world that he had long left behind, a world where men stood when a woman entered the room and where women's hands were delicately kissed rather than roughly grabbed. Back in his day, he would have ordered a dozen of her favorite flowers, he would have taken her to the city for her favorite meal, and then to the theater where he’d rest his arm on the back of her chair. And at the end of the night, if he were feeling really bold, he might even try to sneak a kiss while moths fluttered against the yellow light on her daddy’s porch."
