Satoru pokes him again. “I was joking, but are you high? Can I get a hit?”
Suguru blinks his dizziness away. “No, Satoru, what? You don't smoke. And I'm not high, you ass, I've been sober for weeks and I don't smoke on school nights, you know that.” He has to pull back slightly as Satoru leans forward onto his knees, a hand raised and poised to feel Suguru's forehead for a fever.
“Why are you acting so weird then?”
Suguru levels him with a flat look, jaw opened slightly as he conjures up some excuse; that is when Satoru's clumsiness rears its ugly head. Satoru falters slightly in his lean, going unsteady on his knees, and confident as always that Suguru will catch him, immediately latches onto Suguru's arm for stability.

Langa is so tired he would do anything to get Reki to be quiet. So he says, in English, “For the love of God,” and then, in Japanese, “Reki, come sleep up here.”
